Great location close to downtown Truckee. Breakfast was really good with attendants who were on it and made sure to keep the breakfast area clean and items restocked. Small gym with a Peloton, treadmill, elliptical and dumbbells (5-50 lbs).

Since the location is off a busy road, could be a wait to make the uncontrolled left turn out of the hotel (which takes you toward downtown Truckee). Turn right outside the hotel takes you toward Lake Tahoe - be sure to check traffic/roadwork conditions because there could be a lot of traffic.

Everything about the Hampton Inn exceeded my expectations. It was perfectly located - right down the street! - for skiing at Northstar. We were two friends and we each had lots of space. The room was spacious, the fridge was big with a freezer, the heat worked well (It was winter!), there were outlets for our devices and our blenders. The shower was nice and hot, and all the things we needed in the bathroom - dryer, towels, were laid out nicely. Most of all, the staff at the front desk were always friendly and welcoming, and gave us whatever we needed - advice, water bottles, suitcase storage - with a smile. The breakfast was the most substantial ever to get fueled for the slopes - substantial eggs - omelettes or scrambled, meat like sausage or bacon, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, all of which I ate, and lots of pastries i didn't. There was an outdoor hot-tub on outside, that we didn't have time to try, but others said it was comfortably hot even on the coldest night, though quite chlorine-y. Still - a hot tub for post skiing!

There was literally nothing I did not like. A few of the electrical plugs did not work but there were so many it did not matter, partly because I did bring extension cords and USB chargers to extend them. The tea maker broke the last hour there, but we got the hot water from the breakfast place. All of this was reported and they said they would fix.

Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. Room and bathroom are clean with toiletry. 24hrs coffee and tea in lobby. Breakfast was great with varieties. Great location.

The mattress is a bit squeaky, the mini fridge made sudden tidy noise once in a while, which I kept hearing it all night.

We liked the size, comfort and ambience of the room and bathroom. The breakfast that was included was tasty. The hotel is nicely located on 267 not far from downtown, Northstar Ski Resort and numerous good restaurants. The younger man who helped us with our heater was friendly and helpful.

Our room was starting to show some signs of wear and tear. The heating system didn't work efficiently.

Unlike other Hamptons Coffee was not available during the day and evenings. Also the rooms are not freshened up each day but only every four days of your stay. When asked both of these disappointments were a result of Covid.

My family is very impressed with how clean this hotel is. They serve full breakfast in the morning, which is a bonus since other hotels we stayed in only offered prepacked breakfast due to covid. The staff is amiable and accommodating—great location and near to stores.

The only negative comment I have is the stain in the bed’s inner decorative topper which looked like blood. Housekeeping replaced it right away as soon as I called the front desk. Other than this, I don't have any other complaints. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit the north lake Tahoe.

The location is really nice. 5min walk to the grocery store. Right behind the gas station but if you drive 10min on I-80 E, you can save some $$$

Nothing really.

Breakfast was fine. Little omelets and sausage on Sunday better than the potatoes & bacon Saturday morning.

No complaints although only 1 elevator could be a problem.

location was great, near Northstar resort. It was quiet, comfortable bed and pillows.
