Less busy part of Shinjuku but also conveniently near (walking and/or 1 train station away) from the busy areas of Shinjuku.

If you are a light sleeper, you would be bothered by the ambulance and fire trucks passing by at night. Our family isn’t so this is okay for us.

Next to the station Higashi-Shinjuku (at more or less 5m). At 15min by foot to Shinjuku Station & Shin-Ōkubo. There is also a Don Quijote at 5min. The Lawson is at the corner and in 2/3min by foot 3 others combini. Concerning the cleaning, you can choose by using 3 cards: when and what to do (just changing the bedsheets/towels and robe, cleaning the room with bed sheets and towels, or not disturbing you...). After each passage, They left 2 water bottles and 2 sticks of matcha. In all, there are 4 washing machines, 4 tumble dryers, 2 ice makers, and 8 vending machines.

The unstable WI-FI...Horrible

The location is quite convenient, within walking distance of subway stations and bus stops, but in a quiet area. The staff was kind and there's always someone available, day or night. In the hotel, there are 4 laundry machines and 4 dryers, as well as a vending machine and ice machine. The room is equipped with a fridge, kettle, aircon, TV, hair dryer. I couldn't hear any noise from other rooms or the corridor, so I'm assuming the rooms are soundproof. The pillows looked really uncomfortable at first but are actually quite comfy. The bed is as well. I slept really well during my stay. Every day the cleaning staff make the bed, change the towels/robes/slippers and provide a free bottle of water per person. You can also decide to skip the cleaning if you're planning on sleeping in, or request for the bed sheets to be changed.

If you're planning on staying for a week/10 days and don't have a big suitcase, the room size is fine, but it is indeed really small, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're carrying a lot of stuff or staying for a longer period of time. The bathroom is really small as well and gives weird 'airplane bathroom' vibes. The flushing noise of the toilet is really loud and quite scary at first, but you get used to it. There are not that many restaurants to eat around the hotel.

Very good choice of a hotel in Tokyo! The location was perfect! Just right next to the hotel there is an entrance to the metro station. Opposite the hotel there is a McDonald's and on the ground floor there is a lovely coffee shop. Next to the hotel there is a convenient store and just 2 minutes away a 7eleven store. Bus stop is also very near. The main Shinjuku station is 15 minutes by foot but you can of course take the metro. The famous Shinjuku streets are also 15 minutes away by foot. The rooms are small, but anyway all the rooms in Tokyo are small. Very clean, very well equipped and comfortable bed.

Very close to transit links making it a breeze to go around Tokyo. It was also quiet, aside from the fact if you opened your window but that’s why I used AC.

The pillows sometimes weren’t the comfiest but again for a budget hotel, it was a nice play to come and sleep after a day out. A word of warning for couple travellers; the rooms are small, not adapted to westerners. The room I had was big enough for me alone and I feel if that one more person was with me it would’ve been a squeeze.

We had a wonderful stay. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, great value for money and walking distance to the metro and main Shinjuku station. Be aware that the rooms are small - as they are in many Tokyo hotels - we knew this would be the case from the description when we booked the room and for our 3-night stay this was totally fine as we were just there to sleep and were out all day exploring. If you intend to stay for a longer time, want to spend lots of time in your room, and have lots of baggage you should be prepared to keep your stuff tidy or book bigger areas (we are a couple with 2 large suitcases; we had a 12m2 room). One of us is 6’2 and fit comfortably on the double bed. Thanks for having us. We’ll definitely stay again!

No issues.

The room has everything necessarily in it despite it's small size. Location is convenient with convenience stores just right beside. There is also a 711 across the road. Train station is just beside too. There's a nice kebab food truck outside the hotel at night. Super friendly, helpful and accommodating staffs! Awesome stay and will definitely be back again.

The main control air-conditioner only has hot air for this cold season, so if the room is too warm you'll have to open the window for the cold air to come in. Could be an issue for light sleepers as the noise from the road will be loud. This seems the norm as another hotel we stayed in also works the same. Thankfully they provided extra pillows when i requested. Help to block out the noise by having pillow over my head.

Location was fantastic, very central with nearby transport links - there was a subway station right next to it. Complimentary bottles of water given daily in the room. Very comfy bed.

Very small rooms, was supremely cramped and had no storage/cupboard for clothes or luggage. The bathroom was tiny and showering was an effort because of the size. The staff were unable to book a large taxi in advance to the airport and suggested we hail one on the street - this was too risky as we didn't want to miss our flight so we opted for the express train to the airport which actually worked out better in the end as it was much cheaper than a taxi would've been.

It’s such a gem in the heart of Shinjuku (it takes 8-9mins to walk to main Shinjuku station). Location was perfect. Rooms are small (just like in all hotels in Tokyo) but the facilities were great. We changed rooms as the first one smelled a bit like smoke but the staff was very accommodating. Massive Don Quijote nearby and plenty of 7/11 and Family Marts. Room was cleaned on request, every day, there’s laundry and vending machines for drinks, and they hold your luggage after checkout if you have a later flight. Overall great experience!

nothing to complain about

Cold AirCon. Steps away from E & M Tokyo Metro lines (well, up a couple flights of stairs from the station). 2+ 7-11's, 1 McDonald's and a Lawsons (Amazon Japan pickup location) around the corner, all with with 100 metres. A nice place with fast elevators and great room service (I was on the 11th floor). 15 minute walk from upscale mall (through a small, nice sidewalk past the Subway (restaurant). A Don Quixote and Ramen place 18 minute walk.

Had to fix the toilet myself as it would stay on after flushed.
