Loved the service and people, nothing was a bother. We have a hybrid vehicle and could charge our vehicle, there are designated spaces for this as well. This was so great and would book here again just for that reason. The rooms had almost everything a family needed, full kitchen, comfy beds and bonus with the hot tub, I used it so many times. Having a heated pool was another extra bonus and our daughter loved it. If there was air conditioning it would've topped things off.

We visited in summer, struggled to sleep without air conditioning. A little spruce up to the rooms would be great.

Room as big enough. Was warm. The in-room spa pool was amazing. Used it every day. The kitchen had everything - includng a full sized oven, a microwave and fridge. There was a TV in both rooms. Comfy recliner chairs in the lounge. It was in a central location, close to the city centre and lake. We were really happy with the stay here.

The suflur smell was a bit overwhelming. I didn't sleep the first night as I had difficulty breathing. I adapted over a couple of days and by the time we left I barely noticed it. We were there for 5 days.

Really really helpful and nice staff. Helped with washing and providing a plug adapter which we could keep. Useful to have a kitchen but couldn’t cook much in the room. Was good for popcorn and tea and coffee (provided on arrival!) Plenty of parking.

Slightly unclear location wise as the property next door almost has almost same name and is run by same people. Had to move the car 3 times! Not really walking distance to centre of Rotorua but good breakfast place nearby. Room was cleaned during the day but not locked by staff once they were done. Returning to find the room unlocked was a little disconcerting.

Great location and comfortable bed. A little noisy as it is all ground level, hotel/motel. No air conditioning, which was not an issue for us and nowhere to put your case except on the floor, but once again not really an issue for us. Tristan was an absolute delight to deal with and very helpful with our sightseeing planning. There is an onsite laundry and clothes line or dryers available. Be warned you will get the strong Sulphur smells coming from the geothermal areas, but thats all part of the experience!

We loved the outdoor pool area. The pool was a wonderful temperature even in very cold blustery conditions. Having the pool noodles there to use was an added bonus too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and i loved that daily room services were optional. The motel was very comfortable and we would stay here again in a heart beat. We found the location very good too.

Upon arrival we found food in the groove in the top of the fridge door, where you put your fingers in to open it. It wasnt a good first impression. I think one of the first things that I did when we got there was to open the fridge to put the milk away and it was a little off putting. The rest of the motel seemed to be clean though.

Private spa! Stove so you can do your own cooking. Very clean & comfortable. Very quiet location. Having a car is optimal as the town centre and bus stops require a bit of a walk, plus not everything in Rotorua can be accessed on foot/bus. Car park supplied for cars out the front.

Would have preferred some block out curtains in the bedroom as some light was coming through in the morning. Wifi didn’t quite reach at one end of the bedroom, but was good everywhere else.

Amazing amazing stay we had with Sport of Kings. stayed 3 nights here - very spacious room, comfortable, kitchen facilities were good, private hot tub in the room was pleasant - it was behind the bedroom in an “outside area” making it just cool enough but also sheltered hence privacy not an issue and also not too cold even in the autumn months with temperatures around 10degrees. Hot tub area was also kept very clean. The staff and owner of the property were also very helpful in providing recommendations for attractions, and in assisting us in our needs! For example, we had driven through some mud and gravel roads and wanted to wash our car - they promptly set up the hose for us. Will definitely stay again!

The room was clean, spacious and well kitted out. The kitchen had all the essentials and then some. The smart TV was a nice bonus s with a few streaming options. The location is great as it is quite central and close to everything but on a quiet side street. There were extra amenities like the spa pool, EV charging and heated pool. The pool was a dream and just so relaxing. I compared getting out of the pool to leaving the womb. We were fortunate to have the owners there during our stay and they were friendly and great to chat with. Overall a fantastic stay. We have definitely found our go-to Rotorua accomodation.

Very friendly staff. Kidney-shaped communal swimming pool was big enough to swim in and in-room hot tub was a generous size (and hot!). There were varied room sizes and types. Very suitable for families. There were duties with private laundry facilities that we didn’t find out about until we were leaving!

The older part was a little tired compared with our other stays but compensated by the good relationship with staff.

Very clean and had all the amenities you needed. Small kitchen, hot plate, kettle and toaster. Be easy to cook a small meal. Perfect for the stop over we were looking for. Comfortable beds. Not a lot of places to dine if you wanted to walk and enjoy a couple of drinks, that would be the only fault. I was driving the next day so this didn't effect me. It was only a short drive to some lovely places.

The coffee provided, however that is a personal taste thing, others may enjoy it.
