The view from our room was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good.

We stayed at Chalet room and the view of the lake and the mountains were breathtaking. The room was spacious, loved the high ceiling and balcony was a plus to get fresh air. The location was convinient, close to Queenstown CBD and ski bus stop only being 2mins walk. Staffs were very welcoming and helpful.
Things to note: The walk from town to hotel is very steep up hill. The balcony door was sagging hard to open and close and make loud noise. The heater in our room didn't work but friendly reception staff brought us portable heater. The room is located on 2nd floor with no ramp so have to carry luggage up and down the stairs.

Location to central Queenstown is fantastic. Parking for cars given the location is also fantastic - it's first come first serve, but the staff were super helpful soo many times for me with the car parking - calling out Jayjim (duty manager) who got me out of a parking jam one of the late nights when we returned from a super long day trip. High standards of cleanliness which is absolutely amazing for an older-character property like this. Also - the morning breakfast buffet is superb and great value for money. More than anything else, what I really appreciated was how amazing and personable each and every staff member was, from the front-desk staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff - just all around A-stars!
I know a few people have already mentioned this - being an older character property, it has these "shower over baths" - it can be a little uncomfortable to use but certainly manageable. Honestly, given the location of the place and price I'd probably put up with a lot more.

The Hotel is situated about 500 mts. from City Centre. Lots of restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops etc. within walking distance. The room allotted to us was larger than usual with a balcony facing the lake and the main street. the balcony had a wonderful view of the lake, city, gondola etc. The staff is efficient and service is good. The hotel is situated on a slope and to get into and out of the hotel, it is necessary to deal with the slope and some stairs depending on the room allotted. This needs to be kept in mind while booking. I would highly recommend this hotel to tourist visiting queenstown.
The furniture is slightly old.

I really enjoyed the warmth and the promptness of the staff and the willingness to put our bags in our room. We are really satisfied with the level of service, especially after we checked out from the restaurant and they still agreed to keep our bags with them when we requested them. The staff were of fantastic help. Enjoyed the view and the stay thoroughly, especially the breakfast offered includerd lot of variety. Thank you Heartland!
Everything was neat tidy, but we happened to see web spider dust hanging from the top. It was very little though.

The location was great, very close to the centre of Queenstown, and everything was within walking distance. The view from the room was really nice, looking over the lake, and though it looked onto the main road, wasn’t actually too noisy. The amenities were pretty stock-standard in terms of what you get from hotels, so wasn’t disappointed that there wasn’t a kitchenette sink or stove-top.
Though it was a good stay, it definitely was on the pricey side for what you got. If you were a travelling couple like us, you could have easily saved some money and downgraded the accomodation and still got the same amenities (possibly even better). Also found that some of the staff didn’t treat us as well as other guests, we have guessed because we were young (and probably looked like we weren’t going to spend any extra money - which we ended up doing).

Staff were lovely & we really appreciated both young men who carried our luggage to & from our room. The view from our room was awesome! Comfy beds & a decent sized room. Great luggage shelf - don't often see them that large. Great location for walking into town, & close to bus stop when arriving from the airport - so easy! We thought it was great value for money & would stay here again.
Not a major issue but bathroom window seemed a bit fragile when 'cautiously' opening it to let shower steam out, but it stayed the distance.

Location was perfect for the Luma festival at the Gardens & an easy walk to the town centre. Room was compact but comfortable. There was an automatic light which came on outside the door which was great to make our way back at night. View from the twin room upstairs was lovely. Dinner in the restaurant was really good, large portions (photos are of food served not the locations it’s saved under). I had two sides and I wasn’t expecting them to be what I considered a full size meal for both.
Parking was a bit limited (until we had checked in and found our room number which had parking outside. We had dinner in the restaurant - we had pre booked but the waiter couldn’t find our booking (or the booking for the people who came in after us) but there was plenty of room, so it wasn’t an issue. He seemed a bit confused and flustered when taking our order. Unsure if he was new or just his personality). Food was great, however my Mac n Cheese side had bacon on top, which wasn’t stated in the menu (I’m a vegetarian). Thankfully, it wasn’t all through it so I just took it off.

We had a fabulous view from our room straight out to the Remarkables and the lake. With all the activity on the water the view is forever changing.- wonderful to watch from our balcony with a glass of wine. The large bed was so comfortable. All of the staff are so pleasant and professional- nothing is too hard. The chef is to be congratulated for the wonderful dinner we had in the restaurant. A great variety of breakfast options are on offer each morning. It is only a short walk up/down the hill from the hotel - a bit challenging at times but that’s Queenstown for you. Car parking availability also an asset.
The bathroom could do with a little attention - a bit tired and worn.

Very well located to town. Room beautifully comfortable. Lovely balcony with amazing views over the Queenstown town.
Parking was first come first served, so not sure where we would have parked if none available. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade in line with the lovely bedroom area, but it all worked out. Just noticed upon arrival and departure the dirty linen and rubbish bags left to the side of our room from the busy cleaners, which isn’t a very nice welcome sight, just felt that of course they have to get into rooms but remove your huge piles of rubbish and be aware of new customers checking in, they don’t want to see this.
