Brilliant hotel! Amazing location. Reasonably good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shared bathroom situation wasn't a problem there's 2 showers and 2 toilets just outside your door and were kept clean. Everything is around you and within 15 minutes walking distance (max) coffeeshop downstairs is cool. Great for anyone looking for a cheap stay in the center of Amsterdam.

The only thing I didn't like was the sound coming from the nightclub downstairs until 3am. But after a visit to the coffeeshop, sleeping was not a problem.

I like that the hotel is a third of the price of other hotels in this very central area of Amsterdam. We only use our room to sleep and spend the days at museums, cafés, riding bicycles, etc. we had a lovely room overlooking Rembrandt Square. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night and people partied in the Square all night long until about 6 AM. This did not bother us at all because we had spent the days riding bicycles walking and are not sensitive to noise. We also had the option to use ear plugs that were provided at the front desk. We never heard other guests in the hotel while we were there the bathrooms and our room were both very clean. This is a very budget option in terms of amenities but met our needs perfectly.

There are many stairs to get up to the rooms, so would not be an ideal choice for anybody with mobility issues

First of all, you need to understand what you are looking for. We were a group of men out for a good time, so the hotel's location just off the noisy square and just above the disco bar was perfectly fine. We really appreciated the walkability to wherever we decided to go. The bed has a softer mattress and I absolutely loved it. The communal showers were cleaned regularly, however it was a shame that shower gel was not replenished. The price performance ratio was the best in the time in which I was looking for a room for 3 people.

only problem we had on our trip was the loud music from the nightclubs around the square, but the hotel offers earplugs to help.

This was my second time here because I enjoyed it so much the first time for the comfy beds, reasonably affordable and great location. This time around was even better! The coffee and biscuits were awesome and the beds were even more comfy! The fan helped a lot also for the hot weather. The staff are always friendly, helpful and there if you need anything. Absolutely love this place!

Unfortunately no options for breakfast at the hotel since covid times ☹

Couldn't have asked for more from this little hotel!! Excellent location, comfy bed, clean bathroom and friendly staff!! Bathroom is shared between only 2 rooms so never had to wait for it. Tea/coffee facilities, microwave and fridge in communal room by reception and reception is manned 24/7 so no curfew. Rooms 11 and 12 are right above the coffeeshop/nightclub so if you're a light sleeper maybe request a different room but the noise didn't bother me even with window open. My flight was hours after checkout so was allowed to leave my bag at reception for the day, all the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam!!!

The only downside we found during our stay was the quality of the coffee in the lobby. While it's great that it's offered for free, we were disappointed to find that it wasn't of the best quality. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise great stay.

Located above the coffee shop which was really good. It was also a 10-15 minute walk from the attractions we wanted to see (City centre, shopping, Ripley’s, Red light district, Van Gogh museum). The walks also didn’t feel that long due to the beauty of the city.

The extremely steep stairs, however with the way the buildings are made in Amsterdam we are aware the stairs have to be built that way. With cafe below the music can be loud during the night. We stayed Monday-Friday so it was fine during the week, it did start picking up Thursday and Friday.

Great location. View is perfect trough big window. Having a small sink in the room is convinient. Warm room at freezing winter. Hot water and wifi works fine. Clean room and beds. Rooms are above one the most crowded coffee shop in the city but still there is no smell in the room.

Wc is not comfortable at all, missing soap and paper etc... interesting closet; positioned too high, you need to be taller than >2.0m if want to seat on that closet properly :) . You should expect unlimited street noise even weekdays untill 5am due to thin windows with no isolation.... or use earplugs which can be taken from reception.

Location is great. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. Free coffee in the morning next reception. I only downgrade the price because Amsterdam in genera now is very expensive and a few years this budget hotel would have been half the price. Staff very nice. A good budget hotel.

Although I knew in advance, it is in a late-night noisy square. I always travel with ear-plugs so no problem…and they do have them for free on Reception. If you are okay with that then it is fine in all other respects.
