While the exterior is a near authentic tudor-style, the interior is decorated in a classic contemporary style, with modernised bathrooms and furnishings. Our room was spacious and we enjoyed the view looking out the upstairs bay window at the other buildings. Parking bays spacious too. Large TVs, good lighting, a desk as well as a table for eating. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and a great shower.

Coffee sachets in the room are a bit basic. We also had breakfast there and again the coffee offered was ok but heck it's New Zealand...

The off street parking was great. When entering the gates it felt as if you left the hustle and bustle behind, back to the safety of the hotel. Felt safe.

Experienced difficulty coming in the reception entrance way off the busy main street because a vehicle was exiting as we came off the road, potentially dangerous as there wasn't room for two vehicles to pass each other in the driveway (brick wall each side). Perhaps clearer signage in regards to which is to be used as the entrance and which is the exit.

Room is big, clean and tidy in a block of mordern style buildings. Location is good and easy to take transport. Wifi is fast, stable, unlimited and complimentary (verifiy once and you get access for 7 days). Personally I also enjoyed the sauna :)

Just minor things of personal taste. Becuase when I stayed the weather was rainy, I would prefer if the room door has a small shelter. The buffet breakfast was a bit salty for my taste. Not very easy to fit with the basin to fill in water.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our needs; easy walk into the CBD, close to parks, restaurants and shops. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our room was large and nicely appointed.

We had to ask for our wine glasses and coffee cups to be cleaned after use (there was no where for us to do this) and it would have been good to have tea and biscuit sachets replenished.

I really liked staying at this accommodation. I was very impressed with the new renovations. The bed was absolutely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and was able to communicate with ease via pen and paper. I look forward coming back to stay at this place again. The location was easy and the accommodation feels so proper British. Thank you so much for having me stay at your accommodation.

Good location to some local facilities and eateries. Very spacious unit, with some very handy features.

Work had been done in the room recently, and there was a layer of dust throughout the main room - a check of this by room service prior to use would have picked this up. Entrance door stuck and was hard to open and close - some maintenance required.

All the rooms are a good size. Plenty of storage places. The room we had this time was huge. Nice and warm.

Some people would find the rooms rather tired but I don't mind that. The beds are good but the pillows are awful. No substance to them. Need to invest in new ones. Brought our own from home this time.

Wonderful surprise to get an upgrade, the welcoming, helpful staff, the fruit in the reception area, the parking, the comfy bed, the superb shower, the toiletries were sublime, the 1/4 pint milk was a generous touch and the blackout curtains as well as quiet location.

My only small request would be that there be filter/cafetiere coffee available in the room, but actually, it was probably a blessing there wasn't any because I would have stayed up drinking it... so there's nothing not to like about this place, its excellent!

Theme park style hotel that got a laugh from the kids. Generous room size and very well presented and cleaned. Very convenient central location.

The themed heavy locks on the doors were very difficult to use, even for adults. The kids were scared of locking themselves in and getting trapped. A normal door handle would be much safer. Despite the large lounge and dining table in our room, there were no plates or cutlery, and the only water tap to fill the kettle was in the bathroom next to the toilet.

Location and value of money for the booking we made

the old door knob didn’t work during our stay and we unfortunately locked out our car key inside the room and we can’t get in in the cold night. Hotel staff was so helpful and have done whatever they can that includes moving us in a another room to stay while they fix the doorknob and we were able to gather. our staff and move it to the room we are.
