The location was absolutely perfect and the views from the room too. They even had a little gift for my friend's birthday in the room which was such a nice touch and much appreciated. Staff were very friendly, especially the Lithuanian girl. We are looking to come back regularly and I think this will be the hotel we'll always look for first when considering our stays in Amsterdam.

This is no way a dissatisfaction, but a hairdryer, kettle/tea/coffee and cups/glasses in the room would have been nice but it didn't take away from the good experience. The TV channels didn't all work either, either bad signal or cable, gliychy, some only had sound so didnt have much choice, but we don't go on holiday to watch TV so it doesn't matter, these are just some things that COULD be better and not what we didn't like.

This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a cheap accomodation to visit Amsterdam. The location is perfect, it is very close to the city centre (10/15 min by walk). In the same square of the hotel you can find a lot of places to eat and to have breakfast, and also a nice coffee shop. My room was very large, but the furniture is not very good. The bed was comfortable indeed. The bathroom is shared with the other rooms, but it's really big, and the shower was perfect. The cleaning service is acceptable. The staff is really kind and always available. There is no chance to have lunch or breakfast in this hotel. In the end i reccomend it 👍🏼

Great location, near the square full of cafes and clubs. The room was more than enough for our 1 night stay. I have read a lot of negative reviews regarding breakfast, but for us, the breakfast was more than enough. Bread, different kinds of spreads, eggs, muffins, butter, ham, cheese, fruits, yoghurts and different kind of warm and cold drinks. We could leave our bags there before the official check in time.

The hotel is outdated. The furniture in the rooms was mostly old and damaged.

I really liked how nice the staff was and that they cared whether or not you were having a good experience. Felt very welcome at this hotel! The location is most definitely the best thing about this. I love Rembrandtplein, so this is THE best location I've ever been in.

Unfortunately, we had loud neighbors next door on the first day, but there's not much the hotel can do about it. At least it was only one day.

Can't beat the location, a jaunty walk away from the Centraal station. It was also cool to see the inside of an old building in the historic part of Amsterdam, and to get the vibes of a European hotel from the second half of the twentieth century.

The other reviews were quite helpful as preparation: additional city tourist tax, rather large safety deposit, many steep steps to climb. But knowing all of these things in advance, the stay was quite pleasant.

Spotlessly clean room and facilities, very comfortable beds, friendly staff. For that price range, in that location , its unbeatable value for money. I would highly recommend City Hotel.

There was nothing my friends and I didn't like about our stay in City Hotel, it exceeded our expectations.

The location was excellent if you wanna to have a drink right near John Doe and other bars, Smokey’s coffee shop 2 doors down the guy in there is sound aswel makes a nice coffee

The fact I had to leave the key and buzz to get in never dun that before and it was pickling when I was so stoned

Perfect location right on the square with everything you need all around you

I'm not the smallest person but we found the beds to be abit small for us and a little bit of noise comes through from the square but that's it didn't effect our holiday

For the price and the location, you literally cannot ask for anything better for exploring Amsterdam on a trip. The beds were comfortable, the staff were nothing but polite and helpful and accommodating, lovely views from our room. It was the foundations for a great getaway
