- The pool was amazing, great for all ages ! - The game room, great ! - Beds were comfortable - Buffet breaky, yum ! - The desserts at dinner buffet were delish, great variety always coming out - LOVE that kids under 13 eat for free ! LOVE that. - Free parking - No security deposit taken ! - LOVE the coupons the reception gives you for activities to do with your children, used a few of those !

- There were loads of ants crawling all over the bathroom !! Not very nice to have. - Body wash in shower was empty (no biggie) - The buffet dinner. Hmm i just feel like it lacked flavour, it was either suler spicy, or just semi bland. There was no hot food that i went back for seconds for. 65 is quite pricey too. - The room also needs a bit of TLC. There was a massive squished bug in the corner of the roof. Yuck ! Old lollie under the bed. Wall paper ripped off wall near light switch, also the state of the roof by the door, the railing ? Can see the mechanics of the air con im assuming, very dirty looking. - The amount parking when there is an event happening, was scared to leave and come back to no park (which is what happened) had to wait until someone left.

The hotel is close to Te Puia and redwood tree walk. The pool is smaller than it looks from the photos so if there are a few kids playing in it you won't want to swim at all. There are some old marks on the walls of the hotel room, but a UBS charging port is installed in the room and the bathroom is modernly decorated, so it can be regarded as keeping up with the times.

The breakfast has a complete variety, including hot and cold dishes, drinks and fruits. As the hotel is big, serve lots of guest, so be ready to have an average quality food. Continued cleaning tables, setting clean ones, The waiter looked tired and did not interact with the guests. Before leaving the restaurant, I made a point of thanking the waiters to encourage them for their hard work.

I ordered breakfast which it said was included in the price but apparently that’s only for 2 people which it hadn’t stated and the third person was a child over 12 so I had to pay for them $15 a day - they also said they didn’t have any of our rooms left so they would upgrade us but I’m not sure what the upgrade was as the room was the same - it had a balcony that was tiny had no furniture and no view as there was another building in front - I also dont understand why there were two towels , two cups ,2 of everything when I had a room booked for 3 people

Rydges Rotorua is conveniently located within walking distance of Whakarewarewa Maori Village and a short drive from Waiotapu. Our room was clean and comfortable and included a refrigerator, electric kettle, tea and coffee; bathroom had plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide selection of food and are both convenient and good value, although the scrambled eggs our first morning were very undercooked and unappetizing.

The directions from Google Maps directed us to the FORMER Rydges Rotorua, which is next to the racetrack; if it doesn't direct you to the correct hotel, you can enter its actual address instead, or Whakarewrewa Maori Village to get there. I considered the location of Rydges Rotorua convenient, but people with a more acute sense of smell may find the pervasive sulfur smell unpleasant.

2017 we wer there with the husband without kids.(husband's work conference)Me and My husband wer talking one day we will bring our kids back there.And Heard it's changed the name from Holiday Iinn To Rydges so I said to myself why not go there and see if it's still the same. Our Trip is about celebrating my husband birthday 🎂 n I Surprised him to book this Hotel after 10years because he do love it at the first time..I was Looking for a family room But it's all Booked out so I booked the Delux one...I'm happy to say My family esp my kids just Love Love it.....Beds are comfy and Activies are on point 2.The main part yo ourselves is buffet breakfast and dinner...We do Love it...💯👌🏽 Staff are all overwhelmed...Just Love their Services in every ways...Hotel is nice n clean and Rotorua is always our Place for get away...But Rydges will be always the first on our List I'm afraid haha..Definitely gona come back n Recommend to our families and friends 😊 Thank you for having us we do enjoyed our staying in 2nights...Keep it Up the Good job and Hope to see you all nxt time. For me and family nothing everything are perfect during our stayin💯👌🏽

A reasonably large hotel that provided value for money. We were satisfied with the comfortable room and the facilities of the hotel. Parking was a bit tight, but there was plenty of overspill parking on the road outside if needed. We ate one night in the restaurant which was good value. A buffet meal with plenty of choice and a reasonable cost. The room didn't have much of a view to speak of, but that didn't affect us. It was comfortable enough and functional. There was a pool which was pleasant enough, although more shade could have been provided.

Previouly been to this hotel as Holiday Inn pre covid. Was happy to return and see refur'd while retaining all the goog things. Good location, comfortable spacious rooms, good ammenities pool, guest laundry, kids games room, great kid friendly resturant and great staff Was pleased to see the old slippery tiles by pool had been replaced. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Only issue during entire stay was a small water leak associated with air conditioner on the last night of our stay but not a big deal and these things happen.

Big and spacious, nice friendly staff. Although booking says it will deduct from your credit card a day prior, Rydges only charges you when you arrive which was good. I was not able to use the heated pool and jacuzzi because we were so busy but it was good to have. My request for goosedown pillows made for a very very pleasant sleep and the beds were so comfortable also. The tub floor is quite slippery so make sure to put down the rubber shower mat in the tub before showering. There was also a dedicated pink facetowel to wipe makeup residue off so it wont stain the white hotel towels.

Shared spaces on arrival at the hotel wide, light and roomy. Pleasant and helpful staff on reception - both on arrival and departure. My room was also quite spacious and certainly comfortable, offering everything I needed and a bit more besides. Plenty of guest parking on site.

I dropped the TV remote and it went under the spare bed. I reached under to retrieve it and with it dredged out a small clump of aluminium foil and an almond. I know you can find that sort of thing in lots of similar situations - but even with that knowledge it was momentarily unpleasant. I know it must be a real mission to clean under the beds, especially when another bed gives little room to manoeuvre. But you did ask. Google maps sent me to your old location which was a delay I could I have done without FYI.

Fantastic facilities for family and those travelling for work. The property offers everything you need in one location with its heated pool, hot tubs, play room, free wifi, conference rooms, bar and restaurant. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable with a fridge and kettle. Well priced bar with great portion sizes.

When we arrived the first receptionist we spoke with was quite cold and unfriendly when we thought our card would be charged via booking.com (as happens with other properties). Wasn’t the best first impression, but fortunately the rest of the staff and facilities quickly turned that around.
