A very well equipped room with cooker, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery etc. Room was clean and well presented. Lady on reception was very friendly and extremely helpful, giving advice on the locality and onward travel.

We had Room 1 which was rather close to the road and so quite noisy. Other rooms would be quieter. Also there is no air conditioning and we arrived at the end of a hot day with no breeze. It took a little while for the room to cool down.

there was a bit of traffic noise you could here the next door tenants talking at 6.00 in the morning no air conditioning but the was a heater One of the few motels that charge 100% if you booked the wrong night and didnt turn up usually most charge about 70% Shower flow was average

Loved the room, super comfortable and quiet. Easily locatable motel as right at start of main town road. Loved that my furboy was able to come in and stay by us. Loved the facilities

Shower was a tad slow pressure and hard to get warm, either too hot or cold Nothing too upsetting though - clean

The owners and the cleaner were amazing so polite and friendly, owners gave our kids a whole heap of ice creams for free and half a watermelon which is something you don’t usually get when staying at a motel, also told us some awesome places to go visit. Perfect location would definitely stay again.

The location was ideal for us being close to other members of our family. The property had a lovely whanau feeling to it. The Staff were really friendly, the Host was very obliging in making our stay comfortable and went out of her way to please us. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property.

The rain

Fantastic customer service, was greeted with a very friendly smile on arrival and they were very helpful to map out local sites. Room is humble but was very clean and had everything you need, also close to shops etc. Definitely worth your money. Would book again.

location is perfect. we booked a total of 5 rooms for our family. Were from the area however live in Hamilton/Auckland very close to town and beaches. There was even a spa pool and guest laundry which was a bonus and an outdoor cooking area if you want to cook food that may have strong odour. We also had two infants with us Allison and John were so accomodating and asked if we needed a cot and baby bath. lovely hosts and lovely housekeepers.

Excellent stay, My kids and dog enjoyed our stay, close to everything, Shops, Beaches, Swimming spots and best of all the beautiful landscapes Whakatāne has to offer!!!

The property was very clean, and kitchenette well equipped to cook our own cooked breakfast.

The road noise and rattly heater. We opted to sleep in seperate beds as the queen sized bed, with no pocket springs was unlikely to give us a good nights sleep. There was nothing wrong with the facilities per say, concrete block, single glaze windows 1970’s build, sheets, quilt, towels, pillows all great quality.

Looved the comfort of the beds, veery warm. Loved that you had mysky as my baby loves to watch her morning cartoons. A good shower is a hot and hard pressured kind of shower which we got, also a shower head to take off which makes it easier to shower babies! With KFC, Macdonald's, burger king, liqiour store as I see, and the gas station just down the road, this accomodation is very close to perfect. The only biggie is for parents to just keep an eye out for our kids outside, as accomodation is close to busy road. When the staff was trying to get in contact with me as I was out of service for a few hours, we quickly explained and boss man was veery polite and understandable, so very grateful for that! Thank you for the overnight stay! We truly appreciated it ☺️

It was a late night check in, so just heavy weight traffic was difficult to sleep through.
