the ceiling in the room was “unfinished” we were on the 3rd floor

Awesome location, very practically arranged room with all necessities, super functional, polite and helpful staff. I also appreciated the snack bar in the lobby with the shop to get things that we might forget like cables or an umbrella, really usefully stocked.

The duvet was way too warm in comparison to the climate we had and the interior temperature. I think it would be good to use it in January or so, but for September it was too much. The last two nights we turned on the AC, but it shouldn’t have been necessary if there was an extra, thin blanket or something similar.

Firstly, location is great - very close to the train station yet at some distance so there's no noise or crowds. Close to the centre too. The late check-in was smooth (someone came out to greet us), though in regular hours it's automated. There's a minimarket in the hotel with all necessities, useful if you crave a late night snack or drink. Genrally hotel was quiet and comfortable, rooms had necessities like nespresso machine and cleaning staff refilled the cartridges. Room had decent and easily controllable air conditioning.

The room quirkiness was uncomfortable - transparent shower door is OK-ish (shower and toilet are separate), though there was no hangers for the towels. But the only sink and a mirror located right in the room deprives of any privacy in daily rituals, which I find not crucial but quite annoying.

This hotel is in a very nice location, walking distance to trains and buses, but very quite. The facilities are new, clean. The bed is comfortable except the pillows are not our type, high and firm. Asked the front desk if we can have a bit softer pillows. The answer is they don't have another types of pillow. Over all, this is a very nice hotel to stay.

Pillow is too firm and there is no alternatives. Wish there were a few more hooks to hang the towels. The air-condition vent blows right to the bed, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to sleep, with the firm pillows. Hope they can install a cover to make the air blow downward instead of right to the face if you lay on the bed.

Excellent location, 5 min walk from Leiden Centraal! Clean room, friendly staff, comfortable double bed, mini fridge in the room, coffee and tea machine(capsules provided).

The pillows were very high and firm(personal opinion) and they made my neck hurt. I didn't like the fact that the heating is an aircondition; I find them antihygienic. Since the room is equipped with a coffee and tea machine, I think snacks should, also, be provided; after all, when you pay more than 100€/night, you shouldn't have to buy stuff from the mini market of the hotel.

AC! We were very happy in the heatwave. We also really like the room and how everything was designed to match.

The two parts of the double bed moved away from each other in the night...

Fabulous location over looking the city. Easy check in, the hotel had beautiful colours of purple which was very comforting. we really did enjoy our stay and it is right by the train station so was very accessible. The city itself is very much like a quiet Amsterdam, beautiful buildings and canals and plenty of places to go eat.

There was anything that we didn't like here, we enjoyed our stay and if ever back in Leiden will definitely like to book this hotel again.

Good large bed, comfortable room. Magazines to read in the reception and everything you need can be bought, snacks and emergency supplies like toothpaste, etc. Friendly and helpful reception. Excellent location close to the station and centre of town.

The online check-in- the numerous mails I got from both VIC and Booking.com never reflected the booking number and had wrong information, so we could not check in without assistance from the human at reception. The lift did not work on check out and we had to carry our suitcases down numerous flights of stairs. TV reception bad. After paying online, I still had to pay another €7 on check-in for some mysterious reason and this was promptly debited twice on my credit card.

the room is beautiful. the staff is doing their best to clean the room and serve us.

the Bath and the shower were not ventilated. the baddest thing was the DUST. at night with the light on you can see lots of large particles of dust. also even when we checked in the tables were clean after some hours they were full of dust. the problem seems to be related to the ventilation system inside the room that was pouring dust inside. as a person allergic to dust this can be pretty uncomfortable

The room has a modern design and offers everything one needs.

Call me old but I don't see the any advantages of not having a reception desk in a hotel - just two self check in/out desks. And then a tiny cheap desk behind the main door for a receptionist. I felt so bad for the receptionists and I think they deserve a proper reception. Please don't put them in the least windy corner with the additional heater next to their legs. For a hotel of such price range, both the guests and especially the receptionists deserve a proper entrance/workspace.
