Affordable lodging for a solo traveller that's very near a train station. Bonus points that Shin-imamiya is linked directly to KIX, and there's a mega donki near it. Loved the vibe of the place despite it being old.

Just the toilet cleanliness. I don't fully blame the staff as I saw them clean it very well. More on the people staying, I think. To staff, maybe have a note in the toilet that says people can flush as much as they want if it means there's no feces left behind. The bathroom once had lots of hair from the previous user. Please put up a note (if possible) to not leave hair on the walls or shampoo/conditioner bottles. Also I know the lodging is very affordable but a small table per room might help a bit, not just the closet.

Love that I have my little privacy with such affordable price as Japan can be quite expensive for accomodation. I took the normal room without A/C during winter (jan 11-jan25) at the beginning it was cold believe due to the window was open before my stay. But thanks to the feet heater in the room it helps me as someone who quite ok with cold air. For those not maybe better take one with A/C(heater). Staff were friendly and helpful they will great u everytime u go out and in. Help me with my luggage together cuz I stay at level 3. Wifi strong no issue at all. Everything is near. Nearest station is Dobutsuen mae (midosuji line) but if you from airport the nearest would be Shin Imamiya east exit.

The wall quite thin and sometimes people can be a little noisy. For light sleeper better wear earplug or headphones like me with noise cancellation. It helps a lot!

You have a room for yourself. It's a rather social place so you're likely to meet people in the social room. Clean bathrooms. Cheap laundry options. Usable kitchen with fridge. TV with consoles. I left my luggage before and after my stay and it wasn't a problem. Nice staff. Lots of people staying here for very long. Most of them, however, are foreigners. Free coffee and tea in the mornings until 11 am.

Room had no AC. I don't mind but it also meant that you'd need to open your door and use the fan to get the hot air out and the cold air in from the corridor before going to bed. Common areas not particularly clean. There's not that much going on in the neighborhood. Water dispenser just tastes like tap water to me, I don't think it was filtered.

Staff is so kind and reliable... You're feeling warmly welcomed. 😁😁😁 All the common areas are highly coloured and offer good vibes... Shared area is good place to meet people. Amenities are clean. Without the small things below, it would have been perfect 👌🏻

Bedroom is a bit small. The main thing about that is that walls are tiny so you can hear neighbours and there is space between the door of the room and its frame, so you hear people going through the corridor. Also corridor is heaten but rooms are not and winter wind comes through the window... Also, there is a crazy cat in the street meowing all night and day but that's not the fault of the hotel of course... 😵‍💫 Having said that, it's still a good place to stay !

The location is amazing! And on top of that a private room at a cheap price! Laundry machine, friendly personnel, enough showers and bathrooms. Definitely recommendable for staying long term and low cost...

The common room and kitchen was not so clean and filled with things from people who stay there long term. The door of the room I stayed in had cracks on the sides and cold wind was coming in the room. Some people using the shared bathrooms during my stay were really dirty! The noise from the neighboring rooms can be heard if they are not quiet!

I really liked the atmosphere, the connectivity of the workers and travelers, and the private rooms. The location is very good! Easy to walk from, or take the subway right out front of the hotel. Food was everywhere within 5 minute walks, so finding breakfast, or a fast dinner was very easy.

It was hot a few nights, I didn't request a fan and that's my fault, but a few minutes with the door open and my room was cool again. The walls were very thin, but that's common in Japan, my last night I had a neighbor who kept kicking the wall, and it kept me up.

50m away from shin immamiya station. Renovated hotel. New and clean bathroom and toilet. Big common place for meeting. Hot water/drinking water provided. Big space room. I stay at non air condition for one night in beginning of December. I just slightly open the window and feel chill for the entire night. But probably not recommended for summer without air condition. Staff speak good English and friendly. 100yen for laundry and 100 yen for dryer. In room croc shoe provided.

No towel but rental service. No lift/elevator, it will be trouble for big luggage. No in-house hot spring/onsen. No fridge inside the room. No kitchen.

Twin room was the perfect size for a couple and the location was excellent! Staff were lovely and very helpful. You’re a two minute walk away from a local metro station and about four minutes away from a JR station, so it’s super easy to get to with suitcases etc either from Osaka station or Kansai airport. Literally everything you need is within walking distance!

If you’re really tall the blanket won’t cover your feet, but there’s a heater in the room so you will be ok. (Seems to be pretty standard in Japan if over 6’2 though!)

You get your own room for the same price as a dormitory anywhere else! Don't let the no-aircon thing trouble you, they have a single air con in the hallways that will cool your room if you open your door at night and use the fan. I will definitely stay here again. They have monthly rates for long term residents. Definitely a good social scene. Just go to the living room any time and you'll meet other people

The bed linen was clean however the rest of the room was a bit crusty, could do with a bit of a wipe down. The seats and cushions in the living room really could do with replacing

I liked this place, I ended up extending my stay twice. Location wise it is only a couple of stops away on the metro to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. It has a decent common area which offers an opportunity to meet people and socialise. I would say that it is the closest hostel I found in Japan to having international hostel standards. The laundry is super cheap, staff are nice, and having a private room for a cheap price is awesome.

It wasn't always the cleanest, and I recommend bringing ear plugs as there's many room's and people and Japan's buildings seem to have the thinnest walls! Also it has long term renters. This doesn't normally bother me but when the same people are always sitting in the common area watching Japanese game shows all day on the TV it changes the vibe.
