The hotel is truly beautiful and classically Dutch in style. I loved the historical features of the building combined with the contemporary interiors. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was extremely comfortable and quiet. We loved the breakfast which was excellent value, and the drinks in the lovely courtyard in the evening. The location is excellent for exploring Amsterdam and we hope to stay again one day!

Possibly a better quality hairdryer and coffee from a proper coffee machine rather than a Nespresso coffee.

Excellent location in the 9 Streets area, very helpful reception staff, very nice bar and communal areas and very nicely designed.

The hotel’s rooms located in the attic are relatively generously sized but don’t feel very luxurious - e.g. the bed was up against a window with no headboard to be able to sit up in. The hotel bar is very nice, but the service wasn’t very good - one evening, no staff came to take a drinks order despite waiting for about 20 minutes and trying to get staff members’ attention. There was a private reception being held that evening and the staff couldn’t cope with that and service for other hotel guests in the bar and restaurant - whilst understandably busy for the staff, you would expect better service levels from such a leading hotel.

There was NOTHING not to like. And I loved room 11 even more. A room with a built in exercise stairway is so rare. And beyond that the challenge of the ascent, and thrill of going down. Believe me, I really mean it. That said, let me add that when I get home this evening, I will tell my wife...who did not accompany me...to pack her bags so that we may fly back to Amsterdam tomorrow, just to stay at the Dylan. But I really must restrain myself lest whoever reads this will think me but hot air hyperbole.

There was absolutely NOTHING I didn't like. But let me add, for they were so exceptional, the quality of your staff. Gorgeous every one, attentive, fun, brilliantly welcoming.

The location and Beauty of the hotel lovely ! Our room was beautiful aesthetically but sadly absent of all functionality. We had dinner and drinks in the bar resturant which was fabulous !!!

I wouldn’t stay in a duplex bathroom upper again . It was challenging . No mirror in dressing area lower level Lights upper loft not working getting ready in the dark. Outlet issue only one in full upper area ??? Windows had shades but if drawn couldn’t see - if open have no privacy . Pillows were not comfortable This room was a considerable upgrade and I was disappointed as the value for dollar just wasn’t there. Ordered flowers in the suite for 50 euro and they were a basic corner bought bouquet you can get at the market for 15 euro - it wasn’t an arrangement just cut flowers in a massive vase .

slow service at the restaurant for breakfast. we chose to eat there since we had morning plans, it opened at 7am, and many breakfast places in Amsterdam don’t open until 8:30 or later. to be fair it was a computer issue where our order wasn’t transmitted from the wait desk to the kitchen. also we are American so we eat fast and are impatient by nature I guess. at any rate the food was great.

The hotels location is fabulous. The staff go above and beyond in terms of providing help and advice. (it feels like they read your mind they are so responsive). Food in the restaurant was great, serve impeccable and the quality was good. Breakfast could do with a few 'hot' foods but was very good and certainly more than satisfactory.

Only very minor complaint (and it's a personal one). I like a harder pillow and their was no easy pillow option.

The staff were all exceptional. The cocktails at the bar were a highlight, as was the breakfast! Very, very good. Dinner was also outstanding. The quality of the bikes we rented were very good . We appreciated being able to change and use the bikes prior to the usual check-in time! The location was perfect. It was very quiet, and having access to the garden to sit outside on a sunny day was lovely.

I paid 90 euros for a massage, and the room was freezing cold. I did mention this to the manager, thinking they may have reduced the price or perhaps a ? complimentary drink at the bar...but nothing was done. The 'superior double rooms' were quite average and simply adequate, and definitely did not meet my expectations, given the cost of the rooms, or match what I had come to expect from the website. In the future, I will ask for a very specific room.

The room was first class. We liked everything about this gem of a hotel. The staff were first class along with all the facilities. The restaurant was a complete must. We have eaten in the worlds best and this is right up there. You must eat in when staying at the Dylan.....

Car parking but I suppose if you are in Amsterdam it is always tricky. The hotel looked after my car and took away the problem. Another plus.

I loved the location, the charm, and the size of the rooms.

only thing that was tough, was arriving at 10am and having to wait until 3pm (completely exhausted from overnight flight) for our room to be ready. They were able to have our room ready by 2:30, but would be amazing if hotels had a way to deviate from standard check-in times to accommodate guests arriving from out of country.

The hotel was in a wonderful neighbourhood, elegant, stylish and had a very historic feel. the staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was on two levels and lovely and bright. i appreciated the Aesop products too. I also liked the lounge area with the fire. The restaurant was very good, although I didn’t get to try the Michelin star one as it was booked.

I possibly would have liked the bikes to be complimentary, but I had to think card or something I didn’t like.
