It is amazing. The Riad is a typical Moroccan family house that has been open to visitors. The best thing in Dar Anebar are the host, Ahmed, and all the people working hard to make your stay memorable. Everything is easy, communication, tips for the city, and their incredible hospitality. The location is great, on the entrance of the Medina, easy to reach any spot at a walking distance. The rooms are beautiful, super clean and comfortable, with very good working AC. Many details in the rooms for the guests to be as comfortable as possible.

A great original Riad in the heart of Fes, with easy parking closely. You feel like living in the old days, yet, everything was very well thought of to meet the needs of our today's life. The staff were all willing to help and service our needs, including providing info about the sights and navigating through the "labyrinth" of Fes. I would greatly recommend it to whoever wants to, not only visit the Medina of Fes, but also experience the "old" way of living in the Medina within a traditional but well maintained Riad of old times.

Nothing to report here.

AMAZING staff. Very authentic Moroccan feel. Substantial Moroccan breakfast each morning is included. Spacious rooms with good air con. The staff went above and beyond for us, not only when I was unwell, but throughout the stay they went out of their way for lots of little things which was so appreciated.

There are a few small streets that need to be walked to reach the Dar from the road (3mins on foot) or Medina (5-10 mins on foot). No issues encountered on our behalf but depending on your level of travel, some may feel uncomfortable/ if alone late at night. Again, absolutely no issues from us.

It was a great surprise when we arrived at the Hotel. We were received by the staff with a nice tea and a really calm environment. The main building had a nice fountain in the center, music in the evening and they also served dinner with wine. Our room had an amazing bed and was located at the annex, so it was calmer than the main building. Totally recommended!

Walking in the medina is not an easy task. The GPS is not always accurate, you can´t really see what is at the next corner and there is always someone trying to "guide" you to some places. Talk to people, but don´t accept their "help", they you will ask for money.

Dar Anebar was absolutely magnificent, our room was exceptionally beautiful, comfy, so very spacious and with everything to make our stay more than perfect. The bathroom was fabulous and so spacious too. Pity we stayed only one night as we would have loved to stay much longer. Staff were absolutely fantastic, professional and friendly. They made us feel at home and part of the family, they treated us like king and queen! We also had dinner there, which was delicious and they were able to cater for my diet and allergies. I can’t praise this Riad highly enough. In the morning they even accompanied us to the nearby square to fetch a taxi to the station. We highly recommend this Riad, it was exceptional and truly magnificent!

Everything was great! Riad was traditional and beautiful. As female travellers we were cautious but at no point did we feel unsafe. The staff were amazing we can’t thank them enough for their hospitality, it definitely felt like being at home, we were sad to leave! Thank you to Ahmed’s and Aziz’s for your hospitality, you are all amazing and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. You looked after us all and ensured we were happy and safe. The excursions organised by the staff were great. We will be back one day with our families!

We reserved a very large room with king size bed facing the interior courtyard. It was a great room, and I wholly recommend booking that one (whatever it's called). There was a nice sitting area and the bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. The bathroom was huge, with plenty of extra towels and toiletries. The bathtub was soooo nice to soak in after a hot, dirty day of walking through the medina and different tourist sites. Since the window of the room faces the inner courtyard, you don't hear any outside traffic or people in the street. In the evening the hotel played instumental music during dinner, and the music plus fountain gave the room we booked a lovely, relaxing ambiance. Breakfast was good and dinner was generous and delicous. Since this hotel is kind of isolated, it was nice to find a 4 star hotel around the corner that had a bar and also served a delicious dinner on a lovely outdoor patio. So you can eat dinner in this Riad and at the neighboring hotel to mix up your meals a bit.

The coffee at breakfast was terrible, and when we complained, the staff suggested we pay 3 euros to use their Nespresso machine...I understand charging for a Nespresso pod during the day, but when your customer complains at breakfast two days in a row about the bad coffee, that's the time to offer a Nespresso pod on the house. The location isn't great. It's far from the rest of the medina. On the flip side, it's a quieter area and you can exit in a few minutes to get to the street. There are a lot of people in this part of the Medina trying to "help" you. It's best to just exit the medina and then either walk the long 20 min or so sidewalk to another entrance or take a cab.

Beautifully decorated, wonderful and attentive and helpful staff, safe, awesome views from the rooftop over the city, excellent dinner and service. We were escorted and then served tea in the lobby on arrival after a difficult encounter in the Medina, which was very welcoming. also had a great breakfast and then help with booking a taxi to the train station.

Felt very safe, we know there was security cameras, one last level of security we wish we had was a doorman (but understandable and we still felt safe, and this mostly relates to our encounter outside before arrival ). Also the wifi was a little bit spotty on our floor, but overall worked well for our communications and next day planning.

It was a special memory to remember! Although it was a bit hard to find, among the alleys. Although you need to go up some stairs.. Well, the moment you walked through the door! A whole little sweat and beautiful world opens for you. The decor of the place will bring you back to the past, like in 1001 nights story.., still very close and warm with the feel of your family's home Breakfast was fresh and full, basic choices like other places I stayed during my trip from the north to south of Morocco The dinner was outstanding! Especially the save life soup for my friend who was ill..They understand what you need and do their best to support you. The people..well! I can't tell enough about the people especially Mr.Adapter who looks like a difficult supervisor but actually very generous, understanding and fun, especially taking care of guests from his heart. He told jokes whenever he could. After our checking out, he gave us a space to relax, with all our big luggages, did not think twice, even when 1 of us were so ill that just wanted to lie down, even when his new guests were coming, and we might have brought a bad image about his home to the new guests. The moment he stopped us from going to the taxi to give us some more time to relax made our hearts confirmed: 'this place is home, real home' Well there is also Mr. 'Always there' who felt the needs for help from others and willing to provide support all the time. And Ms. Window sister who was so friendly and sweat to the crazy guests who could not help dancing and running around the beautiful yard! The last moment we left Dar Anebar we had a lot of mixed feelings, it had been something very dear to us, even the little children playing outside the alley or the birds singing on top of the trees or the old high windows, something beautiful from inside..

I did not have more time to stay there longer

Beautiful riad!! The room was gigantic, clean and super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and staff were really friendly. They helped us navigate through the map and showed us the best places to visit. No need for a guide! They talked to the taxi driver when we arrived at the train station to explain where to take us and even had one of the staff waiting for us to take us from the taxi to the riad. Big thank you to Ahmed for bringing my shirt to the train station after I left in the bedroom. Definitely a great option in Fes.
