Great location close to the wedding venue that we came to attend. Lots of terrific restaurants and shops close by, easy walk to everything. Really great staff, very friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, big bathroom, very nice breakfast served outside. Nice pool, venue is right on the beach with with good beach furniture for guests.

We were surprised that it is not really a "hotel" but separate individual units connected by a winding path through landscaped jungle plants and trees. Ours was a solid structure with a thatched roof, our other couple was in a large "glamping" style tent attached to a solid structure where the bathroom was. They were nice big rooms, just not what we expected.

The location is wonderful if you want a quieter spot in Tulum. The staff is lovely and the resort is stunning. They only have about five rooms, so it’s very quiet most of the time. The private beach zone is great and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

Only item it’d say I didn’t love was how late breakfast started, 8:15AM. And no other spots nearby would be open earlier either, leaving nothing to eat or drink earlier and we’re earlier risers. Also, the AC is only on from 7p to 7a, which for us was no big deal, but they should mention that on the site.

I am glad to recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying in it again on my next visit to Tulum. The hotel is gorgeous! It is simple (no frills and not luxurious), but designed with exquisite taste. We stayed in one of the bungalows, which was very cozy and quiet. I slept very well. The location is on the far end of the beach road. At first I thought that was a negative because it takes so long to get from there into town. But then I realized this was actually the best part of the beach area in my opinion - less busy, classier restaurants that are not competing with the neighboring spots for who has the loudest music. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast, which was included, was simple but delicious. The hotel has room for improvement on some minor things, but overall I was very happy with it. And although not cheap, compared to the rates I saw for other hotels in the area, this one offered great value.

There was no place to be in the room other than the bed. a chair or sofa would make it more comfortable.

Exotic place to stay in the bungalows. I recommend definitely guacamole sandwich for breakfast.

The room was clean and comfortable. The beach is beautiful. Communication was smooth and the staff was very responsive.

The construction zone right next to the hotel was very annoying, I wish we’d been told before our arrival. The noise didn’t let us enjoy the common areas or have breakfast by the bar. It’s very frustrating to pay that much money to not be able to fully relax or enjoy all the facilities of the hotel. Also the food and drinks are not great, we ended up having all meals and drinks outside the hotel.

Location and decoration of the property is great and the staff is very friendly

The decoration is lovely and the location is one of the best on Tulum beach but there are several details that are missing to make this a 5 star hotel/ property at the same price range as some of the other properties nearby

I don’t usually post negative reviews, and prefer to resolve issues directly with the hotel. However, having received no answer to my complaint I feel compelled to inform others that Ether is not yet ready to offer guests the experience it promises. Instead of a “private sacred space” it is next door to a construction site with a crane, drilling and banging from 8am - 7pm. We stayed for 3 nights and every day during our stay there was loud noises of drilling, heavy machinery, and hammering throughout the hotel, including the private beach and restaurant. Though the hotel looks beautiful, it was impossible to relax or enjoy it with the constant noise. I really think that the hotel should notify people of this disruption before booking or offer a significantly reduced rate until the building work is completed. We spoke to reception about it on our first afternoon. They offered to move rooms on our final night. However this was not a solution because the noise was everywhere. Since we left over a week ago the hotel has not replied to several messages seeking a resolution or compensation. The staff on site were friendly and apologetic, but the management and owners of this hotel seem to only be interested in instagram followers, not providing a good experience for guests.
