Booked superior room which was clean and comfortable. Room was up to date with good facilities. Reception staff on arrival and check out friendly and efficient. Reception booked a taxi for us and contacted me on arrival. Female receptionist was free and assisted with bags to taxi. Breakfast had a great selection to chose from. Food well set out. Dining area very clean as was all areas of hotel that I could see. Loved my stay. Hope to return. Certainly would recommend.

I would have like to be able to order continental breakfast only at a reduced rate.

I love hat the in room dining menu and restaurant is all vegetarian - and the restaurant East serves delicious food. The breakfast buffet does have lots of meat though, which is a change because earlier reviews complained. The chef made me perfectly poached eggs - a fab buffet development.

Their online and phone staff manners are appalling - earlier reviewers have that totally right. I had issues with the weather and my flight was delayed for 24 hours. Both online AND on the phone, staff showed zero empathy and were hot only actively unhelpful, but were rude. I arrived a day late actually dreading my arrival and geared up for a fight only to be greeted with a smile. So while I had a great stay, I will never book there again, in case there are problems that require changes to my booking.

The beds were very comfortable with great pillows. We arrived early and they let us check in although we were happy to just leave our bags at reception. They took our bags to our room for us and check in was very easy at reception. Very easy to walk around central Auckland and although there was a building site accross the road there was no noise at all.

Parking was very expensive at $55 a day so we decided not to hire a car. Luckily for us we had a friend pick us up one day to take us out and we took public transport for the rest of our trip. The menu on offer wasn’t to our liking because of my allergies but there was a lot of other close options.

The excellent location has a brilliant breakfast, room service was fast and efficient. Clean and tidy with in-room air-con. The shower was good with decent pressure.

We were not advised of a "new year eves" bond of 500 on the room or a credit card. I don't have a credit card and the money I had was for spending, it was not in the fine print or mentioned beforehand, I was told this is a new policy just for new years eve, my parents also stayed on new years eve but this was not required of them, even though I am mid-thirties and clean and tidy I feel I was judged to be a risk, nearly ruined the whole weekend for my mothers birthday. I feel either everyone should be charged or no one and 100% needs to be mentioned beforehand. Also somewhat minor but the beds were really hard and 3 of the 4 of us had an inadequate sleep due to this.

We had a corner suite. Large room with a view of the tower. Room generally well laid out but surprisingly there were no international electric sockets. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast included was ok. Location was good. There is a rooftop bar open evenings with a great view but limited hours and loud music.

Breakfast was ok. No pool or gym on premises but you have access to a gym close by.

Great food and service at the resturant

The admin staff seemed like they were still learning the ropes. They wanted full payment at check-in so then we couldn't put the dinner on the room. They charged my credit card and charged a surcharge without asking if that was how I wanted to pay. The charged the rooms separately when I wanted one bill. However, in saying all that they were very polite.

We would prefer it the restaurant wasn't vegetarian. The coffee sachets in room were gross!!!, Breakfast Tea sachets also not nice. Standard Dhilma or Bell Breakfast tea would be better. Small pottle of milk would be great, rather than little containers. Please Tea cup & saucers :-)

We liked the location as it was close to everything - the within walking distance. We found the staff to be helpful and accommodating.

I would have liked more milk in the fridge and more tea as I am not a fan of some of the flavours on offer. When we requested more English breakfast we received one more and plenty of the flavour we didn’t like. Not a big problem but the only criticism we have.

Self check-in was convenient (although it didn't work when I tried to self-checkout and I still had to wait at the counter for a big group to clear). Very convenient having the restaurant and bar in the building. The restaurant was excellent, both the food and the service. The room was a good size, well laid out, with everything we needed, and was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the view was nice. Alexa was a nice touch.

Valet parking blocked the driveway which made pick up and drop off awkward for us and other guests, as we chose to park elsewhere.

The staff were excellent. Sharon at the reception was very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. They made sure we were treated special for the birthday by sending some lovely chocolates in our room. The valet was also so smooth and safe for the car to park in the premises. The 24hour room service was good too..

Nothing except a feedback for having provided no water bottles in the room, would be good if the hotel could give us atleast 2 bottles per day though it did not make a big difference in our stay.
