lounge time is great with so many snacks and drinks at a lovely space

Breakfast weren’t changed every day !

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Park. The room I booked on booking.com did not say it did NOT have a window. When I checked in and found it did not have a window, I knew I could not stay in such a room. I went to the front desk and asked if I could upgrade and they generously did so for a very reasonable extra fee. This room was very large-almost a suite-a d had a large window, shower and tub. It was beautiful and meticulously maintained during my stay. The hotel also provides free coffee/espresso/cappuccino during the day, a lovely afternoon tea with sweets and evening drinks and appetizers, all of which are included. The location was excellent for sightseeing to all areas with easy subway access. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is not well represented on booking.com. It’s far better than the entry appears. We stayed in one of the corner suites, and that room was probably the best hotel room we have ever stayed in. Panoramic views from floor to ceiling windows and a balcony all the way round the corner. Perfect. The breakfast was exquisite but eel en papilotte is perhaps not everyone’s idea of a satisfying breakfast. The cooking is impeccable, but the menu itself might need review from a foreigner’s point of view. We felt bad for the chef (s) as we asked not to be served milk pudding and green tea. Menu choices notwithstanding, the service was lovely and the quality of the food impecable.

The room and bathroom were large. A variety of lighting options. Comfortable and furnishings, quality bed linens, and fluffy towels. Large shower. In room Nespresso machine, water, and tea. The facilities were very clean. Bathing and meditation room. Patisserie, bar, and restaurant in the hotel. Daily tea and coffee service from the patisserie or cocktails and nibbles from the restaurant in the hotel's second floor lounge which was a fabulous surprise. The location was excellent and close to restaurants, shopping, and transportation. Walkable to some cultural sights.

Nothing, we can't think of anything we didn't like. Our experience here was great! The hotel is of high standard and an excellent value.

The hotel has contemporary and luxurious interior with a great spacious rooms. Located brief walk of 2min from the subway. The staff was great since we had some problems with luggage delivery, the front desk was quick and efficient letting us know what happened and when will luggage arrive. I’m grateful for that. Since we had one day delayed luggage delivery with one of our suitcase, the Hotel’s laudromat (laundry room) came quite in handy - there are two running washing and drying machines for additonal fees up to 500 yen per use. The hotel also have a private separated pool for men and women and meditaton room; there was also an option for meditaton in your room with instructions and relaxing music delivered from your tv. My absolute favorite part was the bath and shower option in the bathroom. The hotel also provides you a bathing salt in your bathroom vanity.

If you’re staying in the room at lower levels, you will have to keep your heavy curtains mostly closed as this hotel is not very tall and people can see inside from the streets. However, hotel provides you a notice about posibility of this happening, which is a nice detail.

I loved the breakfast because of the different experience, however, my boyfriend did not because he is used to and likes his usual big American breakfast. The property is very well-maintained in excellent condition and very well-appointed. Our room got daily cleaning service. Easy to get a taxi right outside. It cost a little over 1000 yen to get to and from the Kyoto train station and Gion district. ATM machine at 7-Eleven next door.

Loved the place - rooms are very spacious comparing to other hotels in Japan. Super clean, nice new building, located close to a metro station, also easy to walk to many restaurants and bars

Turned out that the room we booked (standard) does not have a window which was not mentioned in the description. So we had to ask for upgrade as room without window makes me really claustrophobic. Probably would have chosen another hotel if it was mentioned in the description as price is relatively high considering that there is no window in the room

Serene and peaceful. Location nice neighborhood and walking distance to Resturants, Shopping and cultural sites. The room size is quite sizable for hotels in Japan. The service is impeccable! The 2F lounge offered afternoon snacks and evening drinks..nice open area with street views.  Everyone went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect!

Would recommend changing breakfast fix menu daily and offering more options. Also, it would be nice if some of the snacks and drinks from the lounge area could be taken back to the room to enjoy.

Don't hesitate to book the hotel. Location is great. We were able to walk to many places. The room is comfortable and big compared to what you usually get . Love the free lounge access, that's a big plus. Coin laundry is available. Public bath is comfortable and open till late, and if you are shy like me, nobody uses it when it's past 11 at night. Hotel staff all spoke english. Amenities given in the room are excellent.

The meditation mist room smells a bit weird. No fitness area.

Everything was great! The room was very nice, the bed was super comfortable. Everyone was really friendly and everything was clean. The Hotel is a one minute walk from the Karasuma Okie Station. Perfect! Loved every minute of the stay. The Lounge is cool and you get free drinks and food there.

The breakfast was just too fancy for us. By no means bad. It tasted very good but if you like something simple in the morning like toast or something it is just a bit too much.
