Via Inn Shinjuku was the perfect place for visiting Tokyo, well situated outside of the main chaos of Shinjuku, incredibly close to the Shinjuku-Sanchome subway line that connected us to so many incredible areas of the city. The hotel itself was very clean and modern, rooms were small (as expected) but contained everything we needed. Complimentary coffee and tea helped us start every morning, we didnt get to try the breakfast (offered both Japanese and Western style buffet), but it was affordable and open quite early. The staff was super welcoming and helpful, free umbrellas to tour around were a perk, will certainly reccomend and stay again!

The stay met all of our expectations. The room was a little bit small compared to the pricing, but that's to be expected with accommodation prices across Tokyo.

Staff was friendly, overall place was clean and tidy. Room had a great view (corner, 12th floor). Location near Shinjuku San-Chome station, able to access most places with couple of transfers max. In a quiet corner of Shinjuku, just minutes walk from Shinjuku station. Simple business hotel, affordable and decent for the price and location.

Amenities are a bit lacking. Toothbrush, soap, etc were provided, but some basic ammenities such as razers come at a fee.

• very clean, good amenities • convenient check in/check out • location is good, close to shinjuku sanchome station

• basically they clean your room every day. there's a policy where they have to clean your room after three nights. however, if you put the "no clean up today" shield on your door, it means nothing. even if it hasn't been three nights yet, the reception will call you every morning asking when they come clean up your room etc. extremly persistent and very annoying when you just want to sleep. when telling them they just cleaned the room yesterday the receptionist just goes like "oh, okay. what time can we clean tomorrow." had the same policy in my other hotel too, but they were never this pushy or would call in the morning. • TV was flickering, couldn't rly use it

I stayed here for 6 nights and I can say that this hotel was way better than I expected. The room is comfortable for 1 person but it can be a little challenging for 2 people. Hotel rooms in Japan are known to be quite small but this one was just enough for myself and a large suitcase. The cleanliness was absolutely fantastic, and the staff super friendly and helpful. The location was on a quiet but yet convenient place in Shinjuku area. Overall I had a great stay and I’d definitely stay here again.

The breakfast didn’t have many western options and the food available like the scrambled eggs, bacon etc were usually cold.

Location is good as it was located near Shinjuku Sanchome Station (where Isetan is) and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. There are also many convenience stores around. The hotel is close to, but not in Kabukicho if you are a tourist looking to stay in a more peaceful area of Shinjuku. Basic amenities in the room were also provided and housekeeping did a good job at maintaining the cleanliness of the room and hotel. The beds are also quite comfortable.

Nothing as our stay was pleasant. Rooms are a little small for 2 luggages but that is typical of a room in Tokyo. We were able to hang our clothes and air them inside the room, but perhaps more spaces to hang clothes would be good too.

I love how friendly the hotel staff are and how clean and calm the rooms and facilities are. The breakfast is excellent. I found the quantity of food just right for a good start to my day, especially since there is a half-buffet to complement the Japanese- and Western-style breakfasts that they serve. In terms of transportation, the hotel is very conveniently located near convenience stores, two grocery stores, and several subway lines. It is an easy 15-minute walk to the JR Shinjuku station and the Shinjuku highway bus station (where you can catch a limousine bus to Haneda or Narita airports). If it is raining or it is very hot, you can do 99% of the walk underground because Shinjuku Sanchome Station connects to the JR station.

Everything was great.

Space, cleanliness and comfort. Staff initially wasnt very descriptive how to reach the hotel from shinjuku station, was just generally told the east exit. Knowing Shinjuku it has over 20 exits. At least they were communicative in confirming to accomodate to receive my forwarded luggage one day in advance. Hotels in Japan are generally small but their double bedroom was spacious of its own. If you dont opt your room to be cleaned they will give you a comfort pack with new towels etc. Also, they were kind enough to offer my daughter a kids comfort pack. It is close to starbucks, convenience stores and Laundry.

For additional $30 for 2-3 days i would opt to stay in a hotel NEXT to a train station. The closest station of this hotel is Shinjuku - Sanchome NOT Shinjuku - It is 3mins walk from exit E1 with elevator. However take note that, E1 is around 400-500 meters away from the main platforms. If you are exiting from Shinjuku closest that has an elevator is C6 and around 8mins walk to hotel. C6 is around 5 mins walk from the main platform if you are not looking for elevator. It is a challenge if this is your hotel and commuting back to the airport as you would have to drag your luggages in the main street. If you are a backpacker, its considerable. If you are taking a taxi from hotel and need an elevator, get off at Lumine EST mall entrance there is an escalator or elevator to JR east platform.

Via Inn Shinjuku is a good base for easy access to Shinjuku station, which is only a fifteen minutes walk away. The room is small, no frills, but it is very clean and has all you need. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The young gentlemen that greeted me when I arrived was kind enough to explain to me with clarity what the most convenient way was to reach the part of the station that I was looking for: not an easy task, when it comes to Shinjuku station! I was extremely grateful for his help.

The breakfast is nothing to write home about and the view from the bedroom window was a bit sad.

The location is great, very close to bustling Shinjuku but already in a quiet valley. Lot of restaurants supermarkets around. 15 min walk to Shinjuku station - super convenient for travel to other destinations in Japan. Subway station around 7 min walk. Great japanese breakfast (the western one not as good, so just eat Japanese :)). Comfortable room. We booked early(5 months ahead of our trip) and got great value! Recommend 100%

The paper cups for coffee for breakfast - not sure why regular cups are not provided as they have glasses for water and juice. Also the laundry room only has instructions in Japanese but google translate helps :)
