We only stayed one night but this hotel was excellent. We arrived early and were able to pay $20 for an early check in. The room was a good size. Had 2 chairs and a small table. Enough room for suitcases. Beds were comfortable. The onsen was so nice, and there were ice creams for after. My husband had the late night ramen and loved it. We had the buffet breakfast and were impressed with the variety. We were able to leave our luggage the next day. The location is 2 mins walk from the station. Definitely great value.

This hotel was in a great location just a short walk to the station. It had an excellent bath area. The rooms were large enough. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant but we had breakfast which was good but not great. We used the hotel as a base whilst visiting the Monkey Park and onsen villages. The staff helped us ship luggage to Tokyo.

We found that people had breakfast early in Nagano and many things had run out but were not replaced. We were not late to breakfast and that was disappointing. As a gluten free person and therefore limited, I was disappointed to be unable to get eggs.

I love this property! We arrived late in the evening and had to leave the next morning so we didn’t get a chance to visit the onsen but the hotel itself is located on a very cute street in Nagano with lots of grade restaurants, and the train station at five minute walk away. Also, they had snacks in the fridge and also they serve free noodles at night which I thought was really cool but sadly we didn’t get to try those either. I want to come back here for the full experience!

Onsen area as a whole was superb - hot spring baths were big (one was outdoors, very nice to be able to stare at the moon while bathing), showers area was clean and well maintained and the change room was excellent - with nice mirror space and plenty of accessories for the guests. Room was great equipped as well. Basically, anything I needed (or thought I may need) it was already there. Food was tasty - both for breakfast (it had both typical Japanese and continental elements) and small dinner - and staff everywhere was attentive and helpful. My stay as a whole: really relaxing and comfortable!

Great onsen/sento on the rooftop -- indoor bath, outdoor bath, massage chair and sauna -- better than many of the dedicated onsen facilities I went to elsewhere in Japan. Spacious room with a separated entryway and lots of modern touches. Lots of amenities. Free snacks, like night time ramen, ice cream by the onsen at night and prebiotic drinks by the onsen in the morning. Location right next to JR station.

Is my second time staying at Dormy Inn Nagano and it still maintains its standard. Hotel is near station. Onsen is nice and peaceful place after whole day’s activities. Lobby provides free beverages all day. Staff are professional to help me forward my luggage to another hotel. Highly recommend anyone to stay here when visiting Nagano.

Excellent location a brief walk from Nagano Station. Area is very quiet - peaceful nights sleep during our 4 night stay. 7/11 right next to the Hotel. Many freebies available such as ice cream, yakult - hot drinks. Fabulous Onsen. Very Good varied breakfast. Great to have so many restaurants nearby.

We have always stay at the Dormy Inn branches whenever we visited Japan. Its location is usually within a 8 minutes walk from the train station. The Dormy Inn Nagano is about a 5 minutes walk across from the Nagano Station with many eateries around the area.

The standard rooms are rather small unless you upgrade to a bigger one.

Location was central, a five minute walk from Nagano station. There was a seven-eleven right next door to the hotel which was also very convenient. The staff spoke very basic English but it was good enough for check in. The room itself was relatively small but for the price it had a very comfortable bed. Free washing machine which is always a plus.

The shower was not the cleanest I've seen but not dirty enough for me to give it a bad review.

Very healthy and tasty food made with local fresh ingredients. Friendly and attentive staff. Clean and quiet facility. Big room.

The facility has long history aka old. The water temperature is too hot in the private bathroom within the room. The water temperature in the public bath is perfect though. The provided slippers are too slippery and hard to walk up and down the stairs.
