Really nice place to stay. The beds were really comfy. Heaters in the room ket it warm and extra blankets for when it was super cold. Big kitchen spaces with everything you need Good location, 10 minute walk to town. The staff were so amazing - We were upgraded for free, they helped us feel comfortable when there was an incident with another guest and they looked after my little teddy til I could collect it when I left it there. All while being so friendly and caring.

The shared bathrooms are communal for your particular room unit, example: 3-5 bedrooms per unit with one bathroom with stalls for toilets and showers. This means they are unisex Myself and my partner (both female) had a very uncomfortable and upsetting situation with a male guest who harassed us in the shared bathrooms. So if you are worried about sharing a bathroom with men do not stay here because you cannot avoid it just in case. Thankfully the staff were very understanding and moved us to a different room straight away. However we will now not stay anywhere with unisex showers as we have been made scared something will happen again.

We had two rooms. The unit/apartment was nice, tidy and clean and had a decent sized kitchen. Great location as it was only a 10min walk down to the Queenstown lakefront.

A frustration that many people shared was the lack of parking around the complex. Parking wasn’t assigned and was on a first come first served basis. This led to other people parking in your area (next to your unit) resulting in no parking being available for yourself. The New Year period exasperated the situation with so many people staying at the complex and surrounding accommodation providers.

The location is walking distance to the town centre and the view is stunni

There is no cafeteria.but the common kitchen is good for cooking your food. The room size is too small for 3 occupants. I travelled with my 2 adult kids. The TV remote is not working.There is no info on How to operate it I booked the room for 3 pp but provided amenities for 2 only. 2 cups, 2 teaspoon, 2 towels, I ended up getting the 3rd set from reception every time we needed one. The cleaners do not refill the hand soap

Cabin was spacious with a beautiful view from the outdoor area. Unit was very tidy and orderly with allocated shelves in the fridge and cupboard for the respective rooms. This saves us the trouble of having to put food labels on our food. Bedsheets were clean and crisp. The toilets are right outside the room, making it convenient for the night trips. The lounge in each of the units is very comfortable.

The laundry room was dirty, machines look worn and overall could do with a bit of cleaning. Parking was not sufficient for the units and we had to park further away.

It could be easier a higher rating, because it is a quiet place to stay but still next to centre of Queenstown and the bathroom was fine. Staff were friendly.

But what is hard to except when paying like 300NZD a night was the furniture. Couch with a big cut hidden by a pillow, hub which looks pretty used, chairs on the outside area which almost fall apart when trying to sit on them. (Seems like they already trying to replace their old furniture, because we had new chairs outside when we came back to the accommodation the last evening)

We spent a night here. The room & amenities were as expected by us (few of the kitchen items were old and in rundown condition) We arrived early & the guy at the reception checked-us in and helped us with what we could do in Queenstown till the room is ready. We could find a parking spot in front of our room. The room was ready at the check-in time. We had a room in the ground floor and there was some noise from the room above us at night but they quietened down after sometime. The property is walking distance to the centre as well as the Gondola.

Our stay at Pinewood was memorable, enjoyable and comfortable with all most everything at very high standards. We are elderly couple and stayed there for two nights. If the bunk bed placed in that room was not there, we would have felt more comfortable. We had made the booking more than three months in advance and they could have allotted a room with only a double bed without the bunk bed. The kitchen, the toilet, the bed etc were all good as also the staff. I would recommed this hotel to anyone who would like comfortable accomodation at

The room seemed much nicer than the room we previously had stayed in at Pinewood lodges and the parking that was available is always great. The price in relation to the location is always perfect for us.

It was very easy to hear what was going on around us in our room, the walls seemed very thin and we could constantly hear conversations and people walking down the hallway in this particular room. The other room we had stayed in wasn't as nice as this one but seemed more private, luck of the draw.

We stayed in Unit P1. It was nice having it just be our family in three bedrooms plus kitchen, living, bathroom. The layout was great. There was good heating and comfortable beds in roomy bedrooms. The kitchen had a decent size fridge and stove and huge rubbish bin. The living area had a comfortable lounge suite and a basic dining table and chairs. It was only a 10min walk into town. We were able to find parking around the accommodation. We could return our keys before reception opened. It was great value for money.

-We really didn't like the squeaky floors down the hall. - We couldn't close our bedroom doors without locking them, it would be nice to be able to snib them. - An update in the bathroom and kitchen area would be very welcome, it is very old. - An earlier checkin time than 3pm would be good although staff were great and let us come at 2pm because we had a baby we needed to attend to and we needed to change before a lunch function.

Quite an interesting concept with self-contained units. Ours had 3 dorms, two bathrooms and a small kitchen and common area. ABSOLUTELY THE QUICKEST WiFi!!! And I can also recommend the laundry, the machines are very good. Reception has long opening hours which is rare these days.

Beds don't have lights or sockets, the upper bunks don't even have ladders, no idea how you're supposed to climb up. Small room, I had to keep my luggage in the kitchen, no lockers. Lots of long-term residents. A bit of noise from the outside in the evening. Kitchen didn't have recycling bins, they're only outside. Luggage storage 5 NZD/day which seems excessive.
