EVERYTHING! however let me go into detail. The rooms, while you are in the middle of nature you still have a cozy, welcoming, glamping-style rooms where every corner and view was carefully planned. Clean and allowing you to feel comfortable being barefoot all the time. The common areas are relaxing and while there were other guests we were never on top of each other and we all felt comfortable. the views at sunrise and sunset were espectacular. the deck and swings over the water provides an unique experience that I am certain few places in the world can.

That my stay was too short 😂 No, in all seriousness is hard to think of something I didn’t like. Maybe if I can write a fair review the rocky unpaved entrance maybe challenging for the small car driven by inexperienced driver. however that is not related to the property. The whole area has these access and to be honest while rocky we never got stuck and we managed very well in the rented van. other than mentioning that there is nothing I didn’t like.

Amazing location, our villa over looked the lagoon and was very comfortable. Free Kayaks were a great bonus! Only a short drive to Bacalar centre. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back again soon!

A hairdryer would be a good addition to the villa but other than that nothing!

Villa amanecer needs major maintenance. Cleaning is not optimal Getting to the hotel is VERY complicated, so you should consider extra money if traveling by taxi. Full menu of the restaurant is not always available and considering the difficulty to reach the hotel this might be a problem

Location right at water's edge

Although pre confirmed, room was not ready at arrival, then had to drive 30 minutes back to town to have late lunch as the kitchen was closed (cook quit); then couldn't have dinner as then they closed at 8:00 PM. High resort prices for rustic facilities in a rinky dinky operation. I wasn't planning on writing a bad review until the so-called manager lied to my face that he could get a boat ride for us as a service, then doubled the price of a boat trip so he could get 20% commission. Do not allow them to book anything, call or go into town. Plan on driving 20 minutes on highway and 10 through the jungle to get there.
