The room was very comfortable, including a huge bed, 2 comfortable chairs, a small dining table and basic appliances (small refrigerator, espresso machine, kettle, etc.). We bought some bread, cheese, spreads and vegetables and were able to have decent breakfast at the apartment before getting out to the city every morning. I do recommend adding some more food (e.g., a plate of cheese and more spreads), on top of the crackers, chocolate spread, jam and honey that were provided. Location is the best! Everything is 5-20 minutes walk, including the Central Station. We haven't used any transportation other than the train from Schipol to the city and back. And at the same time, it is very very quiet during day and night! Nanda, the owner, was lovely and very communicative, and we were grateful and moved for her lovely gesture for our 25th anniversary.

When booking, we managed to miss the fact that the room we chose (the double room) does not have a view to the canal (as opposed to the studio). It is defined as "city view", but the view was mainly of some rooftops and chimneys. This was a bit dissapointing but it's really a small thing compared to the huge advantages of the property. Another thing was the stairs - it was very clear when booking, we managed to climb up and down twice a day, and of course it is very personal, but for those who might struggle with stairs it might be very challenging (4th floor, stairs narrow and steep).

It was a nice room with lovely snacks provided. The location was very good and the host was friendly. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped, and the bedroom was a good size. Good information was provided about nearby amenities and shops.

I felt perhaps that it was a little pricey for what it was - it was up four flights of stairs and the first two floors were a little tired and run down. It was simply a room in a guest house - I would've expected more of a serviced guest house/hotel for the money paid.

Nanda was great, very responsive and provided plenty of information from the very start. The location is excellent, very close to Rembrandtplein and from a walking distance of the old city center and even the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, if you like to walk a bit more. The room is spacious (we were positively surprised! there's enough room to place your suitcases and they won't be in the way) and it's well equipped -- Nanda provides coffee capsules and tea sachets so you can give your day a cozy, warm start or finish. The shower is good, the bed is huge!

I think the only suggestion I could give is maybe replacing the shower curtain with a door.

The view is fantastic, the location is perfect, very central and close to public transportation. The room is very cozy and spacious. The facilities are great, beautiful bathroom, and everything was really clean. The host provided snacks/coffee/tea and great recommendations for excellent nearby breakfast places and restaurants. Highly recommend this place, we cannot wait to come back when we are in Amsterdam again.

The host is really clear about this beforehand and it was absolutely no problem for us, but there are a lot of stairs which may be challenging for some.

Nanda was an excellent host and helped make our stay great. Responsive and friendly and couldn’t ask for more. Location was awesome. Room was clean and as described. Comfy bed and nice shower.

Stairs were steep but we were prepared. No local tv - only Netflix. So for anyone who likes to watch local television this is not possible which was a shame for us. But a very minor thing

Fantastic location on a canal with really nice bedroom with a great big king bed plus a good bathroom. our room was located at top of traditional canal house with some city views. Our host was extremely helpful and organised assistance to get our heavy luggage up the 4 flights of stairs. Snacks and tea and coffee provided. Thank you Nanda 😁

Downstairs is undergoing renovation, so our first impression of the interior to the property was not positive. The stairs are tricky with heavy luggage.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything, lovely view from window, cafes and restaurants within minutes and the room had everything we needed. Nanda was a great host, providing snacks and good instructions.

They weren't a problem for us but the room is on the 4th floor of a canal house with narrow stairs and no lift so bookers need to be aware of this. But this is Amsterdam and lots of properties arexsimilar

The room was just as expected, easy to find the key and was able to check in early/ leave our luggage on our last day until our late train home. The room was clean and snacks/ tea/ coffee was available to us. Location was excellent. Great communication with the host.

There was construction downstairs where we heard a slight bit of noise but not too disturbing. The staircase was a bit dusty from the construction, but nothing that couldn't be helped.

I love the room, very nice decore , very nice complimentary coffee, chocolate and snacks. The host is very accomodating and kind. Location is very good and easy to find. Nice restuarent around the place.

Stairs are steep which is typical for Amsterdam. When I was there the renovation is just finished so there is a scaffolding blocking the window view.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Very clean, comfy, you can find everything you need. Great location. Nice rooftop view. Quite a few nice breakfast places and restaurants around.

Doors could be thicker you can hear through it. It helps a lot that you have just one neighbour. Windows are very old. One was working fine, but another one was a lot of hassle to close and open. To reach an apartment you should climb steep and narrow stairs. It was no biggie for us, but if you come with big luggage or you have other problems take that in consideration.
