You can't beat the location of this hotel: it gives excellent access to public train and metro transportation (the Shimbashi Station, which is three stops away from Tokyo Station, is literary right downstairs); it also has a decent Family Mart and a couple of shops nearby. Breakfast, which is exclusively western/international cuisine during the week (they only offer the Japanese option on the weekend and in a different restaurant of the hotel), is adequate although they do have good coffee machines. We stayed three nights there: the first night in an Economy Double and the last two nights in a Standard Twin. I will strongly discourage the Economy Double for couples as the bed is too small for 2 persons.

The place lacks character and a sense of "community". One possible reason may due to the lack of an adequate lounge or public resting area with sofas and armchairs. The reception floor gives an impression of a train or bus station .

Well located, right beside the Shiodome / Shimbashi conglomeration of train lines, so easy to hop on your preferred train line. plus, you can walk under the shade of the train lines overhead. (an advantage for the sunny summer days). well connected to the Asakusa Line, which you need to get to / from either Haneda or Narita. The room felt dated, but was very spacious. Our kids could run around the room. On our first night, we had a problem with no cold water from the shower. They were able to address it and repair it promptly, and everything went smoothly after that.

Breakfast is a bit of a letdown, but similar to most hotels in Japan, the selections do not change. So be bored to death by the same food every day if you are staying here for at least 5 nights (stayed here for 4 nights). Also, not much restaurants on this side of Shimbashi, but you can cross past the main JR station to the other side, where most of the happenings and food are (there's an Ichi-ran branch tucked away nearby).

I cannot say enough good things about the Royal Park Hotel. Location, location, location! It's in the perfect spot to access Shimbashi Stations which is the oyster to your Tokyo world. :) The room was very spacious & well appointed. And they provide lovely pajamas for use. I purchased the rate that included breakfast & it was very good, efficiently run, & worth knowing it was available if I woke up hungry. The gym is small but has enough equipment to get a work out in while traveling. There is a convenience store right outside the lower level which was amazing to have - great coffee, snacks, alcohol, food, & ATM. I think I went there everyday. The staff was always very friendly & helpful. They even have a luggage scale to confirm weight before leaving for the airport.

Great location and nice room. I paid extra for a view of the tower and on my last morning saw Mount Fuji as well. You would not get anything of comparable location and quality in London for the same price.

We were a family of 6 traveling with 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We requested two rooms with 3 beds each. When we walked into our rooms we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was (especially for Tokyo!) and that the 3 beds were generous-sized and comfortable. We also loved the area, about 15 minutes walk to Tsukiji Market or 10 minutes to the Shimbashi area. It only took us 3 minutes to walk to the Shimbashi station to take the metro to Asakusa (the Asakusa line is literally right there). We also loved that the hotel provides pajamas.

Location is the best. Had a really nice view of the Tokyo Tower and easily accessible via Shimbashi Station. You can reach most of the touristy destinations without changing the metro line.

Not much.

This is out 3rd time we've stayed at this hotel. The beds are comfy, the rooms are very modern. I really like the location, it's a short walk to the Shiodome subway station, or to Shimbashi Station with both JR and all of the subway lines. The blinds did a good job of keeping the sun out. We were staying in a premium floor room, and I liked the dessert plate and the champagne based free drink.

We're vegetarians and the breakfast was disappointing. It's possible Chaya (which is vegan) would have been better but the hours were sort of wonky. The egg dishes came with bacon automatically and the buffet felt very picked over and not replenished as often as some other places. The coffee was mediocre. I would stay here again, but not with a meal plan.

Great location Clean Good breakfast Nice view

It is really unnecessary to wait at breakfast entrance and line up just to have someone accompanying you to a table. Whatever is the reason, it is absolutely inefficient and absolutely no value add, except wasting clients time in the morning.

Location is superb, just a couple minutes from Shimbashi Station, 2 stops from Tokyo Station on the JR lines. It’s actually positioned as a higher end business hotel. Another positive is that it is located on the upper floors of the Shiseido building so you’ll have a decent view from your room. Rooms are comfortable and sized closer to Western standards. We had a room with a view to the JR Shimbashi station and to watch the trains at night was a treat. Breakfast is decent with actually 3 choices of restaurants to go to (not all of them are open at the same time however), but the main restaurant didn’t have too much variety. Staff is polite and helpful with your requests and can handle English well if you have trouble with Japanese.

Surprisingly none!

Great location, very clean room. Daily room cleaning is very good.

The breakfast is a joke. The guests are told the breakfast is from 7:30-10:30. But when we arrive at 9:55, we were told that we only have 5minutes to get our food, and when it was 10:10, there was basically nothing left. What is the point of telling your guest that the breakfast ends at 10:30 while it is already out of food at 10:10? And there is very limited choice of food, the quality is below average. Comparing with its room and other services, the breakfast is such a disappointment.
