The overall standard of AC Hotel Kuantan is not inferior to hotels in big cities. The counter receptionists had good attitudes, especially Ms. Lynn. She was professional and friendly. She happened to be the one handling check-in and check-out. When checking out, she remembered that I had booked 3 rooms. I originally booked 2 deluxe king rooms and 1 premium king room with sofa bed on the booking.com website, but the counter directly upgraded the 3 rooms to the more expensive premium king room with sofa bed at no additional cost. They also helped arrange 3 rooms side by side so that we could take care of each other. Even the housekeeping staff i met at the corridor was also very polite and friendly. The hotel should be newly renovated and the whole hotel is very new. The room is very spacious, very clean and comfortable, and has large windows that allow outside light to shine into the room. The room has sufficient equipment, a safe, ironing board and iron, slippers, etc. The king-size bed is huge, and the pillows, quilts, and mattresses are clean and comfortable. The toilet cubicles are also very good. I like the bath products prepared by the hotel, which are scented with fruits and plants. The breakfast options are also good, with Chinese, Western, and local food. I would highly recommend AC Hotel to everyone. After staying in the AC Hotel by Marriott, I decided to join their Marriott Bonvey membership programme 😀

Hotel breakfast is a bit pricey.

I love the fact the hotel room was not carpeted means its clean and I can let my son freely crawl around the room. Love the fresh newly smell interior. Though we get a 2 single bed room with a bedside long sofa the room is still spacious. Together with breakfast I bet its the best offer for a 5 star hotel in Kuantan. A very good welcome by the hotel staff as well 👍🏻. Will definitely come back to stay in AC Hotel by Marriot whenever we are in town.

Well refurnished hotel with good location. Near to everything but with less busy surroundings. Bed is comfy and breakfast is lovely. The room has really good scent as well. Car park is free after validation for hotel guests.

Will need a car/transport to move around easier, not really ideal for walking due to the road condition and hot weather. Staffs are overall friendly, except one male receptionist avoided eye contact when I approached him at the counter, another lady from another counter answered my question instead. Furnitures in room are heavily scratched and can easily hear sounds from other rooms n corridors.

we like almost everything. room, comfy beds, extra couch which can turn to single bed for my kid, excellent buffet breakfast spread.roti canai made ready to u upon request and its so tasty. they even have two coffee machines to avoid crowded, so thoughtful! they hv small pool but felt some kind of like heated pool, very nice.(come on weekdays if u want to avoid crowd for ur kids). the hotel is very near to tanjung lumpur and town.

wifi is a bit on the downside. but we didnt ask for any problem as it is ok for us on using own data. we are on a vacay anyway!

The room is excellent as there is an additional sofa bed for my unplanned stay for my daughter. Breakfast is superb, with a sufficient spread of food choices. I stayed at the breakfast area until noon to do some work, the staff allowed it and was very understanding. The coffee maker is an additional point.

The 'office' area near the lobby is not functional as the seating (chair and table) is not appropriate to work on my laptop. As many guests are working in remote mode (working from anywhere), working while traveling requires a good wifi connection and an area for a short online meeting or completing some tasks with their laptop. Would appreciate it if you could arrange for this in your hotel.

My husband and I stayed at 6 different 5* hotels throughout our 1 month stay in Malaysia and AC Mariott Kuantan is the cleanest by far. We were very delighted to find such clean and comfortable room and bathroom. It was the only hotel that has exceptionally clean bathroom, not a single mold or stain on the grout between the tiles! I was advised that the room we got was a newly refurbished room (6033). I really hope that the hotel will keep up the cleanliness standard and maintain a mold and stain free bathroom & toilet. The room is nicely designed and the bed is very very clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread is decent and tasty. I will stay at AC Mariott again when I travel to Kuantan soon.

Hotel is clean. Nice smelling body wash and shampoo. Front desk staff Lynn is friendly. However Gurdev was unfriendly. He didnt greet us 'good morning' nor say 'thank you' and 'welcome'. Please advise him.

Front desk staff Gurdev needs to be friendly. Though he was masked, I could sense that he was cold and unfriendly. He needs to be advised as he is working in the hospitality department. He didnt say a word when I greeted him 'good morning' and 'thank you' when he validated my parking card. He just gave me the card without uttering a single word. If he is having a bad day at work or at home, it is really none of my business. Nothing beats a good welcome from a hotel staff after a 6-hr drive from Kelantan.

Overall a good & comfortable stay. Staff was attentive, responsive & friendly. Room was clean & comfortable. Buffet breakfast was okay and can be improved. Suggest the breakfast buffet items change daily.

The water temperature during showers was inconsistent. The water temperature rises intermittently. Room sound proofing can be improved. Some old mattresses & unwanted items left in the basement car parking lots caused unsightly. More car parking spaces are needed during peak seasons.

Very clean, comfortable and smells fresh. Lovely modern interior design. Beautiful lobby and library in the business center. Great location in the middle of Kuantan town with easy access to good food, shops and landmarks. Lounge area is a plus point and gives the place an exclusive feel for its price.

Decent breakfast buffet spread but can probably have more variety especially on local menu. Was expecting something that would promote Pahang specialty in the breakfast menu other than the usual Nasi lemak, roti canai and fried noodle.

Room was clean and comfortable .. Spacious, with sofa and nice pillows. the see-through mini bar is good. so that we wont forget what we have stored inside.

Room was clean and comfortable .. except 2 things: 1. Air Conditioning was not cooling.. Room was too warm and had to call maintenance to fix it at 12 midnight. Took them some 20 minutes, which disturbed my night. 2. since i'm only travelling again at late morning, i decided to sleep in but was disturbed by constant construction/renovation noise coming from somewhere in the same floor or somewhere below. Disturbed my rest prior to my long drive to Johor.
