This hotel is in an excellent location. It was the first time we'd been to Amsterdam and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for our needs. It's easy to get to all the things this fabulous city offers, Canal rides, Anne Frank House, museums,. All in walking distance. We even walked to the artis zoo which is amazing and highly recommended if you love nature. Central Station is an 18 minute walk if your not too loaded up but easily accessible by tram or underground and then linked to airport so no problem at all to get to. This hotel is not the Ritz and our room was quite dated and the shower room needs modernising but it was spotless clean and cleaned every with crisp white sheets and towels, the shower was small but excellent and oh my goodness the view from our bedroom was just made it so special for us. Thank you to the staff you were so helpful and kind allowing us to leave our cases for longer as our flight was delayed. We absolutely love Amsterdam and will be back!

Amazing location! The hotel was walking distance to all major attractions, shops and cafes. We were lucky enough to get a canal view which was stunning to wake up to.

It wasn’t very clean and we found some bed bugs in our room which made it uncomfortable for us to sleep there. We informed management right away and they were very apologetic.

The staff and service is especially good and will help with anything you will need, and the location of the hotel is perfect for any tourist purposes. view from the rooms is beautiful and the rooms didn't lack any amenities expected from a modern hotel

the place could be slightly renovated in terms of some closet being too vintage to be practical and fear of damaging certain parts of the room, not suitable for large families or friend groups, best for couples and small families

The cozy hotel is very well located, right in Amsterdan city center. The room has a beautiful view over the channels. The room is narrow but confortable. The breakfast is very good, in such a nice room that maked us feel at home. The expresso coffee one of the best in Amsterdam. Ronald is very friendly and contributed to the cozy atmosphere of the hotel.

Its a very cute authentic boutique hotel, quite like the old world charm that they have maintained while tastefully & modernly decorated. The room size is quite decent compared to other hotels. The location is also perfect to explore amsterdam old town by foot. The canal view room really gives the great vibe of the city.

Owner was exceptionally helpful. We had a huge room for a city, almost like an apartment, in separate annex over looking canals. Convenient for accessing city centre. It is essentially a country style B&B in the heart of the city, even with a friendly local heron at breakfast. If you like that style this is a gem. There are good cafes and a deli nearby.

We were not in main hotel so cannot comment on those rooms, but the street outside the annex is a city thoroughfare, so is noisy at night. That is fault of thoughtless people not the hotel! If you seek a chain style or quiet room with more facilities this would not be for you.

The most beautifully located and styled room. Full length double doors, along the length of this upper floor room, which opened to give a canal view. Large room in annex part of the building so you have your own door key for private access. The room was exceptionally large with a lush corner filling plant, double bed yet with 2 single matresses and quilts allows for real comfort and a good sleep. The ensuite was massive and well equipped with a shower, w/c, sink and bidet as well as the longest bath I have ever been in. Nice selection of bathrrom products. Superb location for accessing all of the city centre activities, sights and sounds yet slept in silence once back in the room.

There are aspects of the room that are showing their age with poorly tackled maintenance and repair jobs having been undertaken. There was a poorly repaired water damage section to the bathroom ceiling and poor quality execution on the silicon sealer job around the riles at the bath which cheapens what shoudl be an outstanding room. It would not take long or be that expensive to correct these matters.

Owner was very hospitable, friendly and funny. The breakfast setup was lovely and the dining area was cosy and cute. The room was idyllic with lovely big opening windows and an incredible view over the canal.

It was very hot when we visited and the small ceiling fan didn't really cut it - we had to sleep with our heads at the bottom end of the bed and have a window wide open whilst people smoked cigarettes and talked late into the night directly under it. Appreciate that aircon is expensive but it may be necessary for comfort as temperatures keep rising!

The reception at the hotel was very welcoming. We opted to have valet parking, and I left my phone in the car. The man looking after our car was kind enough to bring the phone back to me at the hotel, a journey out of his way. The room was of a reasonable size light warm and airy. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom very reasonable. We had our dog with us, and the hotelier paid him a lot of attention and allowed him everywhere in the hotel, including in the lovely dining room. Breakfast was cook your own and there was coffee and teas, cakes and pastries, ham, eggs, cheese, fruit, the works. As for location, it overlooks the river and could not be more central.

Given the price we paid there is nothing we didn't like about the hotel.
