The hotel is very close to the Van Gogh Museum, as well as a quaint park and some good restaurants. The room was clean and spacious, and they provided a great fan when the weather was warm. The front desk was able to book a taxi for us to take us to the airport.

The room was slanted, so I often felt like I was going to fall right off the bed. There was construction going on during our stay, and they started quite early at 8am and it could be heard from the open windows.

Hotel in a great location as it backs onto vondelpark which is a lovely 10 minute walk through the park to Leidseplein which is full of bars and restaurants and great tram links to the whole city. Great breakfast and lovely hot shower. We would definitely stay here again

A small fridge in the room would be nice and more than 1 coat hanger

Excellent location placed in a quiet zone and very closed to the principal attractions. Very nice and kind staff. Breakfast was very good.

Wifi connection was poor in room.

very close to a tram stop that took you right into the centre of amsterdam, walking distance to vondelpark and multiple museums and attractions, bathroom was very nice with a big shower, bed was very big and comfortable, staff were helpful and kept the room clean

no air conditioning so got quite hot at night and fan was quite loud so was a bit of a struggle, was told we had to get our bags at a certain point from storage and ended up having to go to the airport quite early which was a bit inconvenient even though the reception doesn’t close until 10

Location was excellent, next to Vondelpark and only a few minutes away from main museums. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a vintage vibe, with a few old things here and there, but everything was clean and comfy. They offered free coffee/tea/hot milk from the machine downstairs which was very convenient in the mornings. Many restaurants in the area, the ones we tried were very good. Supermarkets are 10 minutes away.

The fan in the bathroom was always on, which added a bit of noise to the room. The heating was high during the night, so it could be more difficult to sleep, light clothes are recommended even in winter. Breakfast is very expensive, and though it seems to be varied, doesn't seem to be value for money.

Great location next to Vondelpark and helpful staff after the problem of leaving suitcaases outside of desk hours settled. Any hotel should always allow luggage drop-off any time. Having an elevator in these old buildings with narrow stairs is most useful.

So, the place is under renovation, which is fine since we are gone all day anyway, but noise starts at 7 am. If this is the case, either state this in the booking sites, or else reduce the room fee since we have to tolerate waking up at at THEiR HOURS and not ours. That is only fair--room fees are not cheap.

Atlas Hotel is not the cheapest, the most spacious and comfortable hotel out there, it a townhouse converted into a hotel. Yet this is our fifth time in this little corner gem and we love it. First of all the staff: Maria is a wonderful person with a compassionate heart 💖 and a beautiful smile and soul🧡 With her, we felt at "home" in every sense of the word. Secondly the location of the hotel is amazing, it is a wonderful walk to the city center. There is also a big supermarket nearby to grab some light dinner after a long day of strolling. The neighborhood with Vondelpark is peaceful; not crowded or loud like the inner-city streets. There is a kettle in the room for some cuppa and also the free coffee and tea in the reception area is such a comforting welcome. Moreover the reading lights- generally ignored- is such a blessing for readers like me. The bed is also very comfortable.

The shower drain was slow.

Great location near the major museums and several places for breakfast. Although they offer breakfast in the hotel itself we didn't try it. Great staff too! We arrived early and they met us with a cappucino and took our luggage to store until checkin. As it happened, our room was available quite early so were able to get set up in the room earlier than expected and start our day in the city. We also got some goo recommendations where we could find some jazz and blues venues. The room was very quiet and large enough for all our stuff. The window opened into a courtyard space where bikes were stored and the fresh air was great after a long flight.

We were on the ground floor and there was an occasional odor that eminated from the shower drain. It was not a problem for us as it left when taking a shower.

December 2022

The beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the towels were replaced often. There was plenty if hot water (in December) and the shower was powerful and relaxing. It is in a quiet neighborhood and is generally a quiet establishment. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the Museums. Less than a 10 minute walk to the food stores and trams. And the park is right next door. The staff were all very nice and helpful except for the grumpy guy who had the unfortunate task of letting us in our first night at 2 am.

The basement room we were first put in had bad smells from the plumbing as well as a full concert of noises in the morning as the people in the building started to use the water. There was no space to move around or unpack anything in that room. Luckily, the staff moved us into a room on the third floor which had more space, no smells, and a bit of storage space. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms, which is unfortunate for longer stays. Murphy's Law - we had to leave for the airport at 3 am and the elevator did not work. We had to carry our full-size suitcases and trolley bags down the steep stairs. The location and friendly staff made the stay worthwhile and I would actually stay there again as long as I could make sure to be in a third floor room.

Quiet neighborhood (away from huge tourist crowds) on edge of Vondelpark. Museums and restaurants close by. Everything accessible either walking for taking tram (5 min walk). The Central Station, Dam, Redlight areas are very, very crowded. Talked with three different staff members during our stay and they were all very friendly and helpful.
