Perfect value for money ratio. The location was close to both train and bus stations. The room was small, but we just stayed nights there, so it was passable. I liked that there was a kitchen there, so we could fix our favorite coffee, breakfast, and a cup of tea in the evenings; it's very convenient when traveling with the kids. The hotel was full, and all public space was always busy, so this is not the best choice for those looking for a quiet place to relax, but young people and families with kids will appreciate the facilities and easy access to the city.

The reception people should mention to the guests (especially when asked about this directly) that the fastest access to the city is by train, not by metro or bus. Unfortunately, we purchased our 3-day metro pass for the whole family and then learned that we would go a 40+min long way around instead of 10+ min trip with the pass we've got.

Excellent hotel for families. Fantastic location, exit Sloterdijk station, look to your left and the hotel is right there! Clean, spacious family rooms with towels and toiletries included. Breakfast was great, lots of cereals, fruit, yogurt, bread, crackers, cheese, meat, mini pancakes, porridge, juices and coffee to choose from. The bar was nice, serving drinks, pizza and snacks. The kids enjoyed the retro arcade games too. The little self service (card only) shop next to the bar was very handy for snacks & drinks when returning from the city at night. There's also a bar/bistro, Starbucks, bakery and a mini supermarket within 5mins walk of the hotel. We will definitely be returning next year! :)

Lobby belongs in a museum. There are so many facilities both inside the hotel and right beside it (Spar, Sloterdijk train station, etc.). Parking is inexpensive and simple. Staff are available and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and convenient.

Some minor maintenance related issues were present in the room that we discovered a couple of days in (they were quickly resolved when reported). It's great that cleaning and towel replacement is only on demand, but resupplying certain items like toilet paper should still happen automatically and through room service.

The beds and linen were soooo comfy. It was amazing to sleep every single night! The other thing that works super well is the lift, we wouldn’t wait more than 10s to be served. Really really good! The storage on the bedroom is also good, works well in a group dynamic. The location is alright.. it’s not too close to city center, but a train/sprinter/bus station is 1min far from the hostel (you can reach Amsterdam Central station in 5min by train).

The kitchen menu does not have vegan options. Another thing regarding eating is that I miss an air fryer on the kitchen.

The location is very good. You just take a train 1 min from the hotel and you are in the city main train station in 5 min from where you can walk to the city center, museums and other The staff is very polite, good and answers to any of the needs we had. Very helpful There are all the facilities you need, a gaming area if you wan to play, as well as self service citchen and washing machine. The bar is open till late and you can even order something to eat at late hours

One of the nights some very unpolite people next room started talking loudly at 5AM. The issue is that the walls were so thin that seemed ypu have them in your room. This is the only bad note i can relate and that disturbed us.

I was absolutely blown away by the beauty and ambience of this hotel! The reception staff were incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and were always ready to assist. My room was spotless, equipped with four towels, and offered a stunning city view. The hotel also features a guest kitchen, which is perfect for preparing meals or using the microwave when needed. Its location is fantastic—just a 2-minute walk to the train station and only a 5-minute train ride with one stop to Amsterdam Central. I definitely recommend this hotel. All in all, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I would absolutely stay here again!

The staff was lovely, they were really helpful and kind. Yhe loby area is wonderful and full of life ypu don’t need to leave the otel in order to socialize. Rooms were clean and spacious. The accommodation was PERFECT just 5 minutes to train, tram and bus stations which is really helpful for people who want to see the city. Just one stop away from Amsterdam Central. It has a kitchen where everyone can cook and it is getting used all the time, good for solo travellers. All on all it was great.

Even though breakfast was grand and good there weren’t many options as to people who are customed to eat different things, it was a bit westernized for example there was only one cheese kind and so.

This is actually a hostel but it also offers separate rooms. I was staying in a one bed room. It was the smallest room I have ever seen, but I did not expect anything fancy and it was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple and ok. You can use a kitchen and washer/dryer if you need it, which is great.

It is a bit far from the city center, but there is a station right next to the hotel, so you can hop on a train and get everywhere. My only bad experience were the elevators. There were three, but only one worked for the entire time of my stay. This means you sometimes had to wait for the elevator for quite a while (and my room was on the 7 floor... so stairs was not always a good option)

The room was great, bathroom very clean - our room had a sepaarte room for the toilet and a sepaarte one for the shower. The room was meant for 4 people, with a double bed and a bunk bed to the side. But overall plenty spacious and very clean. :) Check-in and staff were great, reception area offers a mini groceries store in case you need a few additional things to purchase, some lovely coffee spots and general hang out area. This would be a great place for a group of friends to stay at, everyone seemed delightful.

The overall area where the hotel is located isn't very exciting to be in. Not much to do or see if you only have an afternoon to spend there.

Absolutely the perfect location for us arriving after a very long flight from Australia. We came in to Slotergjik by train from the airport, the Hotel is literally just outside the train station, our room was small but clean and comfortable, the buffet breakfast was great, we stored our luggage at ‘Bounce’ within the Hotel and then wandered around the corner to pick up the Flix Bus to Bruges. The staff who greeted us in the evening and those who assisted us in the morning at the reception desk and at breakfast were very helpful and absolutely delightful! Just a perfect location for our travel plans. We loved staying at the Meininger Hotel!
