Riad is in an excellent location, 8 minute walk to the Medina. The riad is exceptionally beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is traditional Moroccan (Msemmen, Harsha, Moroccan pancake, jam, honey, butter, fromage, tea, coffee & orange juice) but they will make you eggs upon request. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Roof Terrace is currently under construction so the only place to really enjoy your tea or coffee is in the main lobby, where breakfast is served.

Stunningly beautiful Riad, like being in a palace or cathedral. The room was sumptuous, beautifully decorated and just an incredible experience to sleep in. We had two bathrooms which was fantastic. The courtyard and hammam are excellent and the staff are wonderful. Huge thanks to the excellent service from Azzedin, Asmaa and Hassan. Azzedin helped us tremendously as a porter and with early breakfasts and info. Asmaa is a lovely host and good with communication and Hassan makes a super coffee! Also this Riad is very close to a Medina gate (Bab Ziat) and has car access, which is incredibly rare in Fez and super helpful if you travel with luggage. Also amazing value for money!

Perhaps the shower could be a bit cleaner, and the bathroom sink a bit bigger, but generally the room was very clean.

This Riad was such an amazing value for money! It was our first time in Morocco and the staff have made it such a great experience. They’re always on top to help us with anything we need (from ordering taxi to pick us up from the airport, etc). The hospitality we received was truly exceptional! They even allowed us to keep our luggage in the same room when we left for an overnight trip (we stayed for one night here and went to visit the Merzouga for one night before coming back for another two nights at Damia). The breakfast was lovely, such a nice and spacious room as well! Highly recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Fes!

Absolutely stunning riad! Walking through the door into the large courtyard, we had to stop and take it in. It is like palace with the gorgeous tile work and charming furnishings. We were warmly welcomed and brought tea to our beautiful table, while they registered us. We were helped by Asmaa, who is incredibly helpful and friendly, and speaks excellent English. She gave us some terrific advice on how to get to the medina to minimise confusion and hassle, and told us to call if we needed any help while we were out. Then our luggage was carried up a little stairway to our spectacular room. We felt like royalty. So many gorgeous details. We ate there our first evening and the food was excellent, the service perfect. Same for breakfast. We also had terrific help parking our car, just inside the medina walls. We highly recommend staying here! It was a highlight in our month of travel in Morocco.

As a frequent traveller, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Riad Damia in Fez. What I appreciated most about this accommodation was its remarkable blend of traditional charm and modern comforts. The ambiance of the Riad, with its beautifully decorated interiors and serene courtyard, offered a truly authentic Moroccan experience. However, what truly set Riad Damia apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Hassan and Ayoub. Their local insights and willingness to assist with every request, from dining recommendations to navigating the city, were invaluable.

In all honesty, there was nothing I didn’t like about my stay at Riad Damia. It’s rare to find a place that meets all your expectations, but Riad Damia did just that.

The staff very very friendly and ready to help (from bringing luggages in to helping with parking to giving tips and recommendations). We got a room upgrade to a very nice one, very spacious and cool. Location is pretty central and facilities pretty good. Hammam available w extra fees.

Even if the staff cleaned the room every day, the overall cleanliness is not the strong suite of this place, and during our last night we had a cockroach visit us, which wasn't a pleasant encounter...

We booked the "3 bedroom" so we had a huge room with two bathrooms. We loved they had black soap available to use in the bathrooms. The staff is very accommodating, anything you ask for they can make it happen. We ask for taxis, tours, and hamam experience all we received at a reasonable price, better than have to search things out on your own.

Our "3 bedroom" room was really only 2 rooms the downstairs apartment/room had one queen bed on one side and 2 twins on the other. Downstairs also had the only AC, so sleeping upstairs was very uncomfortable with only a fan during the hot summer of Fez which reached 120*F or 46*C during the day. I would have been fine if the heat was not was extreme

The manager, Asmaa, is the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered. The other staff were so personable and helpful, as well. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are large and beautiful.

The first night we were in a gorgeous room but the ac was not working properly and flooded the area beneath it. There were also ants in the bathroom. The staff immediately changed us to another room for the second night and the ac in that room worked perfectly.

It is full of character, so it’s a good choice is you really want to get a feel of staying in the old town instead of a modern hotel. The building is almost a hundred years old, the room we got was really huge. The staff is very accommodating, they arranged the medina tour guide for the two of us and the taxi going to the airport. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the medina and we learned a lot from the tour! We also requested for an earlier breakfast due to our flight.

The location is a bit on the border(?) of the medina which could be a good thing or bad thing for you. It’s a quick walk from Bab Ziat, so you can take a taxi up to there then find the riad. Cars cannot enter the interior of the medina, so the location is a plus factor for this riad. It could be a con if you want to stay out late and be at the center of the medina where the restaurants are, you’ll have to walk for maybe 15 mins to go home, and the walkways can be tricky but manageable with Google Maps.
