One of the standout features of the property was the spacious room, which provided ample space to move around. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the view of the town from my room was quite nice. The room's shower was impressive, providing a refreshing start to the day, and the lighting was well-designed, creating a pleasant ambiance.

However, my stay was not without its disappointments. The restaurant staff left much to be desired, as their unfriendly demeanor detracted from the overall experience. The pool water had a yellowish tint, which was off-putting. Additionally, the promise of a TV with Netflix access was unfulfilled, as I couldn't access the service. The lift operation was slow, especially during peak hours, leading to frustrating delays.

1. The lobby area where you can access to the rooms was beautiful. 2. The cleanliness of the room was just nice. 3. The pool for kids was also quite spacious. 4. Easy access to shopping mall below the hotel.

1. One side of the toilet wall was made of glass and only 3/4 of it was covered. Top part of the glass can still see the reflection of the light from the toilet. (Not sure if all rooms are the same as this was my 1st stay here).

Near to the shops. Comfortable bed. Safe and free parking space provided. Very delicious of variety food serve on breakfast. Staff was helpful.

The tv cannot exceed volume that being set by the hotel. There is no hairdryer provided. The hose spray near the toilet bowl in faulty, need to adjust manually from the water adjustment. The curtians is dirty. No makeup table. No good lighting on the table. The electricity switch is in confusing position. Very old style switch. Need to improve. No bed table lamp. The swimming pool area is not clean, dirty and small space. Showering area at the pool was dirty and mouldy.

The breakfast is satisfying because it's light and simple to eat in the morning. The bedroom is large even single room, the comfort of the matress provided is satisfactory, the pillow is good and does not hurt the neck.

From my point of view just one thing, I am not satisfied with the parking space provided. There is no special parking space provided for the users staying at your hotel even it free. Every time we return from the exit, we have to go back and forth several times looking for a parking space.

Regarding the room, quite okay and clean. Facilities of the hotel is good. Location of the Hotel quite alright and very good for shopping area. Hotel Breakfast quite okay.

Parking area need to improve and safety, a lot of wild cats climbing up the vehicles, no guards take turn to look and take care the parking areas. Better need special parking places/areas for the hotel guests to park the vehicles.

The General Manager and Staff are very outstanding, they assist us during check-in by upgrading our rooms to connecting rooms into Deluxe especially for my Special boy. Parking is ready for us.. The Parking Brothers are awesome... Thank you to the Staff that upgraded our rooms. You all are AWESOME..

Convenience place to stay while in Miri. easy access to shops, eatery (restaurant) & supermarket. Very friendly staff and very good and nice parking guard (front of hotel). It makes my stay safe, comfortable and relaxing.

So far nothing. My stay is always enjoyable and at peace at Meritz. Rooms given is as expected. Check in & check out is fast and without hassled.

I booked this room for my parents and everything went well for them. When they got there, there was a long queue but they were lucky enough they were able to check in as soon as they arrived. There were issues with the toilet's water heater but the front desk staff immediately sent their maintenance guy to check. The heater still have issues even after checking so the front desk staff immediately arranged my parents to move and upgrade their room, free of charge. We really appreciate the prompt actions and kind gestures!! :)

Easy to find food around and shopping

I almost have problem with my room as I booked early like 2 month before the trip. Very hard to find parking since weekend a lot of Brunei come to miri, as myself was local sarawak got issue to get a room which quite annoy for me for the wait. And I don't like the toilet which disturbing as the wall was glass

I liked that it was within a shopping mall, very convenient just to go downstairs to shop & eat.

The food for weekday breakfast was not great at all. We did not eat much due to poor choices & not great tasting dishes. Rooms had musty smell, old-smell.
