Nice room facing the Guildhall and with partial view of Windsor castle. Very clean, nice size and the bed was comfortable, although a little high. Having complementary drinks in the fridge was a nice bonus. Breakfast buffet was amazing and there was the option of requesting cooked eggs of your choice. Location was perfect with lots of shops, and restaurants nearby. All staff were very polite and professional and Chloe on reception was very friendly and helpful. Thank you to the Castle Hotel for making our stay a memorable one. Highly recommend.

The only downside to this room was that it had a connecting door which had a large gap underneath and we could see next doors light, plus it was not soundproof and unfortunately we could hear everything.

Extremely comfortable room - bed was amazing! The supplied amenities are very high quality essential oil based and smell divine! The breakfast was exceptional with many choices from the buffet as well as items cooked on request. We had Eggs Benedict and it was very tasty with eggs cooked perfectly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Loved sitting at the tables outside and watching the changing of the guard march by. The location is perfect for exploring Windsor with the Castle across the road and a short walk from The Long Walk. Very close to all the lovely shops and great local pubs. The overall presentation of the hotel is stunningly pretty and authentic. 20 minute taxi to Heathrow and great quiet and peaceful option for departure from Heathrow rather than central London.

Staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious & varied in many choices. Location was amazing, so close we almost on most occasions came back just for toilet as it was so close to castle & town.

Hotel carpet was a little bit dirty. Air con vent needed a good clean. Bathroom door wouldn't shut & after reporting this it still wasn't fixed when told it would be. Unable to open front windows. Fire alarm went off at about 9.30pm causing an awful amount of distress to my children & older guests. No direction from staff or head count was taken to account for everyone & no explanation was given.

Staff was great, the location was fantastic, the hotel was beautiful and our room was spacious and we enjoyed the room space and the comfort of the bed, on top of this the bathroom was lovely. We wish we had been in the main building because we had to climb a million stairs with our luggage on the way out. Although the very kind staff member helped us with our heavy luggage when we first arrived, we didn't want to bother him when we were leaving but he still insisted on helping us out the door which was sweet of him. Also we had Afternoon Tea and that was a great experience. After shopping one Saturday we came back and drank the refreshing lemon water up in the library/resting area. I plan on coming back one day with my husband. It was a GREAT experience. Right after we left Windsor we went to London to a very posh hotel in a posh area and they didn't even offer 1/4 of what your facility offered. We were comparing the two hotels every day and yours was the best on all levels.

All the stairs to get out of the reception area and over to our hotel room and up those stairs...would've loved a lift. When I booked our room it said on the website there was a lift and I didn't realize it wouldn't be in our wing. Next time I'll doublecheck that.

The location is ideal for sightseeing, walking to restaurants, walking to the centres of attraction and nearby shops. The staff and service levels in the hotel are excellent the response for taking care of any other requests which you might require was always positive and done with great care and attention. The restaurant and food in general served within the hotel is of a high quality, we enjoyed dining there on many occasions. The hotel is boutique and has several zones which means that everyone can find a space in which they feel more comfortable to relax and enjoy.

We found the restocking of complementary tea, bottled water and biscuits within the rooms hit and miss over our stay. Although when adhoc requests were made to the staff for replenishment of these items then we found that these were made available straight away. If this was done without asking then this would have made the stay all the more convenient.

Clean and welcoming, great breakfast. Perfect location to visit Windsor Castle and the river, lots of independent restaurants and shops plus usual high street eateries and shops.

Several inconsistencies with the rooms bearing in mind we had three superior rooms between 5 of us for a 2 night stay. Issues were brought to the attention of Reception staff twice, once on first afternoon which was rectified immediately and then a list provided for all 3 rooms on our second evening at 18.30 before dinner, these were ignored which was disappointing. Guessing new house keeping staff, if so, rooms should have been checked by experienced staff before guests arrived on day one and two! Great variety at breakfast, it was delicious, enjoyed by all on both mornings albeit a little chaotic at times, assume this was due to new waiting staff.

This is an excellent hotel, clean comfortable and so near the Castle, a bonus! Car parking is a little on the expensive side but very convenient. They upgraded our room to the Junior Suite (as the Superior room we booked) - had scaffolding outside for the refurbishment of the front of the building and would be blocking any view. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning works perfectly as does turning up the heating if required. A large bathroom and shower was available ensuite. The breakfast was delicious and the BEST eggs benedict I have tasted anywhere on our travels :) Staff were all very courteous, professional and friendly throughout the hotel. It was perfect and we had an enjoyable stay here, would recommend the hotel and stay again.

Nothing really, perhaps to be very picky might suggest a 'pop of colour' (some colourful cushions) in the room would improve the rather dull, slightly drab colourways used. This is very minor and not really a complaint.

The location was great the breakfast could have been a bit warmer no fried eggs you had to ask for them by the time they arrived the rest of the breakfast was cold . Our room was a bit small but then we didn’t spend much time there .

The attitude of some of the staff could have been better. I was told on checking out that I owed £110. When I asked for what as I hadn’t had any extras and wanted know what it was for ,then they said sorry it was a mistake but they weren’t very apologetic.

The location is suburb, you are opposite Windsor Castle, a stone throw away from the high street and a short stroll to the river. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the city and you can easily walk everywhere. There is parking right outside the hotel if you have a car you need to park. You pay a day rate so can come and go as much as you like. Usually hotel restaurants are very average but the Leaf is beautifully decorated (reminds me of The Ivy) and it is a lovely place for a drink or dinner.

The hotel is beautiful but the rooms are very "business chic". I wish they had had a bit more character to match the lobby / overall English castle charm. However they were very clean, neat and well maintained so can't really complain otherwise!

We visited to go to a play the Theatre Royal, which was excellent, and we enjoyed our overnight stay at the Castle Hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful at all times. We received a free upgrade and the room was great with a comfortable bed and the easiest shower to use of any hotel either of us have stayed in! We will be back.

Just a small note regarding the room: there were two fairly large brown stains on the carpet by the dresser and the window sills hadn’t been cleaned properly. We stayed in room 106.
