This is my second time in Amsterdam but first time in this hotel. I fell in love with the friendliness of the staff, especially Elroy. He showed us typical places to eat, where to take public transport and many other tips, he really helped us make our holidays fun and easy. When the welcome is of this type the hotel is rated 5 stars. There are stairs for those who have difficulty with suitcases especially is heavy but even in this case the fantastic Elroy helped us without even asking. The room was spacious and with a small garden outside, the bathroom was comfortable and with a welcome gift in the room. Definitely recommended.

The hotel is in such a nice neighbourhood, right near the Vondelpark and museums, and down a lovely quiet residential street. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the complimentary wine and fruit. It was also useful being able to leave our bags before check in and likewise after check out. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the view on to the magnolia at the back was nice. This hotel is a great budget option for a couple of night's city break.

It could have been cleaner - whilst the bedding and towels were clean, the rest of the room needed a scrub, especially the bedside tables. The chair in our room hadn't been wiped and was covered in someone else's hair. The hotel needs a bit of an upgrade - our room was fine but the hall carpet is manky and our shower curtain was really mildewed.

The location was perfect for us. Nice quiet area away from the crazies but a good walking distance to the museums and centrum. Staff and coffee were brilliant. The room size was amazing and we had a nice balcony which turned put to be great for bird watching. I would probably stay here again :) We recommend Dignita for breakfast/brunch.

Just a bit more attention to detail would be nice. We didn't have a TV remote in the room. This wasn't a huge deal as we were out all day and we probably should have asked reception for it but it's just something we didn't think of in the morning and then it was too late at night when we returned. The bathroom didn't feel clean in parts. The sink looked like it needed a good scrub and the towels could he updated.

The location is amazing, right next to Vondelpark and a 2 minute walk from the number 2 tram stop. I booked the ground floor room for my pensioner relatives and they were very grateful to avoid the steep stairs up to the first floor. Our room was directly above theirs and had a large terrace. The rooms were very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfy. Tea and coffee in the room and free from downstairs in the reception/dining area (where we enjoyed a couple of takeaway dinners). The shower was great and our room also had a bath. TV worked 100%. What topped the stay off was the people working there. They couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and we felt really welcome there. I've stayed in lots of hotels in Amsterdam over the years but now I know about this place I don't think I'll stay anywhere else when I return, it was really really good.

We lucked out and got a parking space right outside but it wasn't cheap to pay daily through the meter. My own fault for not sorting out parking before we arrived though.

the room was lovely, we got the top floor which does have quite a few stairs to climb, but the size and balcony made it completely worth it! location is great, just a few tram stops from the centre, with a stop 2 minutes walk from the hotel! also one street over from the bus stop that takes you to and from the airport! you can opt for breakfast service at a price, which we did not, however it did look delicious! and free coffee downstairs always

i could not fault this lovely hotel! if you're not good with stairs, there is no lift, so expect to climb a bit, but this is pretty standard for Amsterdam! so don't let this put you off, as the service here was really top notch :) we would absolutely be staying again!

The staff were really lovely- especially the guy who worked over the weekend. He was super helpful and it made all the difference. Location is great- very handy for the tram but also a nice walk into town through the Vondelpark if you prefer. TV was great, free tea and coffee AND we had a little bottle of wine to welcome us to our room which was really appreciated.

There were a couple of things in the room that weren't working. The safe and the telephone. We didn't need either of these but maybe they didn't need to be in the room? Not a problem and I'm sure it would have been sorted if we'd mentioned it at the time.

Bed was very comfy and room was very clean. Staff were fantastic very very kind and accommodating. Transport into the main city was 5 min and the walk was very nice also. Close to the museum district.

Lots of stairs to our room but that was good for our exercise haha just a little tricky with big bags so be mindful if travelling with lots of bags and if they are heavy.

The receptionist Victoria was super helpful and welcoming. She really took her time helping us get to know the city and gave great recommendations! She even gave us a room with a garden because we had a dog, really appreciated that kind gesture. Thank you. The hotel was comfortable and had great location. Close to the tram and overall I would rate it 8/10. Super!

The room was a little dark for my liking, some brighter lights would be nice. The bathroom had a bit of a BO smell however it wasn’t too bad. Overall, I think it’s worth staying here and I would stay again despite that.

Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location but close to museums and restaurants, tram to city centre right outside, and bus to airport 5 mins walk. We had a lovely spacious top floor room at the back, very quiet, with a beautiful view and a small patio. Excellent breakfast (including fresh orange juice), free tea or coffee all day. Very good value for Amsterdam. 2 great restaurants within 100m: De Pizzabakkers, and Batoni Khinkali (Georgian).

Steep stairs could be a problem for some, but typical of old Amsterdam buildings. Pillows were a bit lumpy. The only noise came from the heating system if you set the radiator thermostat anywhere but fully on or off! But easily solved.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming especially Rashida who always had a big smile on her face whatever the time of day. The breakfast was great with lots of choice, continental and cooked English. We especially liked the free tea or coffee which was always available. The hotel is ideally located on tram line number 2.

The standard of room service one day we weren’t left enough towels the next day our room wasn’t serviced at all. We were on the third floor, that’s three flights of narrow steep stairs if you’re less mobile request a room on the first floor!
