This is a lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental and perfectly good (especially as it is included as standard). Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The only "warning" I would give is that due to the type of building and location the stairs are fairly steep, not a problem for us but could be for those who are unsteady on their feet.

The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom spotless. I loved the fresh green apple in the room - nice touch. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was amazing, fresh, tasty and plentiful.

The scaffolding outside my window was fine, but I certainly did NOT expect the man who walked past my first floor window several times - just so happened I was getting dressed at the time. A phonecall to alert me to this fact is all it would have taken. I am very understanding of someone wanting to check building work after a night of heavy rain. I mentioned this to receptionist who replied that something had to be checked, as if that made it ok. Disappointing.

I really liked this lovely family run business in a lovely location. We wanted to stay outside the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam but be able to easily get in and out of the city. This was perfect. The hotel is in a lovely relaxing area with nice walks and restaurants just down the road. We hired bikes from the hotel and enjoyed riding around on the excellent cycle paths. It's such a great way to get around and see so much. I really can't express just how fantastic and friendly all the staff were here.

It was a bit further than I expected to walk to the tram stop. But that could be my fault with my research being old. It is a 20 min walk to the tram stop and then you need to take the metro into Rokin to get to Dam Square. But I did find that quite fun and the public transport system is fantastic there. When we arrived we were given a room downstairs opposite the kitchen it was very noisy. There was noise from the room next door and lots of noise in the morning from the kitchen but as soon as we mentioned this to reception our room was changed to one on the first floor. It was called Dam Square and this room was perfect, quiet and spacious. Couldn't ask for more.

The place was affordable and in a nice area. It was a more or less normal house which feels cosy. The bed was comfortable, and it had a solid tea and coffee station, with nice little touches such as a free apple and chocolate. I didn't try the onsite restaurant, but it's close to the Amstelveen city centre, although it takes some time to cross the highway.

The breakfast could be better. It was table service where you only got to choose the bread but fruit and yoghurt were missing. So the breakfast options were quite limited. Also, when I wanted to check out no-one was present at the desk.

My train was delayed and I was worried I would miss the checkin, the team reassured me in messages and in a phonecall that they would wait for me until 12:30. They were there! I checked in and was good to go for the seminar I was attending on the Saturday. The Breakfast and the service were outstanding! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I cannot fault this hotel and will most certainly recommend it highly. I would love to return as it is located in a very quiet residential area, walking distance to the tram into the centre of Amsterdam (museums, etc) and I felt safe. As a woman travelling on my own, I felt safe at all times in the hotel and in the location whilst walking to and from the points I wanted to go to. There is actually very easy access from the Amsterdam Central Station if you get the tram to Veenen and then you either walk the 1.2 km to the hotel or you get an Uber that final short distance. This hotel is a fabulous "find" and it is one of those that you will go back to or recommend highly to friends and family.

There was nothing negative about this venue. Only positives apply!

very quiet area, clean room, nice breakfast and comfy beds

it was quite a way from the centre of Amsterdam but, once we figured out the trans, etc it was no bother (20 mins walk to line 5 which goes close to the centre, change at Zuid if wanted to go to central station) bought a 72 hrs pass for 20Euros

The bed was super comfortable and clean. The Chocolat and apple was a gesture of kindness. We were really happy and satisfied with the breakfast served. Everything tasted fresh and good.

There was no elevator. That was not a huge problem for me and my husband, but the first thing we thought was that that could be a problem for people with reduced mobility. The main light in the room wasn't working. We noticed there was an lightbulb there, so we tried to plug it and it worked. But then later we discovered that, when turning off the light, the TV would also turn itself of. That was a bit annoying, but not a huge problem. The toilet was really small, so two people couldn't stand there together.

The room was amazing! The bathroom had a spa bath, and it was huge and it functioned perfectly! My husband and I really enjoyed it! For a 3-star hotel, it definitely exceeded my expectations as I have been to 4 and 5-star hotels with a room that could have been better than this one.

I liked everything, the only thing is, (which for us was not an issue) is that the rooms do not have a room number, so you need to memorise where it is. Ours was on the ground floor, so it was fine for us.

We had continental breakfast included, which was a delicious, great variety of food. The room was spacious, well decorated, nice view from the window and very comfy beds. Loved the bathroom and the shower. Good location, a bit far from the Amsterdam centre but a great choice of public transport and cycle paths. They communicated with us very well about the check-in and check-out times and patiently waited for us while our flight was delayed.

Really good sized room. Well equipped- kettle, 2 pillows each, clothes rail, toiletries. Great location - short walk to bus station and restaurants whilst property in a quiet area so a good nights sleep. Managed to park on site but also plenty of parking on the street.

Safe was locked when we got there so couldn’t use, could have mentioned to staff but just carried passports instead. Tap in the room leaked and made some interesting noises.
