The location was ok. 10 min to the train/bus station. 10 min until the grocery store (7/11), there is restaurants around and big day market street, which close around 6pm. But a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The restroom and shower were good. Having a kitchen in the same building was a nice bonus, microwave, kettle, fridge, free tea. The reception was in a bar nearby with a free welcome drink.

There is not much space in the room for luggage. Because during my stay there were 2-3 ppl it was fine, but if the room would be full 8 ppl, there might be discomfort. For me it wasn't a problem, but there were really steep stairs. Light in the room was a bit too dark.

A stylish art-focused hostel just a short walk away from Okayama Station. The rooms were small and basic, as expected, but the facilities were clean and sufficient - all that you would want from a hostel vs. a larger, more private hotel. The downstairs restaurant and bar looked quite nice but we went out to eat so can't comment on the food and drink.

The check-in process took overly long when we really just wanted to be done and rest after a hot day. Rooms are on the 2F at the top of some spiral stairs, which could be difficult for anyone with disabilities or large luggage.

The location is very convenient if you’re arriving at Okayama station. The bar and reception are very cozy and there was a free drink at arrival night

The bed curtains were very loud and there was no space to put luggage. I only had a backpack but ended up needing to keep in on the bed as literally any other space was take by other people’s luggage leaving only a little bit of space to walk between the beds. The kitchen area is nice but also quite small - there were no seats for everyone who wanted to eat/chat in the evening. Other than that, a great stay and would recommend!

Upon entering I was greeted by a nice women after paper work she carried my luggage up to the room she gave me a tour and code it is a safe place I was welcome to a drink which I passed up nice kitchen all the necessities. Showers clean every one is pleasant and I was invited down to their bar which had 2 singers had some nice chats. This was a great experience since I have only started going to them I really enjoyed my stay there

The spiral stair case I felt was a super idea although it was only 1 story up and a small landing to get into the door a bit scarry for a not so old persona pleasant

It's very well located near the JR Okayama Station. The Welcome drink of pineapple juice (my choice) was a nice touch. The kitchen was equipped sufficiently to prepare and cook meals, with a dining area for meeting people. The bed had curtains and power points for charging and a lamp. Though the passageway was cluttered with backpacks (mine was a small one I could keep in my cubicle) I was able to pass through without issue. The toilets and bathrooms were clean and in sufficient numbers. Though the price of this accommodation is reasonable, prices of accommodations in Okayama in general are higher than in other cities I've stayed in Japan (except perhaps Tokyo). Nevertheless, I'd stayed here again the next time I visit Okayama.

Nice to find place, cosy bar at 1F (rooms are at 2F), very friendly staff, clean kitchen and artist artworks are pretty interesting. Not a big place, so very easy to manage and find himself inside (toilets, showers, fridge... etc..)

Walls are very tick. So when you have someone noisy next room, this is quite embarrassing. Fortunately, staff can provide earplugs :-). It is also situated at 1st floor. So handicapped people couldn't use this place.

It was clean! The sheets and surrounding smelt good, and there were specific instructions to put extra sheets in between yourself and the existing beddings.

It’s all good, perhaps if you’re a solo traveller, I don’t recommend checking in too late, as the area (or Okayama in itself) is not as busy as the main cities, so it can be scary walking there at night due to lack of people and lights

Such an amazing hostel and incredible value for money! Very cool restaurant/ bar with the front desk and a free welcome drink, but the bar was actually in a different building to the beds so it wasn’t noisy at night at all. Felt safe with multiple codes for different doors, great kitchen, and private beds with black out curtains. Great location too - it was right by the station, we stayed here to go to Naoshima and on to the Shimanami Kaido the next day. Clean showers and toilets too.

Nothing!

It was a super nice and open place, we can make more friends staying here. the common room and the bar close to the dormitory are very nice and helpful.

It was a bit cramped and too open in some situations. The stairs were a bit challenging but fun, hehe. the location of the house is a bit far from the receptionist, which is a bit surprising.

Well located to get to the central station and the nightlife area in the vicinity. Loved the design of the place, mix of surfer lodge and industrial cafe/record store atmosphere. Very helpful and understanding staff. Simple and practical rooms. Do get the complementary sake drink.

Though practically located, you need to circle around the central station if you come from the south, which can be tricky as there are limited pedestrian crossings.
