The rooms and views are exceptional!
There was no spa that was free, it all costed and I would've thought there was a spa due to it being a resort and spa

The view of the lake from our room, the bathroom was really great and spacious as well! It had the carpark and also a bus stop nearby which was helpful once we had to return our car.
The restaurant, it needs some updating I believe. We went a few times and the food was lovely, don’t get me wrong but maybe a buffet style for breakfast would be more practical rather than waiting for our food for long periods of time and it seemed a little understaffed at times and the poor staff member was alone/struggling so I think a buffet styled breakfast (it seemed like it had space for one) would make it. The pool facility as well, it looked nice but was a shallow pool and maybe needs some updating ? The hot tub part was nice and a free spa facility inside with the pool would be good ? But I understand due to hot tubs it may not have that (strangely some photos do show that they had one at some period of time?)

Location is superb.
No lift to 2nd floor for husband who had disability and myself with hip pain.Difficult to bring in and take out all our luggage. Would’ve requested 1st floor if had been aware of no lift. Bathroom was not very clean. Husband found black hair in basin, shower soap holder recess was not clean, shower inner walls didn’t appear to have been thoroughly cleaned as had soap scum on them and toilet brush holder had dirty liquid. Wondered if young household staff hadn’t been adequately trained. Room had a great deal of light coming in from hall lights throughout the night due to gaps around the door, which I found difficult as I like complete darkness. Website says restaurant is open every night but in fact is only Friday and Saturday. Not many other options nearby for food.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for accomodation in Queenstown, New Zealand. I came to NZ from Australia for a holiday, and ended up staying at the Nugget Point Hotel on two seperate occasions. I would have happily stayed at the Nugget Point Hotel for my entire NZ trip. Staff are accommodating, kind & helpful (shout out to Lee from front desk reception!). Facilities are beyond beautiful, with an incredible Spa, Sauna and Pool onsite. I booked a massage & facial for one afternoon, and was so impressed with the quality of the two services. The restaurant attached to the Resort has a great menu & good service. The views surrounding the Hotel are just incredibly beautiful. You’re truly reminded every time you look out a window that you’re in New Zealand, with stunning mountains and valley views. Book your stay in! You won’t regret it.

Fantastic stay in one of the river view rooms. The view was sensational! Very spacious room, great bathroom and comfy beds and couch, which made relaxing so easy! Great service from staff too. Found the location great - halfway between Arrowtown and Queenstown. It was our 25th wedding anniversary while we were there and we found a lovely bottle of wine and note waiting in our room on check in - very thoughtful and much appreciated. Will be back for sure!
There is no lift so we had to lug our large cases up and down the stairs. Not fun! Would have been great if staff had helped or if there was an alternative (ie: luggage elevator).

The view from the restaurant is amazing-top1 memory in NZ. Very high quality of the food, we had both dinner and breakfast here. The price is acceptable, considering the good quality of service and the greatest view! The room size is excellent, and staffs are friendly. Easy to get on the bus and go to Arrowtown-can't go wrong.
I ordered a coffee together with my breakfast, and I'm quite disappointed with the quality. It seems like it wasn't made by a skilled barista. I paid an extra $99 to enjoy the outdoor spa. However, the experience is not as expected, as you can't really see the rivers and anything unless you stand up the entire time- which is what I did.

We were happy with our room, which was a generous size. We chose the garden view, which was pleasant but I would really recommend choosing a river view room, if possible, as it is absolutely spectacular! The restaurant overlooks this vista and we were lucky enough to sit at a table by the window for breakfast on both mornings we stayed. The breakfasts were very good. The hotel is a few miles outside Queenstown and very easy to drive to and from.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on both days we stayed. Luckily, there was one restaurant open just along the road, within walking distance, on our first night as we had driven a long way and didn't really feel like a drive into town. I would recommend checking to see whether the facilities are fully open. I noticed that the Spa also had a couple of closed areas (ie steam room) and the pool itself was pretty cold. While I enjoyed staying here, there were signs here and there that some upgrading and maintenance is due.

We stayed 4 nights at the Nugget Resort and it was great, right from the afternoon of our arrival till the morning we checked out. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely charming Beatrice on Reception who proved invaluable because we had never been to Queenstown before and had endless questions about everything. Beatrice was a font of information. We were quite demanding guests and she answered all our queries in a very polite friendly helpful manner which we so appreciated. Thank you Beatrice. The room was huge and had a sofa with coffee table and a balcony overlooking the garden which was pretty. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the luxurious crisp white bed linen. The bathroom was well appointed with a shower and a tub and well maintained and everything worked. There was a small heated cupboard which was great to dry out our swimwear but I suppose it’s really for drying out ski clothes. Everything in the room was meticulously clean. In fact the whole Resort was very clean and well maintained. The Breakfast was good and plenty of it. We took daily advantage of the Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Jucuzzi. Tub. We really appreciated having those facilities available late into the evening. The Resort is set in an absolutely stunning location with spectacular views over the mountains and river. It’s at Arthurs Point, above Queenstown and about 10 to 15 minutes in a car or bus from downtown Queenstown. We actually found this to be an advantage. Queenstown is very busy and it was nice to “come home” to the peace and tranquility of this hotel. And to see Beatrice on Reception and have a little chat about our adventures of the day. She really did help make our stay extra special. You can get an Uber or a Taxi into town for between $20-$40 depending on the time of day.

I liked the friendly staff and the warm log fire burning as you walk in. The swimming pool was lovely as well as the sauna, shame the steam room wasn’t working at the time.
There wasn’t much info about the facilities in the room e.g hot tubs that are located outside of the pool room. We only knew they were there when we saw the signs near the pool but still struggles to get to them and there wasn’t any signs on the big window/ doors. We had a look and they were covered up it said appointment only so maybe if there was a bit more info in the room about booking them out would be cool?

Fantastic bed. Size of room. Cupboard storage. Big bathroom. Wonderful view over valley & mountains. Old European Spa resort style Devore. Amazing spa & pool. Coffee machine. Friendly helpful staff.
Couch looks great but wearing out. Level 3 rooms which look over car park & front entrance need privacy curtains as everyone arriving can look straight in. Water pressure in shower weak but we know this is being upgraded. Pity restaurant not open more than over weekend but realise staffing may be an issue.
