Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Luckily we were allowed an early check-in and an later checkout. However, we ended up leaving at 10 A.M. on check out day anyway. The little kitchen was perfect for our stay, we made breakfast every day and the hotel supplied the milk for our coffee. Kitchen was stocked with utensils and plates, bathroom had heated towel rack and ceiling heater which was very nice. The hotel was close to shopping and food but we rented a car to drive downtown. Parking at the hotel was free but we paid about 15 bucks a day downtown. There is free parking in town, just have to drive around to find it. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful and there is so much see!

The couch could have been a little more comfortable but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very well presented, really clean, comfortable and warm (heat pump) and had everything I needed. The small kitchen was well equipped and there was a good selection of tea and hot drink options. The room was quiet and had a little, private outside seating area. There is off street parking. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. I was arriving late and he kindly left my key in a lockbox and texted me pick up instructions. He also turned on the lights and heating in my room (it was a cold night) prior to my arrival, so my room was lovely and warm when I arrived. I would stay here again.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay. Lovely and clean. Very spacious too. Loved the wee extras like Sky movies, soho channel, chilled glasses and water, bubble bath for the spa bath, extra towels and replenished supplies like milk and toilet rolls. I would 100% stay here again. I've stayed on this road before and it's quite noisy but this time my room was upstairs at the rear and I barely heard the traffic at all. I really felt like the people that run this place really want their guests to enjoy their stay. 10/10 and I'll def be back!

clean and spacious room

both electric blankets did not work. one had no switch to turn it on and the other one simply didn’t work (despite the light coming on). the door stopper in bathroom is in middle of floor by toilet and we both stubbed our toes at least 3 times each.

Rod and his team are such naturally super helpful and responsive people, we have already recommended family and friends to stay at FYFFE when they next travel to Christchurch. We also discovered the Christchurch metro bus service is so super well connected, well designed, easy to use and efficient, the Singapore transport system can learn a lot from it. So FYFFE's location is prime because the bus routes enable easy access to all parts of Christchurch. FYFFE exceeds expectations : it has 6 star touches.

Good spot had an upstairs unit. Had everything we needed. Handy to restaurants.

They gave us the wrong code for the lock box so couldn’t get our key as promised. Had to ring them up instead. A little noisy.

The location was very good, close enough by car to the central city but also good shopping and cafes close by. The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable and (in a 2 bedroom unit at the rear if the property) it was quiet. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

I found the lighting in the living area was a bit too dim for working comfortably on my laptop during the evening.

Was a convenient place to stay. Bus stop right very close nearby to get too and from fast 5 netball. Room was exceptional. Very clean and modern. Walking distance to Westfield Riccarton shopping centre.

Would have been good to have some tiles along the wall near cooking elements as wall got quite hot while cooking.

I have used this motel in the past. It is situated in the part of town I wanted to stay at. The owners have changed since I was last there in 2020 but that did not matter. The new owner Rod Gray is a lovely person to deal with and when next I visit Chch, I will be staying there again.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice staff. We had back unit so it was quiet and we didn’t hear any noise from next door.

toilet paper holder was located where we had to twist back to get it so it was a bit uncomfortable but it’s a very minor issue.
