The staff was extremely accommodating, starting from before the booking (helping us out with the airport transfer) up until our very last day. We felt like visiting friends abroad. They gave us incredibly useful information about public transport, restaurants, etc. Also, the location is perfect - right next to a lot of restaurant and coffeehouses in Sliema, Ferry to Valletta and bus stop. Finally, the apartment was clean, nicely furnished and the bed was super comfy.

Nothing, everything was perfect. However, if you have trouble walking, the street from the main road (where the ferry and restaurants are) is rather steep. It wasn’t an issue for us, it was literally 2 minutes of climbing.

When we travel, we don't like to set our expectations too high, so as to avoid being disappointed, and also because we don't feel entitled to a perfect stay. So we like to stay open and are always prepared to adjust things and adapt to our environment. But as soon as we stepped into D Townhouse Boutique, we knew we could lower our guard and relax. Everything, from the kindness of owner Dave, the helpfulness and sense of humor of manager Steven, to the tiniest details around the room, were a pleasant surprise. It's like everything was thought of to make your stay as nice and comfortable as it can get. We fell in love with Malta, and this boutique hotel was the cherry on the cake. A perfect stay can exist after all :)

Wish we could stay more!

It was a great stay in Sliema in Malta. It very well situated to go to every place you like. The ferries are around 5-10 minutes away. Many buses are at the same distance and there are many restaurants and commerce close by. The room has got a tiny kitchen that is great to be able to bring food or have breakfast. There is a small dining table. The bathroom is with a big nice shower that works perfectly. There is also a sofa and a TV if you like. The bed is very comfortable and big. The room is changed every day, they bring clean towels that smell clean and are nice to use. There were also slippers and a bathrobe for both guests. The access to the building was very easy with a code that was sent to me and the apartment as well. It was easy to contact the staff and everything very nice and tidy. I recommend it 100% If I go again to Malta I will stay there.

The only thing was that the water in the shower changed by itself sometimes. Or it was nice or suddenly it became very hot. I understand it's difficult to repair, just for people to know to be aware of it.

Our room was modern, big, clean, well-equipped and very quiet. We particularly loved the rooftop! The owner was also very helpful throughout our stay. We found water and beers in the fridge plus adaptors for the sockets, which was very considerate. I highly recommend it, since it felt like home!

Only a few minor details, which I'm stating for reasons of improvement: -The A/C was kinda loud even in the quiet function. Maybe it needs some maintenance. -Mattress could have been softer. -Some lamps were not working. -Sometimes the water in the shower was changing from cold to hot by itself.

This aparthotel is a delight. Good sized rooms with plenty of storage space in the bedroom and kitchenette & beautifully decorated throughout. There is a little balcony. There are plenty of electric sockets and in useful places too - tor instance next to the bed and the mirror. The property is about 3 blocks from the seafront up a steep hill but is very quiet. If you have a car, you can find parking in the street outside the property or very close by - I would recommend waiting til after 7ish as spaces seem to be more available in the early evening. Dave was super helpful and had some wonderful suggestions for things to do. He and his staff have created a lovely quiet comfortable holiday home.

D Townhouse Boutique Suites has to be one of the most convenient and comfortable stays I have ever had. It is situated 2 minutes from the port, the rooms were absolutely spotless and the rooftop terrace was absolutely gorgeous. Dave was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home. There was a bottle of water and two cans of beer to welcome us in our room. Our flight was in the evening so we were able to leave our bags in reception for the day. Dave has a separate bathroom with a shower if you were planning on going for a swim or if you just wanted to freshen up before taking your trip back home even after checking out. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Sliema.

David, Lisa and Stephen are great hosts and so welcoming and helpful. For our needs the apartment could not be in a better location. Ferry, transit and good restaurants all nearby. We were unsure of our arrival time as we flew into Malta early in the morning and rented a car from the airport to see the west and north side of the island. David sent us clear instructions and information on how access our apartment so we could arrive at our leisure depending on how our day progressed. Access was exactly as David said and we had no problems entering the apartment. We used David’s restaurant tips and every recommendation was a good one.

From the moment I booked I felt in safe hands. Dave was so friendly and welcoming, taking the stress out of things like booking transport to pick us up from the airport and providing tips on what to see and how to do it. He even arranged our taxi for us prior to departure and was constantly available throughout our stay. What I most enjoyed with our stay was the thoughtful little details, like inviting us to use the refresh room to shower and change upon early arrival and locking up our luggage for us. Once inside our spacious and comfortable studio, we found complimentary welcome beers and water in the refrigerator. Another plus attention to detail was the coffee machine was easy to use and supplied with decent coffee capsules each day, and enough supplies of toiletries that you didn’t need to ask for top ups or anything. The studio even had a guest WC in addition to a full ensuite. The location was ideal within a few minutes walking distance to the water front where ferries to Valletta cost around €5 for 2 people (tip- add €1 more to connect to a shuttle bus to go though Valletta city or to the fast ferry to Gozo terminals). There’s a good selection of restaurants, cafes, kiosk/mini markets just down the street. The large bed was very comfortable and there are double blinds/curtains for those who like their room light or dark. Good quality towels are provided and the cleaning was of a very high standard. The roof top terrace was a delight, with 2 to chose from and both were always free when we used them. One had a drying rack (another example of small details that can add to the enjoyment and feeling like you have the comforts of home) and sun lounges, the other terrace had tables and comfortable chairs and couches with tables that made relaxing in the evenings with wine or the complimentary beers an absolute delight. The roof top terraces also provided a great view of the many surrounding churches and the Valetta waterfront.

Nothing, the stay was exactly as expected and just like it’s advertised

Location was fab, so close to the harbour & plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. As we had a late check-in, we were met by Steve, super helpful & gave us plenty of information about the area. We met the owner Dave the following morning, who provided recommendations on places to eat. The room was very comfortable & very clean. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided, along with a microwave, iron/ironing board & hairdryer. After checking out, we were able to leave our luggage & there were shower facilities available to freshen up before heading to the airport.

Can't think of anything major, one minor thing it would have been nice to have a full-length mirror. :😊

- by far the most friendly and helpful hosts I've ever met - very clean, well equipped and comfortable room - a/c - perfectly located in a side street of sliema were it was quiet but only 5 minutes walk to the bus stops and ferry

- no mosquito net so we did not open the windows in the night, which was a little tricky since we don't like to run the ac at night but we managed :) - the water temperature in the shower was very unstable, even though you don't change anything, sometimes it gets cold or boiling hot, but after you figure it out you can manage ;)
