They take security and safety seriously, main door always requiring card entry, glad they had an elevator. Loved the lobby and guest area. Best tasting coffee from their automatic machine. Fast wifi

Air conditioner was rather weak. It was a really warm weekend and our room took a long time to cool down each evening. Keep in mind there is a large night club venue directly behind and there was loud music thumping through to our room for 3 of our 4 nights. The music begins at midnight and stops after 5am. It’s rather loud and staff can’t do anything about it.

Pretty good value and close to the city centre, really nice view from the room, bathroom seemed to be brand new, comfortable bed, and windows properly insulated any sound from the street. Read other reviews and spoke to someone complaining about noise from a nightclub next door, but I didn't hear anything and slept great. Cheapest hotel I could find near the centre, definitely the best option if you don't want to stay in a hostel.

Some dirt on top of shelves and on skirting, not a huge deal. Suspect that the glasses were cleaned with cloths rather than really cleaned, there was dust in them. Room was a little smaller than pictures made it seem. Again none of this was a big deal considering the value and how good everything else was, suited our needs just fine.

Amazing location! we literally didn't use any transportation - everything is in walking distance. Nice lobby with free water coffee/tea and comfy waiting area. Clean spacious room, renovated bathroom.

- the AC is not working when you are outside (connected to electricity which is gone the moment you remove the access card) so room gets really warm in a sunny day while you are away - the room facing backyard so dont expect any view - not for light sleepers as there is a night club next door with really loud music till early morning

Great hotel in the center of Amsterdam with 20 min walking distance both from the Central station and the Van gogh/Rijksmuseum. The area is a hotspot for partying/shopping and many more museums are close by. We were wary about the reviews warning us about noise, but the comedy club next door was closed during our stay so no issues there. However, there is a big popular night club in the building behind the hotel, and faint noise/mostly base could be heard between 23-03, but it was not any real issue for us - mid 20s.

the location is absolutely superb, you’re only a short walk from most things in Amsterdam and you’re located right beside a tram stop as well. you are also right in the Rembrandt square so food, drinks you name it it’s beside you.

the only problem I have with the hotel is the noise. it is not the fault of the hotel as you are in the city centre and with all of the nightclubs around you will be hearing banging and the bass. I just bought a pair of ear plugs and I was sweet. I would recommend the hotel to actually supply the ear plugs as they know it will be busy.

We were very happy with this place. The location is perfect, the room wasn't huge but new, comfortable and super clean as was the bathroom. They have free grounded coffee downstairs which was a big plus for us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. At the beginning I was worried about the reviews talking about the noise coming from the club nearby but, honestly, the music wasn't loud at all and we slept very well. I would really recommend Hotel Oscar and not only cause of the convenient price.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is very near the main tourist attractions as well as the Amsterdam Central Station, and there are many places to eat nearby. There is also a supermarket close to the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

At night you can hear the music from a club nearby, but it was not that bad. Also, many of the channels of the TV did not work.

The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. We could walk anywhere and we did :) It is also conveniently located close to shops and most means of public transport. The hotel is beautiful and our room was comfortable and modern. There is an elevator to carry bags up to the rooms and a coffee machine downstairs for guests with a lovely blend of coffee beans. The front desk receptionist was so helpful and kind to us during our whole stay- he was always willing to answered all our questions about the area. He also offered to store our bags after checkout. Also, the hotel was not as big so there was not too much movement and noise. Such a kind man! Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel :)

The room itself was a bit small, but it is understandable for the area as Amsterdam is not known for large rooms and spaces. It didn't detract anything from our experience though :)

The room is spacious and clean. With comfortable bed and big and clean bathroom. We were 3 people and we had plenty of space for everyone. Great central location, close to several bars and restaurants and walking distance to most attractions. The staff was really helpful and friendly. They kept our suitcases after check-in that we could explore the city. They also offer free coffee and tea from a proper coffee machine which is appreciated in the morning. Great experience overall!

It was a little bit cold in the room when we arrived, but an air-com/heater is available.
