Great location and enjoyed walking to Hagley Park, restaurants and downtown. Outstandingly clean. Small thoughtful additions to make stays comfortable- electric blankets, hand towel and paper towels and variety of utensils in kitchenette, 2 stools for breakfast bar height bench. Liked that the rubbish bin allowed both rubbish and recycling.

We found the bed very soft, so if you have a bad back, don’t stay here.

The room was comfortable and spacious, with very good facilities, heating and much-appreciated aesthetic touches like Jo Ogier's framed prints featuring native birds, displayed in the sitting room and the bedroom.

I had to look for the extra duvet for the main bedroom under the stored pillows to be warm enough at night and occasionally the kitchen kettle didn't work for some reason. There was also an outdoor party next door on Easter Saturday, which delayed my sleep but the participants were enjoying themselves, without incidents.

Well, EVERYTHING! I had to contact Tina a few times earlier this year regarding our booking, she was most helpful back then, and continued to be when we arrived. Very helpful in regards to booking taxis etc. and nothing was too difficult for her. There were four of us, she had our units alongside each other, so we were able to come and go. We thought we had to order a taxi to take us to the airport for our return home, they took us, said it was part of the service. Amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer, their hospitality was 110%. Wonderful family!!

Absolutely NOTHING NEGATIVE about this Motel.

Spacious, clean and nicely-decorated room with original artworks, good lighting, plenty of kitchen space and a very comfortable bed. Good range of teas.

We must have got the management on a bad day: amazingly rude and quite aggro when we sought help about how to get the key to work. It's noisy being on Bealey Street on a Saturday night, but then we were in a room close to the road, I'm sure the ones set further back are better. Only one dinner plate :(

very spacious two bedroom apartment. big living and kitchen area. beds good. nice bathroom. two fans available which was helpful in the hot weather. sympathetic to our family situation esp for late check in and last minute booking. Bealey Ave can have loud traffic noise, but we were at the back area and didnt notice so much

we couldnt get the tv to work. the instructions in the book were out of date. cicadas noise very loud on trees

we stay here most times when we travel through christchurch. it is always of the same high standard. Close to places to eat and drink.

only downside of this trip was I requested a downstairs room on booking and the property advised my request was given. on arrival we had a first floor room. Bit disappointing

We stayed in a 2 bedroom flat. The heaters were on in the room when we arrived which we appreciated greatly. The owner of the property took the time to help us with our bags, give us a run down of the features & provided a recommendation for a dinner place within walking distance. We were able to walk to the city centre. I couldn't recommend a stay here highly enough.

Good sized room, clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. One of the few places that actually provides a GST invoice without asking when you have clicked the box requesting one. Nice to see separate bins for rubbish and recycling. Handy for a wide variety of dining options and close to the centre of town.

Shower was fine but a bit more pressure would have been better.

Exceptional service as flight was cancelled leaving us with less than 12hrs to let them know. They rebooked without hesitation, accommodating us in a smaller room that they upgraded when the chance arose. Greeted us in person just before midnight. Very clean rooms with everything we needed.

Loved every aspect of our stay.

All was perfect. The bed is super comfortable and big. The apartment was clean, functional and with all the facilities we needed for our stay. Although we use the car and sometimes Uber; the Lodge is well located.

Honest, nothing. Everything was very good. The lady at the reception was super friendly and helpful. Just continue with the service offered.
