Lovely garden right next to the canal. Service extends to the lawns, too . Connecting rooms were very convenient. Rooms are comfy and cosy. The hotel is a short walk away from Vondelpark and the tram runs nearby too

Good location, nice room view, spacious and good facilities. Helpful friendly

I found the bed very hard - needs a good mattress topper. I have a bad back and found it difficult to sleep.

Pretty much everything was excellent as regards to helpful staff, cleanliness. Breakfast service was very good. We didn't avail of the evening dining, so can't comment on that. Would have liked to have been able to open our windows for fresh air in the bedroom, but understand this is more of a safety measure.

Having to pay €10.00 for one pint of beer. We would have availed of the bar service if it was more reasonably priced. Instead, we purchased beer from a local store and drank them in our room. For price paid, there should also be better television channels available--they were mainly Netherlands, and no sport channels.

This was a great hotel! It was off the beaten path in regards to the central part of Amsterdam, making for a nice, quiet retreat to return to at night. We had to travel a little further to get to the main attractions each day, but it was still only about a 15-20 minute walk to reach most everything we wanted to get to. And you could rent bikes if you wanted to, making it even quicker to get downtown.

We wish they would have had an ice machine.

THE PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGH

Breakfast requires monitoring. Not enough tables. Not enough staff members. People crossing each other all the time. The food was good and so was the presentation. Yet something needs to be done to replace the present chaotic situation during breakfast, perhaps transferring the food display to the middle of the room so that guests can go around it. This would more than double the space around the table.

Brilliant location just outside tourist hub of canal belt but easy walk to museum oleino etc. Hotel benefits from having own garden directly on canal which is a real oasis. We were in an upper floor so could see across whole central belt up to the main railway station. Hotel has ample parking which is a bonus in Amsterdam. Breakfast, staff, facilities all fabulous. Room was spacious and we had connecting bedrooms with our sons, separate bathrooms was lovely. Location, although initially we were worried it was too far out and not near enough to the central canals, as it was Pride Weekend we joined in the parade but returned to a quieter part of town when we'd had enough. The restaurant wasn't an option - too expensive.

The initial check in was with a trainee. Although I appreciate everyone needs to learn - she wasn't trained in smiling or welcoming us to the hotel, not a good first impression. Drinks in the bar were crazy prices - €6 for a cola? €12 for a non alcoholic cocktail?

very clean and comfortable. there are somethings that are very well thought of and the staff was great. climate control in the room was very good!

technology and small conveniences were lacking. to remote was barely working. It had no tv casting option which is available in many newer hotels. The room only had one place to hang coats to dry while there was much space available for another. No Bluetooth speaker to play music. Lighting options were very limited. Generally, a few things modern hotels would have were not available.
