Room and Location was excellent.

Maybe the price was a bit more than expected for that level of hotel. Also because I booked throuhgh Booking.com it was hard to manage any changes to the bookings on site and also as we were traveling as a group by I was paying for everything that became an issue as we booked through Booking.com

Our room was a let down. Very cramped, we booked a city view which was a very small window facing some air conditioning units. The room layout was bizarre. The shower felt like a cupboard and left me feeling claustrophobic. Was very much looking forward to my stay but the room left me feeling disappointed

The suite was lovely and intimate in terms of aesthetics. The reception staff was very helpful and gave me a nice gift as I left. They made it nice as it was for my anniversary and provided Prosecco and a lovely heart chocolate & card.

Not a fan of the shower in the room as it was small for a suite. There was nowhere to hang towels. The check in and out staff was not the best and a little rude. The in room dining charged for delivery which I have never seen at a hotel before. The lighting in the room wasn’t the best and for a suite it wasn’t greatly noise insulated as I could hear other people talking outside and slamming doors. The upstairs TV had no connection to chrome cast and could only watch normal tv which was annoying as the downstairs one worked perfectly. The iPad in the room was pointless as it did not work and had a date on it from 2007.

The hotels location was fantastic, right in the centre of all the action - so great if you plan to join in the nightlife. Facilities were awesome, everything you'd want or need in your room was there. Breakfast was excellent, get one item from the a la carte and a help yourself buffet. Stayed in the W Barcelona a couple of weeks prior to this stay, and both these hotels have really set a high bar - my hotel of choice going forward !

The reception / check-in area was a bit cramped. Also - the lifts were really slow, and at times had a queue. Luckily we were only a couple of floors up, so just took the stairs.

The hotels biggest asset is without doubt its wonderful staff. Its location and spa facilities are very good and I would highly recommend the breakfast. The outdoor pool is pretty spectacular too.

We stayed over Christmas and I feel that given the overall cost - £3,000 for 4 nights - there were no little extras to make it feel special or Christmassy. Our room was nice, but you have to pay for the most expensive room if you want a bath. The shower in our room wasn’t very practical either. It’s just a shower cubicle with nowhere to get dressed other than in the main bedroom and there are no hooks to hang damp towels or robes.

Check in desk seemed understaffed - had to wait for nearly 30m to speak to someone.

Everything was nice and clean, staff were very serviceminded. This will be on my top3 hotel priority list when in amsterdam.

Minor thing. We ordered the room with a canal view, which there was. However the outer pane of glass was foggy so it wasnt a clear view. The windows cannot be opened so there was no way to remove the fog/condensation. This was a very minor thing though, and it didnt take away from the experience as a whole because everything else was superb.

The location was excellent close to all the touristy things, the hotel has a couple of great restaurants but make sure you book ahead particularly with the steak restaurant. The Michelin restaurant were very obliging on short notice.

The check in and checkout experience was not good especially having to wait 30 minutes to check-in, we tried to book the Steak restaurant but dont think the staff even cared that we were staying in house but we did get in

The location was excellent, the staff at the front desk were friendly, and I would like to specially thank Anastisia, the front desk manager who looked after us during our stay. They even sent us cake and chocolate to the room as it was our anniversary. The restaurant Mr. Porter is amazing, the best steak I ever tasted. The bed was very comfortable as well.

The jacuzzi was not working at the spa
