Hotel Angel Grandia Echigo Nakazato

Close to the ski resort and had lots of shuttle bus from the train station to the hotel. They also offered lots of public bath option.

We were check in at 10 in the morning, and the staff forgot to ask us about the breakfast option. Apparently there are 0630 and 0830 two time slot could be choose. After check in, we went directly to the ski resort and spent whole day. When we remembered about the breakfast, it was 1900 at night . We went to the lobby ask about it, and was told there was no room for 0830, we can only choose 0630 if we want to have breakfast. We were not pleasant but still accepted the arrangement. This was the only downside for our staying there.

loved the onsen, baby friendly- has combi seats to seat the baby whilst showering. enjoyed breakfast and especially dinner. children enjoyed the food too. fyi catch the free shuttle from their office. exit the west exit of Echigo yuzawa train station, turn left and walk about 50m. included a photo what the office looks like as you are walking along the road.

sadly very little snow when we were there late mar early April. guess that’s more because of the season than anything else.

overall comfort. everything needed of a resort is there.

the food arrangement at the first floor restaurant. with the one-hour limit, people were at the same places at the same time, creating a congested situation. that ate into the one-hour limit considerably. the second floor food arrangement was much better.

Family friendly great for family of 4-5. Great for beginner to ski. Given a room 1031 with spectacular view

We bought the half board package and stayed for 3 nights. It will be great if there are some changes in the daily varieties of food

The property was nice, the staff all very friendly, nice curtesy bus from the station to hotel each hour which is great. Buffet was good, lots of people in the hot spring, faced the wall wasn’t too bad.

On the slope, best place to stay for skiing beginners ,family,facilities, staff friendly and professional

The hotel room was very comfy, service was great, outdoor onsen was amazing, buffet bf and dinner were good. Very clean and thoughtful they even provide yukata and slipper to wear for onsen. Will come back and stay again for sure :)

Food was great, facilities very family friendly, room was spacious and clean.

There is a weird annoying sound from the heater. The shuttle service is available but doesn't pick up and drop off directly at the station. Wish it would, at least for drop off as walking in the snow is difficult.

It was so clean and the staff are very friendly. Nice place for family and group stays. Also the breakfast and the dinner was awesome. Definitely recommend this place.

dinner menu at the Japanese restaurant is excellent
