We were 'upgraded' to the Bayview ST hotel. at first we were concerned but ultimately think that it was a good move. The area of Gzira had more restaurants nearby and probably more options for on street parking. The Bayview is close to the Ponsonby bus stop, but much further from the Sliema ferry terminal. Breakfast was good if always busy, we didn't try the hotel dinner buffet, but of the nearby restaurants, we especially liked the Gourmet Grill which can be accessed from the hotel lobby. We were on the first floor, there was some noise from the bars and restaurants below and from traffic, but this was much reduced with the balcony doors closed, we had a seaview room. WiFi was fast. Good room service, beds made most days and fresh towels. I would stay here again.

This turned out to be a positive but originally bad experience on New Year's Eve. We had booked a taxi to a restaurant through the hotel as one of us is of reduced mobility. The hotel's recommended taxi company sent a mini bus with a grumpy driver and were 20 minutes late, they dropped us some way from the restaurant, we only just arrived in time. We complained to the hotel who apologised and were able to refund the cost which we appreciated. We got a taxi back through an app with no problem. The free WiFi was insecure, I don't know why hotels do this. There was a secure option, it wasn't clear if this was chargeable, we were careful not to make any transactions on WiFi. The shower took a while to warm up, the floor was slippery and the door leaked. Used lots of towels to mop up!

Perfect location for catching ferries to Valletta really frequently priced at just €1.50- also bus only €2 really frequent short ride both to Valletta. Good spot to travel to anywhere from here. Room was spacious and clean - a little bit tired but this wasn’t an expensive hotel. Couldn’t get much reception on TV but didn’t want to watch it anyway. - might have sorted had I asked. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice - enjoyed the English breakfast with English baked beans - a foreign rarity. Very good spot for nightlife- lots of bars and eateries around on this strip- not noisy in room but was high up. 1 lift you could hear moving a bit but didn’t bother me. Pool was gorgeous on the bay which is a short walk away. The dining staff were charming. Very glad we chose this hotel as was honestly very nearly put off by the bad reviews.

Great place and great people working there. The lady at the reception, Neda, stole our hearts. She was a very nice, friendly and helpful person. Her smile alienated everyone around her. Very delicious breakfasts, a very nice chef who greeted us every morning. A wonderful gesture. A very big thank you to Supervisor Sebastian, who greeted us very nicely from the threshold of the canteen. I would also like to thank Daniela, she was the one who took care of the cleanliness of our room. I hope we will come back and it will be nice to see you again. You deserve a big bonus. The hotel can be proud to have you on its team.

We stayed for 6 nights and everything was absolutely amazing, the view is breathtaking, the staff from the receptions, waiters, cleaners everybody was incredibly welcoming and willing to help, the breakfast was diverse and delicious, the atmosphere is very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and exactly what we wanted. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

The wifi can be improved and from what I understood every room has its own boiler, but the hot water it’s only enough for one shower. Then you need to wait till it gets warm again. But it wasn’t too uncomfortable

If you are looking for the perfect stay in Malta, this is it. It's in a perfect location ín Sliema, by the sea and the bay, there are a lot of bus stops in the near, grocery stores, restaurants, bars and other shops. The staff is the nicest I've ever met. Everyone is smiling at us, helping with everything, the room was always perfectly cleaned, the receptionist Neda was really nice with us too, recommended a lot of attractions. The upper floors are reachable with elevator. We got a beautiful room with panorama to the bay and the old town of Valletta. In the room there are fridge, LCD TV, very comfy beds, a lot of room, very clean bathroom and a modern card-locked front door. Reception is 0-24, helpful everytime. The breakfast was amazing too. A lot of fresh juices, coffee, tea, fruit salad, french salad, english breakfast, ham, cheeses, sausage, bacon, various breads, toast, egg, french fries, marmalade, yoghurt and a lot of more. It was my second time in Malta but will surely go back and no doubt, that only to this hotel. Thank you for everything, can't wait to see you again!

There is literally nothing, I disliked in this hotel. The only thing I was sad about, that we could spend there only 5 days because our flight

Perfect location, near ferry, sightseeing and local buses and boats, shopping streets and bars. View from balcony to the bay and Valletta is amazing, we also enjoyed fireworks every evening. Breakfast is same every morning, but enough options to choose from. Pool is great and free, in Aqualuna building (5min walking). Friendly personnel.

Safety deposit box was broken. Didn't get any additional instant coffee and tea bags (costs 0,20 EUR at shop, no problems to buy, but bit annoying) or liquid soap in shower. In the family room was only one EU standard electricity plug, no adapters, we have to buy it (2 EUR, not a problem, but bit annoying :))

Since our stay at the Sliema hotel by ST hotel is over, I want to thank you for the offer and at the same time praise the exceptional kindness of the hotel staff (I would especially like to thank Neda and Daniela), the cleaning service and certainly emphasize the incredibly delicious food and its variety. If I come, I would ask that my stay be, if at all possible, in the same room, because the view is beautiful! Best Regards

Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful .the cleaning staff were excellent they did a fantastic job . Balcony view was second to none it was perfect.We asked to be moved to a higher floor which they did couldn't ask for a better view .

Toilet didn't flush and I was told maintenance tried to fix it several times .could do with replacing.A little noisy on the lower floors .

We liked the view from the balcony, and overall everything was great, including staff members, location, food, rooms etc.. The room was the perfect size and everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived.

The only thing that i didnt really like about the hotel were the doors near the elevator that were kinda hard to open, and the beds were kinda unstable (we were afraid we were going to break them), but besides those things everything else was great.

At arival at Sliema Hotel we were disapointed by facilities... They were not at all what was shown on booking. But staff was super welcoming and they offered to put us at sister hotel BAYVIEW by St Hotels - so this review is for it. BAYVIEW facility are great. Nice room with great bathroom and clean. Have awesome pool and little spa area, and breakfast spread was really good. Staff was great and friendly. On a good location, no parking, but there is public parking for 3 euro a day close - few minutes by foot. All in all - would recomend.👍 We gave it a 8 because we had to transfer.

At BAYVIEW we liked everything... and would 10/10 recomend. At SLIEMA hotel for us cleanliness was a problem. And photos are not accurate on booking for the Sliema hotel.
