Very friendly welcome to the hotel. People at the reception desk were very helpful and did answer all my questions. Check-in and check-out were easy once you have found a way to contact the reception desk for the check-in. Great location to visit Auckland and have quick access to the wharfs for the ferries to the Islands. Plenty of restaurants along the sea or on the Harbour. Highly recommended for a stay to discover the city.

Reaching out to the reception desk upon arrival when you do not have a phone is a bit challenging. No ring bell to let know that you have arrived and no direct access, via the elevator, to the reception desk which is on the 3rd floor. Only point of improvement I do have.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room and very spacious, loved that it offered a coffee nespresso machine, shower/toilet area was clean and had plenty of room. Overall a beautiful stay and would recommend to others. Be careful to read the fine print of what type of view you have.

That I couldn't leave my key at a "front desK" I accidentally forgot to leave my key (I had it on me) so I rang the helpline to see if it was possible to leave it somewhere in the lobby and I was told I had to go back and deliver it to bmy room, because it was my choice to check out early.

Excellent location, great view and great price. This hotel is inside Sofitel hotel but runs by Marsden hotel staff. The room size and furniture are the same as Sofitel but you only pay 1/3 of Sofitel price. I was so happy to find this hotel. Walking distance to ferry , train station , shopping area , great restaurants and bus stops. Highly recommended and guarantee you will not disappointed about this hotel.

The room, location and views were exceptional - excellent value for money. Views over the viaduct, the large size of the room, that it had a small balcony to go out on to and it's great location.

Room fittings are getting a bit tired, but was easy to look past that given everything else.

Bit confusion on arrival,as property is in same building as Sofitel,but once we were collected reception was smooth and friendly,,only query no street maps Room was superb,fabulous location overlooking Marina and Sky Tower,only a short walk to restaurants and cafes for breakfast Very spacious room,clean and comfortable

The staff was exceptional. They were warm and courteous, but the best part was that they were so flexible. The rooms are massive (for Auckland), the beds were so comfy and i love how spacious the bathrooms were.

Marsden is in Sofitel with hardly any signage, it was hard to locate. Maybe mentioning this little detail in the booking might be helpful

Excellent value for money! The location was great, the room was very clean and very comfortable. We arrived at midnight and we’re easily able to check in and get settled.

Friendly staff. Great, spacious room. Bed was comfortable and wide. Bathroom was also big, with shower AND bathtub. Had a small side balcony, just incase you'd like a quick fresh air without leaving the room. Smart TV provided, so you can cast your Netflix/Disney+/YouTube etc.

We didn't really use the room facilities so not too sure about that. But overall satisfied with my stay. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel within the Sofitel. Very opulent looking hotel from the outside with a stunning lobby. The hotel room was gorgeous- beautifully decorated with a great bathroom, including a bath which is so rare these days. A very spacious room with everything you needed , including Nespresso coffee machine. Lovely quiet location on the viaduct yet easy walking distance to everything.

TV so far away from the bed I struggled to see it with my bad eyes! Just shows how large the rooms are!

Location was perfect, beautiful views surrounding, super comfy bed and pillows, a great work station and staff we’re so accommodating made our stay super relaxed will definitely be back!!! 🌟
