Thankfully, the information desk at the Kyoto station provided a map and highlighted the walking path to the building. Once at the building, the Resi Stay team was professional and courteous and made the experience much better.

Breakfast was not offered. Finding the office to check in took a lot of work, as my phone's Wi-Fi was having issues. I called from the station, and I was waiting for someone to answer the phone with the provided number. The automated message kept stating that it should refer to the email or website, yet that is impossible for travelers without internet access. Please consider adding the waking directions to the automated message.

There was a relatively large bathroom and a washing/drying machine in the room (with detergent). The tatami room provided a space to eat and relax. Beds were comfortable and was large enough to fit 2 people (per bed). While the check-in was in a location quite far from the actual hotel (although close to the main train station), they provided a free shuttle bus to the apartment.

The room was relatively small and the area around the kitchen was smaller than that in the picture (it fit 2 seats, not a sofa). There was also only 1 small closet to store all of our clothes. When people smoked, we could smell the smoke in our room (room 401), which meant that we could not open the windows. The location was around 15 minutes away walk from JR Kyoto station and there weren't many shops/restaurants nearby (except for Convenience stores).

We stayed in the family room. It was our favorite hotel room during our stay in Japan. The children loved the tatami room. The tv had access to Netflix which was great for the very rainy afternoon that we were there. Staff was helpful and had great English, there was also 2 free options for bag storage. If I ever go back to Kyoto, this will definitely my first choice.

The only thing that would improve the stay would be a breakfast place nearby but honestly the convenient store near by had everything we needed for that.

Clean and room looks exactly as pictured. Staff were attentive and responsive as I requested for additional pillows and they were prepared. Room was spacious and comfortable. The shower area is also much bigger than most hotels or airbnbs out there. Location was relatively near to kyoto station too. Washing machine and facilities were great and easy to use as well. :)

Check in process took quite long, we waited for quite a long time as there was only 1 staff attending to customers initially. You'll also have to wait for quite a while for the free shuttle service from the check in location as the hotel is quite a distance away. Also, you can hear footsteps from above your floor pretty loudly; if you're a light sleeper you may need ear plugs.

Staff speak fluent english, make communication easier. They also very prompt in responding to any queries. Bus stop is near the hotel. And they provide one way shuttle from the reception counter to hotel, for free. The room is well equipped, and spacious. Especially love their washing machine with dryer. My kids love that their tv channel is so complete. They almost don't want to leave the room and enjoy watching anime .

I did request for toothbrush. The staff then ask me to choose do I want to take toothbrush, or meal/drink voucher. Since we need toothbrush, I opt for toothbrush. One toothbrush per pax for our entire stay. Apparently, arriving to the hotel lobby, toothbrush was provided for free. It is small /minor issue, but well, seems like we wasted our meal/drink vouchers. Also, bear in mind that they reception counter open only until 8 pm. So, if you arrived later than 8 pm, u might not be able to check in. Also, the hotel is only accesible by bus. Which, if you are carrying luggage, this could be an issue. Since busses in Kyoto does not allowed luggage onboard.

The check-in reception is near Kyoto Station but different from the hotel location. It was raining and was transported free to the hotel so kudos to that, together with umbrellas. The staffs were attentive and helpful. The room was clean and cozy, suitable for 5 pax and comes with washing machine and a small kitchenette with induction stove, microwave and fridge to cook food.

The pillow a a bit small and hard to my personal liking. The location is about 16min of walk from the Kyoto Station, not recommended if having big luggage or seniors. Nevertheless, you can take public transport to Kyoto Station.

Very spacious for hotels in japan. Perfect for families. Modern and new facilities. Loved the heated shower/bath option. Blankets were nice and fluffy. Check-in close to Kyoto Station. And they provided shuttle service to property.

Didn’t have too many food options close by. It’s located in a quiet area. Major metro was about 8-10min walk, okay for adults but hard for some kids that are not used to walking. Bus stop is pretty close ~ 2-3 min.

It is a self service hotel but all ammenities are available including washing suds. It is as if you got a dream apartment. There are cleaning vacuum which is very good. The toilet is huge!!! It is superb if you are already adults who do not need the room cleaning. It is a very good experience. They have free primevideo and netflix too. The food downstairs are very good and large serving too. The checkin area is not at the same property but they offer good shuttle at 3pm to 8pm

I stayed here with my family (couple, two children 10 and 13 years, and my mother-in-law). In 2020, we stayed at Resi Stay Cotorune, and we decided to try another unit of Resi Stay in Kyoto now in 2023. Despite the fact, it was a little smaller than Cotorune, RESI STAY Hotel Sun Chlorella is also very well located, everything in the apartment are very, very new, modern and clean, it is near Kyoto Station and almost in front the 207 line bus stop. 207 line was very useful for us because it has clock anticlockwise routes connecting key locations in Kyoto like Gion, Kiyozumidera Temple, Shijo Dori (important commercial street). For us, foreigners, 207 route looks like JR Yamanote line in Tokyo. RESI STAY Hotel Sun Chlorella is also connected to WholeDeli, a modern Asian restaurant. We loved the food of this place! As Cotorune, Sun Chlorella has also a useful room to leave you luggage before check-in or after check-out time. It´s important to remember that the check-in must be made at the Resi Stay office (one block from Kyoto Station).

Everthing at RESI STAY Hotel Sun Chlorella was perfect. But, if you compare it to Cotorune, I think that Cotorune area has more options of restaurants, stores.

This is a good clean n comfortable option in Kyoto. You pick up your key/instructions from an office near the train station n they have a shuttle bus to take you to your hotel. Bathroom is a good size n the kitchen facilities definitely came in handy n the beds were great too.

Not many restaurants or shops really close. There was a deli/cafe downstairs but we couldnt find it open .
