We booked the two double rooms in this property- one for me and my husband and the other for friends. We were competing in the Amsterdam Marathon and Half Marathon. We were really pleased with our choice. The value for money was great and the area was really quiet and safe and only about 10k from the city centre and the airport. The room facilities were great- the bed was very comfy and we had a large shower and bathroom. The tram stop was a ten min walk away and links to the Metro. There is also a very large and well stocked supermarket by the tram stop, and a bakery etc. All in all a great place to stay and we enjoyed meeting the owner. We went out to dinner each night- first to a Chinese, then a fast food place nearby and on the last night a really great restaurant. There is quite a choice- they are all a good 15 min walk away. We felt very safe walking there in the dark.

Because the rooms are in a private house, you do need to go through their lounge to get to them and the stairs are quite steep (not that it was a problem for us) The owner and people living their are really lovely and helpful and friendly and didn't mind us coming and going (we left at 4.15am for the airport!) They have dogs- which again we don't mind as we love dogs- but if you aren't an animal lover, you might want to bear it in mind.

Both rooms were great, we had everything we needed. There was even a fridge, plates, etc. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable! Loes (the host) was very kind and helpful. The neighbourhood was calm and we had a great view on the canal.

It wasn't a problem for us at all, but keep in mind that the tram station is 10-15 minute walk from the property. It is a noce walk tho!

fabulous few days away in a great apartment. such a fantastic view from our 2nd floor room over the canal and toward the windmill. Loes has thought of everything to make her place as welcoming and comfortable as possible. thank you for looking after us.

Thank you for some really nice days! We felt very welcomed and happy to have stayed at "sleep at slim". Calm and quiet area not long to get into town, for us this was perfect :)

Loes was very accommodating and hospitable. Enjoyed been able to get advice and assistance from her.

It was just a room with en-suite. You couldn't sit outside anywhere. Especially for a longer stay. But fir a short stay it is perfect.

Beautiful room that's near enough to bus and tram services for central Amsterdam, but far enough away to be peaceful at all hours. Loes is an exceptional host, very friendly and knowledgeable.

The nicest landlady! Great hospitality and comfortable place to stay. If you want to discover the city, not only the night life, you can stay here and enjoy the area.

Amazing design, perfect location, it has everything that you may need. The bed is big and super comfortable. Loes is very nice and hospitable.
