beautiful location and building is amazing. 1 guy that deserves a bonus is a black guy who does the night shift. he’s the absolute best worker and I’m 100% coming back to this hotel hoping that he is there! top top service from him and he understands what it means to give great customer service!

staff was all great apart from one person. I didn’t manage to get her name but an older white lady was very rude to my friend. we all paid for a double bed and 2 of got a double but one just got 2 singles. and when my friend asked if she can be moved, this lady was very very rude for no reason. she deserves to be sacked immediately! she seemed very bitter for no reason

Location was ideal, multiple trams, trains and buses that get you into the centre of Amsterdam in minutes. Also there is a direct line to the airport which only takes 20 minutes. Rooms were spacious and clean. Very were comfortable beds. Staff were also quite friendly and helpful.

My only complaint would be that check-in/out is done on machines, so you do the whole process yourself, key cards, etc, which I didn't like. I prefer to deal with a human. Due to this, I was charged an extra €10, I had no option to get this sorted as the machine had its step by step procedure. I know it's only €10 but I was given a price by booking.com when I booked the hotel, and that's not the price I end up paying.

We travelled with my family so we booked two rooms next to each other. Both rooms were non-smokers which we liked, and they were very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was definitely worth it - lots of choices, especially also for vegetarians. The rooms were really quiet, which we appreciated. The metro station and the train station are both 3 minutes walking from the hotel - highly recommend this location because it takes you really fast to the center.

We travelled by personal car and we've parked on the street in front of the hotel which is free during Sat-Sun, compared to the 27 euro / day at the hotel - which is already too much given that the price for the room was already 250+, they could have at least include the parking.. For me, personally, I had a 'shock' with the bathroom door. It is kind of transparent and along the sides there is an empty space which you could see directly inside the bathroom. The window in the room could not open and the air ventilation was not great. Even though I was with my life partner, I felt that there is no intimate space in the bathroom, so be mindful about that if you are not comfortable with being out in the open while using the toilet ahahhaha

Honestly, everything was exceptional apart from the broken makeup bottle and the questionable state of the sink.

Whoever came in the room broke an expensive glass bottle of makeup and left it on the floor in the bathroom. And we came back to a blocked sink, that wasn't as clean when we left, with a cup randomly placed in there.

Room was clean and spacious. Location was good, handy to train station to get into town easily. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from and reasonably priced.

A really big house at Sloterdijk station. 25 minutes walk to the Gashouder Westerplein, which was the reason I came for. I got a quiet room in an upper floor like requested and it was really quiet. Safe, fridge, nice shower, space to sit, kettle. Nice space view to the station. Self check in worked well.

The double bed was two beds, that‘s not what I booked. And the mattress was sagging so I had to sleep in the gap. Very uncomfortable. Everything is a bid aged. Self check out worked but a very rude lady at the desk told me I had to check out with her. She was so unfriendly, so that’s my last impression of a mostly nice stay. It‘s a pity.

I loved the breakfast as there is so much variety to help yourself and you could keep coming back for as much as you wanted so it’s very good price. Also if you had a query with the room you can go back to reception and they usually help sort it out very quickly.

I hated the check-in wait time at the reception area, you could only check in from 3pm on the day. There was a big long queue, and we had to wait ages and then we went to the fast track signing check in desk which she could do yourself with a little help from the staff. Unfortunately they wanted to charge me €140, but they did not tell me what it was for when I asked, but I did find out eventually that it was a pre-authorisation for breakfast that we did already paid upfront anyway, and it was all sorted by the end of our stay and got refunded. Once we got in the room they had given us a double bed and we specified two single beds on the booking, so I had to come all the way down to reception and queue up again to get them to change it which I wasn’t very happy about.

I got a genius upgrade so the room was bigger than expected. There was a fridge, a kettle and a corner seat with a small adjustable table. I had to do a bit of work so thay was good. The hotel is a 5min walk from the Westerdijk train station and there is a supermarket right around the corner from the station with cheap fresh coffee and fresh food including salads. The train is only 10mins to Amsterdam Central and it's about 30mins on the metro. There is a gym but I didn't use it.

The location is not bad but it's not city centre. I didn't mind it as I only had to go into town once daily. You won't be able to "just nip back" to the hotel.
