Normally I hate chain hotels, but this one was a surprise and a nice one. Comfy bed, wonderful shower, super clean, excellent staff who are professional and helpful, and joy of joys: there's a bar that also serves tasty, simple food. DH said the pizza was perfectly nice and my chicken curry (a butter chicken though they called it something else) was also very good, serviced with rice, naan and raita. It made it very social and we didn't have to go out. Position is excellent a short stroll into central Windsor and the castle, and easy to find from the motorway. Oh and the breakfast was better than any other HIE we've been to. For a start the sausages weren't over cooked and entombed in hard casing! Would recommend if like us you want a convenient hotel close to the town, with parking. We use HIE when we can't find anything else in our budget. This made us rethink that and will consider HIE more often in future.

There's a renovation underway. The builders were pleasant and determined not to be intrusive, but they do use the one and only lift, so you can wait a bit during their working hours. NOTE: there was no noise associated with the reno. If you need to park, check with them if there is likely to be space as the car park seemed a bit small for the size of the hotel. Not a problem when we were there though.

The room was spacious, heating worked well, bathroom was nice and clean, LOVED the breakfast, especially the yogurt with fruits, it was quiet, staff were really friendly

When I arrived and took a shower there was a fire alarm test that they could have mentioned during check in; humidity caused mold stains on the curtains, they could get some new curtains; It's not the hotel's fault but I had issues getting there as there was no free WiFi at the train station and no maps, maybe the hotel has the power to improve that situation with the mayor or something like that

Great location, loved the bar and courtyard, staff were very helpful, breakfast was good. We only expected a continental, so we were happy to see a full English buffet. Would stay again as long as the price is reasonable.

If I were to be picky, the landing areas were only hoovered in the centre, not along the edges or outside the doors. Our shower could have done with a new seal and silicone. We were only given 2 tea bags a day and no white sugar. The kettle was clean. However, the tea was murkey. We were worried about the planes but didn't have a problem. We were also concerned as upon approach to our room, the was an AWFUL stench of b.o on the landing coming from a nearby cleaner. Luckily, he hadn't cleaned our room, so all was fine once we were in there. We'd have very much complained otherwise.

Excellent location to shops and castle. On site parking. Bar with food served and pleasant areas inside and out to chill in the evening and have a drink. Staff excellent - welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. Room - clean and sufficient for our stay. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice.

The option of gluten free bread, for toast at breakfast would have been nice. Also, whilst appreciating they don't offer a proper restaurant (quite rightly), the menu they do offer is a also a bit lacking in this area. But it's certainly not a deal breaker and when we visit Windsor again next year, we'll definitely be booking at this hotel again.

Very well presented hotel with modern facilities. Car parking available on-site was a big bonus. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Check in was very poor. 2pm check in was advertised. Arrived at 1.30pm hoping to get in a little earlier as I had a meeting at 3pm that I had to travel to. Unable to check in early as room was not ready. Reception staff told me to take a seat and they would call me as soon as the room was ready. I sat in the garden area. At 2pm I went back into reception and there was a queue of 8 people in front of me. I managed to book in around 2.20pm. This left me rushing around and the taxi I had booked had to wait for me.

Comfortable stay with friendly and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was lovely with a good variety of hot food, cereal, fruit, and yoghurt. It was great to have a car park at a cost per night and the location of the hotel was a ten minute walk to the train station, which took us into London. Windsor castle and the town centre was about a 15 minute walk. The reception staff helped us with directions and even printed a map to help us.

Nothing really, but it would be nice to have complementary car parking included in the price.

Amazing service. Exceptional customer care. Staff were lovely. Extra pillow , no problem. Minor problem with our room sorted in record time. Mentionable staff Trevor wonderfull very caring , as I was unwell during my stay. Saban is exceptional! He sorted our room problem in record time. Dimitrie, who greeted us on arrival, was undeterred by our questions. Told us everything we needed to know. All in all, the staff were amazing, even the cleaning staff were cheery. We will stay again.

Stayed at the hotel on our way back from Gatwick airport. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and shower. Breakfast was ok. Location of the hotel is excellent only a short walk from Windsor's historical centre . We were very pleased to be able to leave our car at the hotels car park while we spent the morning exploring Windsor having paid for overnight parking. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was excellent - walking distance (30 minutes) to Windsor Castle, the Royal Windsor Horse Show, nice pedestrianised shopping area, the river with lovely Thames walks and restaurants. Really easy and convenient parking in hotel basement - you pay for convenience £13 pd - but good if you’re a first-timer as I was. Really friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Room was as expected for the price in this area - pretty functional, but cleaned daily, comfortable, working heating/air con, good shower, good lighting, no noise …. (maybe ask for or grab more variety of teabags from breakfast …). They recommended and booked taxis for me from a great local taxi company - speedy and efficient every time. No complaints and would stay again for the convenience.

No complaints at all. For the location and convenience it was what I expected. Clean, comfortable, efficient - Not much atmosphere downstairs, but reception staff very friendly. Slightly awkward that you have to ask them to open the doors to access the quite nice outside seating area with tables, etc (NO smoking) - even on a nice evening/day. They do it happily but was just aware it took up their time.

Check in was fast and easy, staff were very helpful. Great to have underground car parking at this hotel. The room was plenty big enough and very clean. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the shower had great pressure. I liked the complimentary cucumber water on the bar.

The cold drinks at breakfast were running low which took a little time to be refilled, but not massive problem really.
