Nice little retreat with very kind people working there! It‘s directly at the beach with its own beach club which nerves great drinks and food.

The first room we had was horrible. It smelled horrible, had no warm water and was directly next to the electricity generator which didn’t give us a chance to spend time outside on the veranda. We complained and got a much nicer room with less noise and no bad smell. Also the veranda was much nicer! So I would recommend to not book the cheapest rooms but the Superior Studio instead. The Wifi didn’t work properly and there were frequent electricity breakdowns which both was a bit bothering but overall acceptable.

You have to give up on some comforts for the benefit of the off-grid accomodation

Having the beach at our doorstep. We stayed in one of the studios and was lovely having a small beach house for us. The room was very pretty with a lovely front porch to chill. Breakfast was good, with pancakes for the kids and a few freshly cooked options for the grown ups. The restaurant food is ok, conveniente if you want to stay in the premises all day - lovely beach facilities. Good range of massage options, absolutely beautiful massage but extremely overpriced (£75 for 30 mins, is double of London price)

The rooms only had a fan instead of air con, it wasn’t terrible in terms of temperature but air con would help with the humidity levels. The bathrooms could do with updating, mainly the shower - it’s an eco hotel so you shower and brush your teeth with salty water and you get the feeling you are never too clean….!

it is so cosy, quit and calm!

there is no hairdryer and airconditioner. but this is part of the deal. the fan was good and we adapted after first night.

The hotel is located in a good area to get in contact with animals for example turtles. The hotelstaff was very kind and helpful. Especially Santiago was always in a good mood and helpful. There exists no buffet. You can order one small and fresh prepared breakfast, so you can prevent food waste. Also the meals were very good and tasty.

It was too touristic and expensive around the whole beach strip. We missed local owned stores. There were everywhere designstores, expensive hotels and noisy bars/clubs. The streets were full of waste, the impact of humans to nature is obvious and too much. Also does not exist any information for tourists how to handle with turtles. There were so many tourists who behaved wrong and stressed them.

The beach was incredible and the food was good. The staff was wonderful - Daniel and Diego at the front desk were incredibly helpful with suggestions and helping us out with travelling around the city. At the restaurant, Ronny and Marcello were really great and friendly, as well as everyone else there. Julian drove us to the cenotes and showed us an amazing taco place.

The wifi was spotty but we didn't mind too much.

My stay at Dos Ceibas was amazing - I wish I could have stayed longer! The staff were amazing, super helpful and welcoming. The location is unreal, right on the beachfront. The room I had was huge, with an outside lounge space, hammock, and chairs. It was so handy having a restaurant there and not having to go out for meals if you didn't want to. You can easily rent bikes, scooters, and plan trips from the hotel which is really handy. As a solo traveller I would really recommend it - close enough to walk/bike into town and also far enough from the party zone to get a good sleep! I am definitely going back if I go back to Tulum!

Not much!

The hotel is like a green oasis - very, very beautiful and just meters away from its own private beach that was great too. The personnel, especially Marcelino during breakfast, was extremely helpful and caring - thank You, Marcelino! The receptionists -the lady and the guy (Jose) were both great too - very helpful and ready to assist with whatever needed!

The water in the bathroom could not be well regulated , it's either too hot or too cold ... We had arranged an airport shuttle transfer from the airport to the hotel via the hotel but the transfer guy came 1,5 hour after we landed which was not helpful - we took that from the receptionist the next morning while we needed to arrange for a last minute taxi in the evening from the airport ourselves. The hotel should have managed better the coordination as they are the linking point with the taxi drivers.

The room was so clean and fresh! Cozy, calm.. perfect! You could feel that the hotel has respected its surroundings with nature and animals. Close to the beach. We loved it! Our new friends in the reception and the parking guard were super nice and welcoming, helping us every part of the way. Hope to see you again! / Eduardo & Linnea 🇪🇸

The waiters could’ve been a bit happier and more service minded. We understand that they expected tip every time, as the American way, but in Europe we tip if the service was good. And it’s sad to feel you get less service because you didn’t tip the first time. And yes, we tipped in the end, but for other reasons. ☀️

the jungle flair is amazing only to be topped by the great beach. Super delicious breakfast and a lovely staff! we stayed at the jungle Bungalow and it was an amazing experience! as mentioned the staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we asked. location is perfect because it is far down the road on Zona hotelera where it is not that noise from the party center and close to the Sian kaan national park but still surrounded by good restaurants, shops and bars. daily free yoga class by the ocean :)

standard room we had for the first night was nothing for us traveling with kids. loud bc of the generator from neighboring hotel and quiet hot because the cool breeze from the sea didn't get there
