We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Canyons B&B, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Communication with the hosts was excellent, ensuring we had all the information we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The property itself is incredibly clean, comfortable, and warm. It provided a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, which made our visit all the more enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was the hot tub – a perfect spot to unwind and take in the serene surroundings. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful continental breakfast, a great start to our day. However, what truly sets The Canyons B&B apart is the breathtaking views. The scenery is absolutely stunning, offering a picturesque backdrop that we will never forget. Overall, our stay at The Canyons B&B was fantastic, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and peaceful getaway.

The Canyons was the most perfect accommodation for our NZ elopement and beginning of our honeymoon. The views were spectacular, so much so that we decided to cancel our Onsen sunset booking in favour of staying in and using the hot tub at the accommodation. We organised a breakfast for the morning of our elopement, and it was plentiful and delicious. The room itself was very comfortable, with plenty of space for our luggage as well as indoor and outdoor seating areas. We particularly loved heading outside to drink our coffee under the gazebo, even when it was a bit chilly. The hosts themselves were also wonderful, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would love to return some day!

What a wonderful location, just a few minutes' drive out of Queenstown. The most spectacular view of the Shotover River and Coronet Peak. Friendly, welcoming staff that made it easy to arrive. And super cosy. It was cold (and snowed) while I was there, but the combination of radiator, heater and electric blanket meant that I was always warm. The bathroom was well appointed, generous toiletries if you needed them, and plenty of towels. This was a perfect place to be out of Queenstown, yet accessible to all the sites. And there were even sheep. Highly recommended.

We loved our time here and it was the perfect intro to NZ as our first stop during our two-week trip to the South Island. Jennie was so thoughtful throughout our two days there, and even provided us with a delicious breakfast since she knew we were on our honeymoon. We also enjoyed chatting with her as she showed us our room and the beautiful property. The room was gorgeous, impeccably clean and so very comfortable. The level of detail that went into ensuring our stay was awesome really stood out to us. We also loved being a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, but only a (very) short drive away! The setting is truly incredible, made even more memorable by the resident sheep :) Thank you for an awesome stay -- we hope to be back one day!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

So much care was put into the aesthetics inside and out. I was blown away by how beautiful the rooms and setting are. The house is on a hillside surrounded by mountains (and some sheep) that looks over the river gorge. Looking from your room across the gorgeous deck to the river and you feel you are in a 5-star hotel. That feeling continues with the luxurious bath and the sumptuous breakfast cart delivered to your room. The nice hot tub was another perk. (Also, I recommend Canyon Brewing nearby if you want to pop out for pizza and drinks.) This was the perfect place to end our honeymoon in New Zealand.

Not a huge drawback, but be aware that you will need a car. There isn't really anything walkable.

Fantastic property, location is brilliant! Gorgeous place to stay, super comfortable room and the breakfast is outstanding. We spent two weeks traveling the South Island and this was our very favorite B&B. Jennie and Matt are wonderful hosts and really make you feel welcome. The view is stunning; we lived relaxing on the patio. Very private, with wonderful amenities.

Everything is just like a dream. The canyons is super beautiful and I can't explain to you how fabulous this place is! Super cheap rate and you get 10 stars hotel rate which is big and cozy room with netflix, free hot tub service, breakfast with the best view of your life and the shotover view is to die for.

I might say it is a bit hard if you use public transportation but you can take uber, it is just few minutes from downtown, not expensive ride. Worth a penny!

One of the best accommodation we have in New Zealand so far. The great view, great host, great room and awesome breakfast provided. Everything just so good and we enjoy our one night stay so much. So glad we manage to have a chance visit The Canyons and we will definitely come back next time. We spent quite sometime at the cosy corner outside the room watching the great view with hot teas. So peaceful and comfortable experience.
