The staff were so helpful, they allowed me to leave my baggage after check out while I explored the city before my flight out of Amsterdam. They warned before hand about the steep flight of stairs, which I appreciated as they have concerns about practicality of taking large luggage upstairs (I had carry-on). The staff were friendly, and willingly answered questions I had. Room was spotless, and location was right near tram and bus lines that take you directly to central station AND the airport! Also, bed was really comfy!

Only the staircase, this may prove a big issue for some guests, my big feet made it difficult but I was able to manage by taking extra caution😊

The place was so cute - me and my boyfriend loved it! Our room was with big balcony witch made it even better - it was clean, very warm and cozy, our room was getting cleaned everyday. There is very cozy looking living room on the first floor where the breakfast is served - we did not got breakfast, but we were having coffee. The location is perfect - very close to Van Gogh museum ,next to a park and on a nice mid walk to the "center" (or where all the coffeeshops , shop and everything else is) I can't say how the transport is because we did not need it at all. Loved it!

The room was spacious for family of 4 adults. Nice view, basic kitchen utensils, fridge, tables and 3 single comfy sofa.. toilet was good. sink outside the bathroom was so convenient. I love it. It just 2 minutes walk to tram stop ConcertGebouw. and museums and park.. we enjoy walking around nite and day. Get tram ticket at the kiosk at the park. Fantastic owner Rose & Yuko..

Nothing.. just the stairs but.. we get use to it after 1 day. most of the premises had that steep stairs. so we good..

I stayed at this hotel to attend an event in the Vondelpark which was located about 10 minutes away, so the location was perfect. I was greeted by a helpful member of staff who gave me some advice on potential places to eat, complete with a map of the area. I decided on a nearby Indian and Nepalese restaurant which turned out to be an excellent and tasty recommendation. The room and the shared toilet and shower facilities I had booked were all spotless.

Unfortunately, the stairs in this building were not suited for travellers with multiple heavy bags. A member of staff did offer to help carry the bag, but I declined since I only had one suitcase that was relatively light. The building also wasn't soundproof. It was quite easy to hear other people, not just in the room next to you, but basically everywhere in the building. The floors had creaky wooden boards.

Very well located hotel close to Het Concert Gebouw, Van Gogh Museum, Museumplein and Rijksmuseum. If you're going to join a cultural event or spend a short time in Amsterdam and want an affordable yet comfortable option, this a the perfect place for you. The room is small, but comfortable enough to relax and sleep comfortably during the night. There's a mini-bar and a kettle in the room with some coffee and tea, so you can serve yourself if needed. Staff people are kind and helpful. You get the keys for the hotel room and frontdoor, so you can arrive whenever you want by your own. Breakfast option available.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very well cleaned every day. Towels are only changed if you leave them in the bathroom floor. Beds were comfortable. Rooms had enough space for everything and they were very well equipped with everything that you might need. Soap, towels, hairdryer, hangers, kettle, glasses, mirror both in bathroom and in the room.

Our room on third floor (n.15) was really cold. I guess windows were not sealed properly cause our friend’s room on second floor was not that cold. It was a minor issue since we only used room for sleeping (though getting out from bad was a bit hard because of the temperature in the room). Water drainage system was really bad in the shower.

I was looking for a simple, centrally-located hotel that was priced in accordance with my limited budget, and the Hotel Verdi was ideal. It is located in a prosperous part of the city, which felt safe. Yes, I shared WC and shower facilities with guests in two other rooms on my floor, but these were immaculately clean at all times, and I rarely saw another guest. My room had a beautiful view over some lovely gardens at the back of the hotel, and was peaceful and quiet at all times. But what I liked most were the people working in the hotel, who warmly welcomed me and served a delicious, good-value breakfast each morning (which I recommend).

Many people have mentioned the stairs, but these did not present a problem for me, as I only had a small bag. I was able to climb them without any difficulty - and I'm almost 70 years old.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very polite, and helpful. The room was on the first floor, and it was comfortable and adequate for the needs of a family (4 people). The proximity to the museum quarter and the concert hall was a big plus. The room had a kettle, mini fridge and a hair dryer (which we had not seen in the room description earlier) that were very welcome for us.

The hotel has very narrow and steep stairs, which could make it difficult to navigate for people with disabilities. Also, it might be useful to underline that the room has a fridge, kettle and a hair dryer in its description--we brought our hair dryer and travel kettle with us, as we were not aware that they were available.

The area is lovely, and I could explore a lot of South and Central Amsterdam on foot. The room was small, but clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were all very friendly. The stairs are really steep, so if you have mobility issues or a fear of heights Hotel Verdi might not be for you...try to travel light if you're staying here!

There was a tea station in the room...would have appreciated a coffee option as well, like a sachet of instant coffee. But that's a minor niggle, I really have no complaints.

Room was good, bed was good. Staff though is excellent, extremely helpful. Location excellent, very very close to Rijksmuseum and city center both are at walking distance. There is no lift so you have to carry your heavy luggage self which yes was informed to us prior our stay which I extremely appreciate but may be this could be mentioned on the booking page itself so one can make up there mind especially old age people.

The cost what was charged is not worth could be a lil cheap. My suggestion to hotel would be to keep it under 100 Euro so they can have repeat clients at that cost. There is no lift so you have to carry your heavy luggage self which yes was informed to us prior our stay which I extremely appreciate but may be this could be mentioned on the booking page itself so one can make up there mind.
