The hotel was at least a 10 minute walk from the train station but was still very close to the rail tracks. At first sight that was a bit worrying but the soundproofing worked so well one could not hear the trains at all. It actually became an attraction to sit at the window and watch the trains coming and going. The beds, even the sofa bed, were very comfortable. The hotel is across the road from a small mall with good selection of restaurants. The Korean restaurant we tried the first night was great but it closes around 7. We tested the Japanese one specializing in Nagoya quisine, the next day when we dined later in evening which was great as well. It was pouring down both evenings so we were not tempted to venture very far. The hotel itself has various restaurants with interesting menus but they were a bit fancy for a family with children. There is also a Family Mart nearby if one wants to shop there instead of eating out.

On the whole we cannot complain: The room was a good size, even with the sofa folding out to a bed but it was a bit difficult to find space for our 3 big suitcases. It worked, but only just. If your party only has small suitcases or handluggage it would work fine.

Hotel is in a really nice building. Reception is located in a 4th floor, rooms - higher up. Entrance hall with the restaurant and facilities for weddings looks very cosy and beautiful. Our room was clean, quite big if compared with other hotels where we stayed in Japan. Breakfast was luxury, a lot of things to pick from - both local food and western dishes. Free shuttle bus service to the train station was offered. Good WiFi connection.

On the opposite side of the street is some kind of music club. We could hear noise from the event in the club in our room. It was a little bit annoying.

the lobby captivates me because it's DELIGHTFULLY charming . love the chicness of the couches , sofas ,chairs and the elegance of all the chandeliers. my favorite place in this hotel is the LOUNGE that's why we're a regular guests for 3 nights the BEAUTY of the "CATHERDRAL" was beyond words. That moment i realized the reasons why my DAUGHTER wants to get married at THE STRINGS HOTEL 🩶🤍🖤🧡💚

the young staffs. for example they are 6 or 5 staffs or employee at the given place. only two can work properly. why don't you teach them how to talk and greet the guests with a pleasing manners. remember , they're job is to impress whoever enters in the hotel.

Very nice, clean, and modern hotel. We only stayed for the night (arrived late, left early), so I cannot say much. The night staff we met was very sweet and helpful! We slept very well!

There is a beautiful wedding chapel in the same building /on the property. It seems like it belongs to the hotel, but might be under a different management, but I really don’t know. We wanted to see it and asked where we could enter it, as there was no wedding going on. A staff person told us where the entrance was. We were body checked by every staff personnel we passed, we were dressed in shorts, since we are tourists on a road trip, and once we entered, someone came to us and told us that we need to leave immediately. This was not being said in a friendly way! Enjoy the hotel, but don’t expect anyone nice in the wedding venue section of the building.

The staff were cooperative , kind and polite. They were speaking English fluently so no communication issues. The room was big and beds were comfortable. I liked the interior design of the room. There was a bus to take you to/from Nagoya station (only morning time till 11 am as I remember and every 30 min)

It will take time to walk to nearest station. in the morning there will be a bus every 30 min but later you will have to walk around 10 to 15 mins so I cannot consider it as a negative thing, it is manageable.

Lovely front staff who kindly helped us forward our luggage to the next hotel. When I messaged them before hand someone had replied saying they can only do it if the next hotel accepted cash on delivery, but the counter staff was able to process the payment on acceptance of the luggage. It saved us a lot of trouble. There was a gorgeous view out the window down onto the hotel chapel and over at the railway. The double glazed windows ensured the room stayed quiet. The in-room laundry was great and was able to thoroughly dry our clothes with one cycle (although it did take 4 hours). The buffet breakfast was fantastic.

The facilities look like they would have been luxurious in their heyday, but are sadly in need of a deep clean and maintenance. There was a thick layer of mold in the sink drainage.

The place is located quite closed to Nagoya Station and Family Mart, with various restaurants around it. We actually went to the Takumi Teppanyaki at the hotel, which was superb. I love the washing/drying machine provided in my room. It's so quiet, I could run it through the night while I' was asleep. All staff have been very friendly and helpful. They've organised our suitcase to be sent to our next hotel in another city. They even managed to find and keep my earbud that I left in my room after checking out.

No distracting noise at all, our room is on the 7th floor and love the view of the city at night. The room is clean.

The room I booked indicated that the room would accommodate three, only to find out in the final receipt only two can get beddings and have to pay extra for additional beddings. Instead of offering an apology for the confusion, the staff tried in however subtle way that we might not enjoy sleeping cramped in two bedsI told them that I’d give a call f I find it necessary. There was no need.

It’s new, the replenish the amenities and cleanup everyday. It has a beautiful church inside we took some great photos. A Family Mart just across the road. The room is overall clean but there was a hair on my bed when I arrived. The room is spacious for two people but we had three people sharing the room so not enough room for luggages.

Location is ok but not very close to Nagoya station, around 20-25mins walk.

The hotel itself is quite new and so are the rooms and amenities. Aonami line Sasashima-life ( ささしまライブ) station, Familymart and many restaurants are within walking distance. Shuttle service to and from Nagoya station taigoutoori ( 太閤通口) helps a lot. Staffs are really helpful.
